First person is far less immersive. All the most immersive games made were third person. Gta, rdr2, witcher 3, soulsboriro, and so forth. Games like cod, borderlands, and skyrim all extremely non immersive. Get your shit together cdpr
There will be 3rd person cutscenes when it makes sense, just like in the 2018 demo. Nothing has changed in that regard. However most of them will be in 1st person, just like in the 2018 demo.
Cutscenes 1st person, gameplay 3rd person is the way to go
That's gonna suck.
I know what I like and should be empowered to make that decision.
I like the first person.
Well I'm out, see my character was the only thing keeping me interested in cyberpunk 2077, screw this game this game then
I wonder why no studio makes a true first person game where you can see your hands, chest and feet if you look down that would be cool. Personally from me I prefer third person games on account for motion sickness. Haven't been able to finish far cry new dawn, wolfenstein series, etc to name a few. Hopefully I can play the game without needing to throw up
Third person in my preference would bring more life to the character if PEOPLE! actually see the character they created. 🤷🏽♂️ or just give us the option to choose. Because some people really don’t like first person games.
a game set in one of the most incredibly fashion orientated stylish art styles ever??? and all you see are your hands. so much for a dev everyone sucks off for being "perfect"
I'm just here for the android butts and android sex.
Why is everyone so worried about the sex scenes???😂☠️
Def not buying this now that I know I can't switch perspective to see how cool my character looks.
wait... if there're no TPP cutscenes.. why bother create our own avatar.. It's like we wont get to see our own anyway..Maybe i'll bring a small mirrior with me on the go.
far punk cry
It's just basically going to be Far Cry minus the flying vehicles, boats, and refined gameplay. Far Cry 2077: Not even the best Far Cry game. This talk of "immersion" is just a turd-polishing spin on decisions which actualy stem from a desire to make the game easier to make since as noted in the video, things like facial animations for the characters now just won't be there anymore.
Im glad honestly. One of my favorite games of all time is Half Life 2, and guess what? Its all first person. Ive been looking forward to a game like this for so long, and its shaping up to be everything Ive wanted. Time to upgrade my PC to keep up with it lmao.
I think that the people whom are freaking out about this simply want to watch the female playable character's butt a whole lot.
I wish it was switchable, I struggle with fpp giving me headaches and it would be nice to see it all in tpp. Plus, what's the point of all that customization if I can't stare at my characters ass see them in cutscenes?
It makes me sad that they are not doing third person cut scenes. I think if they had a mix of both that would be the best way of doing it. I definitely don't want to play as a female character and watch a sex scene fpp style. that would be a turn off... It would be way better if you could switch first person to third person in at least the sex scenes so that if someone wants to watch fpp they can or tpp.
The game WILL have a mix of both just like in the 2018 demo. The developers clarified this months ago. It's just that most of the cutscenes will be in 1st person, like when you are talking to someone or otherwise interacting with the game world.
This game will be overhyped I feel like now.
Lmao so you can create your own character but you won't be able to see what he/she looks like now? This game is a pass for me. Might as well play call of duty or halo.
Can't wait to smash Keanu Reeves in 4k
If I'm playing a game like that I'm not walking around looking for mirrors just to see my character I'm conflicted on if I'll get this
So is the game play third person
Let the developers make the game, I mean that’s what they get paid for, then once released let them take fan base feed back and improve, I’m super hyped for this game.
This was a bad idea, the more they change/remove stuff from the game the more I'm losing interest.
CD project red is ether pandering to SJWS or fucking lazy that they don't fell like finishing the tpp cut scene. There are now 2 resons not to get the game.
I was immersed with Witcher 3 and Skyrim. They both had 3rd person.
So... sex scenes are now pov.... alright :)
Unless it's entirely in VR, first-person isn't going to make it any more or less immersive. Plus, shouldn't there be an option to switch between first and third person modes??? Especially when all of the marketing material is in third person anyway? I just don't know why they would take away that option.
Being an avid fan of CDPR after W3...I would like to say whatever they have decided has a high likelihood of being fairly acceptable...however giving players the opportunity to choose would be the best route to take...I mean I thoroughly enjoyed many fpp games, but I also want to see my character ESPECIALLY if customization was possible. For that reason I typically choose a female character as I have no interest in looking at a guys ass the entire time I'm playing a game in which I had a choice of being Male or Female (ie Conan Exiles!). That being said the whole sex scene thing may get pretty friggin awkward for some...
Honestly, I don’t know why video games even go the route of 1st person.. I live my everyday in the 1st person.. Games should always be in the 3rd person.. I want to see my character (moves, clothing, etc) and how they look against the backdrop of the world they are in.. Unless it’s VR, it doesn’t make sense to make 1st person games..
Cyberpunk is a rpg game. Character customisation will reflect in different stats, also with possible different interactions from npcs and environment. I don't need sex scenes in games, specially no need to be able to watch it from every possible angle, I think we have enough access to huge variety of porn already. And focus on the looks current days make me sick. CPR so far is the best game developer, and even that I prefer tpp games they have my full trust, that what they will release will be awesome. Skyrim have tpp option and I prefer to play fpp, not to mention game popularity.
Me: Makes the goofiest ugliest dumbest looking character cause you'll barely even get to see e'm anyway
fkkk nooooo more 3rd person view?/ommggg screw dat!
since this is what they are going with. anyone know what other games the people they hired for the fps parts of the game have worked on. like halo or far cry, battlefield, call of duty?
I'd say best case scenario now is they release 3rd person gameplay through a dlc down the line...I can wait...lots of other great games I can play until then
there's literally so little controversy about this hyped game that 3rd person cinis are news lol? ill take it
Awesome another Falcon vid!!!!!!!
3rd person needs to have a good running/jumping animation or it's hard to play. First person needs to be at the right height/eye level or it looks weird. It also needs to have extremities in view and move properly. I can play both just fine but I prefer 3rd person because then I can look at the character in the game/story that doesn't necessarily have to be me.
Disappointed in you, gameranx. Spreading false information like this.
dev said still will see character in some cutscenes, Im certain we will keep the elevator scene and others like it, but when mission recquire us to make choices itll be 1st person which im cool with
This is immersion. I'm sure, nontheless, Cyberpunk 2077 will be fucking awesome. Also: will I able to have a mirror- ceiling in my flat, so I can see myself enjoying the game?
What's so immersive about looking through (the eyes of someone on) a screen that is at least 2 feet away from my own eyes?
Meh, I've seen enough shenanigans about this game to know better than to preorder at this point.
Lmao love how you are allowed to blow people's heads off left and no one really cares, but the second sex is mentioned in vg everyone loses their shit.
I don’t understand why this is a conversation. Am I missing something?
I think people are forgetting it’s an FPS game. This isn’t like witcher 3 where you constantly see your character. I’m sure you will be able to see your characters customizations throughout the game, but I mean how many times do you want to see your character ? It’s an FPS game. I like it because it makes it more real, you can see yourself in mirrors just like real life. When you walk into a room in real life do you exit your body and look at yourself ? I think it makes it more realistic.
Don't forget Nvidia Ansel.
sorry it will not be huge since there is no 3rd person ... lots of third person lovers won't buy it
Why are people so in love with third person? I don’t get it. They should remove third person completely even on the vehicles.
It all depends on preference...some like it..some don't..they can make their game anyway they want but if I was in charge I'd at least make it an option to switch back and forth...giving people an option doesn't hurt anyone and makes the game more accessible...plus alot of people physically cant play in fpp because they get motion sickness, epileptic, seizures etc etc
I just want to play this already
Cyberpunk is basically a futuristic Skyrim
Kudos to cdpr for being open with feedback
cutin g 3rd person is probably total focus on VR and this look look like perfect for playing in VR ... btw in real life you need to use mirror or mobile or anything with reflection let this be a " real" game
Stop projecting onto the game. It’s an FPP game with First person cutscenes. Big whoop. The world, systems and mechanics are what make this game interesting. Not the camera
imo clothing choice will definitely matter,if they implement special characteristics for each piece of clothing & accessories. example would be that dark clothing improves your stealth statistics & a special pair of shoes helps you to jump higher or sneak faster. while shiny jewelry wilk raise reputation and hinder your stealth aspect when worn.
