Yeh I'm addicted to carbs and suger recently, and coffee, ADHD thing I dunno. Anyhow, what are ya pounding on, looks RxRish? Been looking for something myself, and been $aving up for a belt sander/grinder... Speaking of grinding, some who have 4in belt grinders usually cut the sides off for a nice crisp 4in platten.

the "2 unit things" on the calipers is 0.200 (well you measured 0.201) inches, or also pronounced "two-hundred thousandths". The dial reads .001-.099 between the tenths position, so if the hand of the dial was at the 'three o'clock' position and you passed the 1 inch mark, between the 1 and 2 tenths position, that would be 1.125in. (by now you've either figured it out or someone else has told you, but I'm a machinist and your videos helped me try and get into a field working with my hands, and I use dial calipers daily so I figured I'd try and help you out)

Man thank you for reminding me to just go for it and figure stuff out along the way. I was all about just going for it with forging and fabing things about a year ago, and then something changed and I kinda lost the desire to put my head down and just try new things. I'm excited to get to my "shop" again. Also, I am a youth pastor and in this video you said you go to church. That is awesome! What church do you go to?

That sort of gap helps when You're hardening the steel. At the area of plunge line there is big difference between thick ricasso and the edge of the blade and when You harden it, there's a chance it will crack right in that spot, resulting in a weak and useless blade. By the way I really like Your attitude and passion for making knives and so... You don't have the best equipment, You're not professional but You've taken the opportunity to actually make something instead of spending lots of time on PC. That You do anyway and that's the reason why are your videos as good as they are. Thanks for man who has taken his life into his hands!

This kid will really be something when he stops whining and grows to be a man. Keep it all balled up. Deep inside. Where it belongs. Like a real man. We all could complain, but who the hell is really going to listen? Toughness is not something that someone starts out with. Its cultivated. Like a field of shit. Keep up the great work and vids. My suggestion is to just cut the bullshit. All praise to jesus and all. But it is the real world buckaroo.

Also man, do you think in some parts of the videos you can put a time stamp of how long a step took you and also why you're doing some of these things "like tempering" I understand the gist of it all but am confused on what all of the steps exactly do to the steel, and also in one part of the video near the end you said you didn't want it to get too hot when you were grinding it I'm unsure why.
Anyways, I've always loved your videos man I've been subscribed to your forever keep up the good work.

I get my carbs now from vegitables only, and eat what would be considered Keto I guess.
