  • Prof Robert E Kelly has returned to BBC News to talk about his unexpected viral fame last week, when his children crashed his live TV interview to the amusement of millions of people who later watched the clip. Prof Kelly, an expert on South Korea, was joined in the follow-up video with his wife, Jung-a Kim and children Marion and James.
He confirmed to the BBC's James Menendez that he was, despite online speculation, wearing trousers during the interview.

We want more things like this to happen. It makes us more human and less robots. The children's entrance is VERY COOL. Blessed Family.

He seems like a caring dad and loving husband. He never interrupted his wife or spoke for her. And the kids are adorable!

The best thing was the son’s comic timing. The way he rolled in after his sister will always make me laugh. 🤣

The way he looks at his wife and kids is adorable, it says how much he loves his family, it's very tough to be a good homemaker, As said she deserves medal, how patient they both are to kids, such a cute family, be safe and happy, and to all the beautiful homemakers ❤️❤️

What a sweet family. I feel badly that this adorable situation caused them discomfort and stress.

Poor professor, he seems like a shy and somewhat uptight person. He seems rather embarrassed by it all. His wife seems like a nice and friendly lady.

I love how the eldest child came dance-marching in with such joy and then the little came in behind her, just rolling in the baby walker 😂❤️

It's great that he said ' We want to make the children feel that their parents are accessible''. That is so important when the kids have a glimpse of what their parents do at work. It's a chance for them to know their parents in a different social context; and if their dad or mum are doing something really cool or helpful to the community, that could inspire them to be a better person too.

This is still one of the funniest (and my favorite) TV moments of all time - just the way that girl came marching in, heralding all the chaos that was soon to follow....it was just perfect in every way

I love how he constantly looks to her to answer the question instead of feeling the need to answer the questions themselves or feeling the need to finish her sentences just because he's the native English speaker. So much respect there ❤️

The mom keeps looking at the guy because of her english I am pretty sure. He is not abusive. They are a cute family and I am pretty sure that Korean was her first language so she keeps looking for reassurance to see if her english is correct.

So happy to see a follow-up interview with this lovely family. The original clip was absolutely hilarious. I love how dad was trying to push daughter away gently as though she could be hidden. Daughter swaggers in. Baby rolls in and mum slides in....comedy....🤣😂🤣😂❤

Their family is so lovely. The mother is so beautiful. And the two kids are so cute (and very energetic too)! I still watch their video sometimes and it makes me smile each time.

I honestly found it cute how first the girl came in dancingly walking to her dad, and seconds later her brother arrives barely controlling the stroller. Whenever kids try to understand how those strollers work is so cute.

I don't get why people keep on saying that he looks abusive. their daughter wouldn't have come in on the home office with so much confidence if he was as controlling as you claim to be and she obviously prefers to speak in korean so you could tell that korean is the first language at home. Even though she speaks great english, the wife wasn't comfortable speaking in english so she keeps on looking at her husband for reassurance. if you've equated the horrid look on her face on the first video for fear of taking a beating from her husband, then you've clearly haven't had an embarrassing child blunder experience in your life.
