What heavyweight fight do you want to see? | Ballers on Brawlers | Max on Boxing

  • Published on Mar 30, 2019
  • Paul Pierce, Chauncey Billups and Jalen Rose of NBA Countdown sit down with Max Kellerman of Max on Boxing to discuss what heavyweight fight they want to see next. They discuss a potential rematch between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder but they also question where Anthony Joshua falls into the mix. They also discuss the possibility of Floyd Mayweather Jr. returning from retirement to "whoop someone."

Errol spence was around, Thurman was around, DG was around, etc he stopped fighting the top dogs during the Money Mayweather phase.
Mayweather had extremely high ring IQ, had a huge arsenal of moves, was a master technician, one of the best defensive boxers of all time.
But he WAS NOT HABITUALLY hungry to fight the best of the best at their primes.
    Notable wins:
De la hoya was 34 and a controversial win
Hatton was 29 but a super lightweight
    Marquez was 36
    Mosley was 39
    Cotto was 32
Maidana was 31 and controversial win
    Pac was 36
This is not a jam packed resume with top p4p prime fighters with dominant KO/TKO wins. Almost all of those notable wins went the distance....Its padding. It looks good to have a famous name with a W next to it. The other 43 fights are forgettable.
There are exceptions, but a boxer’s prime is 25-30yrs old in the lighter divisions -assuming they didn’t go through constant wars and fight every two to three months over the course of decades etc. Every boxer ages differently depending on circumstances.
Although him destroying a 24yr old undefeated Canelo at the age of 36 was INSANE! Haha

🤷🏾‍♂️Billups, it’s dumb to think someone would take punishment unnecessarily just to prove they can overcome adversity. Anyway Floyd never hit the canvas but he has overcome adversity in and out of the ring and if you don’t know this, you don’t know shit about boxing. Just shut up and dribble.✌🏾

there goes Kellerman with his political, leftist nonsense. He should join the View with the old bitty's. There was no evidence or reason to call the guy a racist. The guy said nothing racist. All he did was challenge Wilder to a fight, and just happened to be white...So What?!
Max is a leftist antagonist. He tries so hard kissing up to us (blacks) in order to constantly display his ant-racism that I'm convinced He IS!

In my opinion Deontay Wilder didn't lose that fight, what boxer gets knocked down once, knocked out once but still gets up and doesn't even knock his opponent down, yet wins the fight? A draw was definitely the right call, and if there had to be a clear winner in my opinion it was Deontay Wilder simply because of the 2 Knock downs and after all he was the reigning Champion to begin with and just as many people agree with what I'm saying including the judges.
