  • A new age begins September 2, 2022. Journey to Middle-earth with The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power
    ---
About "The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power"
Amazon Studios’ forthcoming series brings to screens for the very first time the heroic legends of the fabled Second Age of Middle-earth's history. This epic drama is set thousands of years before the events of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, and will take viewers back to an era in which great powers were forged, kingdoms rose to glory and fell to ruin, unlikely heroes were tested, hope hung by the finest of threads, and the greatest villain that ever flowed from Tolkien’s pen threatened to cover all the world in darkness.
Beginning in a time of relative peace, the series follows an ensemble cast of characters, both familiar and new, as they confront the long-feared re-emergence of evil to Middle-earth. From the darkest depths of the Misty Mountains, to the majestic forests of the elf-capital of Lindon, to the breathtaking island kingdom of Númenor, to the furthest reaches of the map, these kingdoms and characters will carve out legacies that live on long after they are gone.

@Belerez Tolkien spent a great deal of time world building. So much of his work was to try and create a cohesive and reasonable universe where a whole range of different of different fantastical stories could be told, with as little discontinuity as reasonably possible. I think its safe to say the current teaser has enough differences to what was suggested in the silmarillion, for reasonable concern.

Oh, and a great soundtrack is vital as well. Howard Shore's compositions for the film trilogy are practically perfect. The music in this trailer sounds incredibly generic, so let's hope that the actual series has decent music, preferably with motifs for each kingdom/area (or for specific major characters).

I know that this looks like it will be bad but we, as a fellowship, will go through the dark times. Yes we won't like this but there is other forces in the world beyond the will of evil and what we must do with the time that was given to us is to not watch this and move on.

"El que rompe algo para saber lo que es, ha perdido el camino de la sabiduría"
    J.R.R. Tolkien
Lo que han hecho aquí es ir en contra del legado creativo de su autor, se han inventado casi todo, confunden escenarios y hacen progresismo irrisorio para llenar su cuota en vez de ir por el camino correcto, habiendo tanto que usar prefirieron hacer el trabajo flojo de crear algo más light y dañar una obra tan especial para muchos, debería darles vergüenza
