- Forgot to mention: LT stands for laptop! Yay!
Quang's got a game coming out soon, have a gander: thexvid.com/video/ln3kaufVupk/video.html
The PC Engine LT - a big chunky clamshell that won't run off batteries! Like a giant Game Boy Advance SP that you can't play on a bus. But it's a great way to play Air Zonk in bed! (You'll need an adapter if you have the Turbografx-16 version.)

I imagine at one time ashens wanted to start filming on a table, or perhaps a nice desk. But then realized he was too far deep...
Perfect for playing Strip Fighter and Eroge VNs on the subway lol
It looks like a misshapen gba sp
Same intro from 9 years ago lol
3:10: the DC input on either side powers the whole unit.
4:30, you can power it using an external battery pack. The Lynx uses the same connector, and you can use the Lynx's official external powerbank
Trains have power again!! Well, in London... everyone else doesn't really need it.. I don't think northerners have smart phones anyway
I want it
Hi I love the videos on the cheap hand held games. You hate them all lol, but my question is have you ever found any of them quite good? Or dare I say, impressive?
Can we get a "reprint" of these? I love how clunky it is. I mean I know for its time it was super duper sleek and awesome...
Just a reminder Fuckonami
Hmm... I wonder if I can play touhou on it.
Gbm
Any one remember the gdm
Stuart! I can see your wonderful mug reflected in the screen.
The world needs more beauty.
Never watched a 50fps video on TheXvid before.
I wonder why they decided to change the form factor of the Turbo Express for the Japanese market?
Or was this a separate product altogether?
The PC Engine LT a separate product. The Turbo Express in Japan is called the PC Engine GT.
It has a crack-pipe on the top of it.
Crack
You still make videos
It was going so well until "no batteries, has to be plugged in at all times." Da fuq!? Seriously, they wanna charge that much and you can't even play it on the train.
PC Engine line was ahead of its time. You could play your games on your desk with the LT, in handheld with the Express, or on your television with the 16. A synergy that only recently became mainstream.
Didn’t this guy have the same sofa for around 12 years?
I wonder how many garbage devices you’ve collected over the years
LT reboot is hapnimg for sure
Wow this thing is really chunky and it doesn’t look all that handy,so i think the turbo express is waaay better then this thing.
This is soooo awesome... Much better than the original game boy...
What episode is that line from where you're holding to troll doll and say "he looks like he just walked in on his mother having sex with Hitler or something...", that line always has me falling over laughing!
That couch is national treasure
OH COME ON!!! Never seen anything like it since??? GBA SP is essentially the micro version minus tv and batteries
Really wouldn't look out of place in Blade Runner, at least to me.
This doesn't look like Castle of the Winds...
Looks like a Gameboy SP on steroids lol.
Sometimes i dont understand Japanese developers. They had PERFECT handheld for its time, but for world they release Gameboy :D I know, 2 different companies but...
What do you think about the new COPPA and FTC rules? Since you review toys you'll be affected. No more money or notifications.
Are those the same cards as used for turbografx?
Are you a PS4 player, or an XBOXOne player?
I'm a PC Gamer!
MORE OLD PC CONTENT AT YOUR LEISURE KIND SIR
Why the couch?
If they use this form factor and have a built in screen I'd still like a port for an external controller and an HDMI output.
That bloody deep breathe in every 15 seconds gets extremely annoying! Breathe in a lot quieter or stop breathing all together!
The gameboy advance has let itself go.
I will never grow tired of the design of 80s and early 90s electronics
Yes, quite beautiful chunky device, but the whole thing of having to plug the bugger into an outlet somewhat defeats it's usefulness, unless somebody is already using the telly for something else at the time you want to play a game. But at this price I'm not amazed that these things are rare.
The toy of rich bastards of days gone by.
If you only had some good PC-Engine games, I'm pretty sure this would've been a blast to have back in the 90s
Damn, how'd this guy get a ps5 so early?
Wow! Is that an actual glossy screen or a piece of protective glass like on the iMac? If it is a glossy screen, Damn!
Wait- I could have sworn Ashens was dead... I guess I was wrong. Nice video.
This reminds me, I need to finish Hi Score Girl sometime
You should finish HI score girl NOW especially since second season is coming out
Oh boy, soon this channel will be dead
Wow how this is backlight? Looks better tnen GBA SP front light
The bloody video was far too long and the interesting part far too short. I would have appreciated if Ashen had more (and better) games to show off on it.
It’s 2019 and over 100 thousands of people watching Ashen unboxing vintage computer. You are damn good.
You can get composite a/v output from the pc engine portion through the expansion port on the back via cheap passive DIY cables / adapters, if you want to. There was an official adapter sold for that in the states called the "turbobooster". There are now also various enthusiast doodads that plug into the expansion slot and give you scart/rgb/whatever.
Before the game boy advance SP, there was the PC engine LT.
Portable TV tuner in that?! Was it any good?? What an absolute dream device.
Luv the small console and compact hu cards.
You never connect your audience, but you connect with your audience.
never seen one of these coolies
I have a brand new boxed one. Keeping for a rainy day
@ashens Technically if you can add an external antenna, it's quite possible to use a digital converter with it to pick up modern tv stations. Yes it would be crazy to want to do that but it's still entirely possible.
