I Spent a Week Making an AI's Video Game Idea

  • Published on Aug 29, 2021
  • I've recently been on a streak of unfinished projects, so I decided to focus one week on actually completing something -- anything! I thought it would be fun to make a small game, and so I asked an AI for some ideas...

Getting a lot of comments that the dust should have accumulated more in the corners, not the middle of the room... Whoops, this mistake will haunt me for sure!

For the story, you could start with Super Chore Man have just having had an arguement with his girlfirend who berates him for never cleaning up or doing any chores. He sees the place needs vacuumed so he decides to vaccum before she gets back. once you win, she'll see that the house is a a wreck because he doesn't know his own strength. The ghosts could be from a baddy called super mess maker pr something like that.

Okay but I would actually buy this game for like $10 with all 3 levels plus whatever other levels but like $20 for a timer on each level and a wife who's either disappointed or way too happy for what you actually did depending on your progress by the end of the timer and then it all comes together to effect the quality of his anniversary or whatever idk but this game actually has some potential and I'm here for it.

@Spookyhoobster Well, most of it is actually not too complicated. It does, however, if you run into stochastic partial differential equations, navir-stokes etc...

I think if the particles are unrealistically big (relative to their spacing) and elastic (not sticky), randomly dropping such particles will tend to land to open areas. Neither of those characteristics are true of real dust.

Not to mention arbitrary stuff like: We can’t replicate our own consciousness as we still don’t know how it fully works or is developed or what makes something sentient without coming at a cloudy answers. Cost and power to allow for a conscious AI and determining how to replicate choice based actions and neural nets to perform effectively because right now I don’t think AI can define what is right and wrong by itself, at least not without a goal and a set destination

@Sid They are a way to describe position and orientation in a single term and don't have limitations like gimbal lock.
Or rather they are the only option to correctly represent that without any constraints that may result in information loss, after all that is their intended purpose when ℍamilton popularized them.

However they function very differently compared to what we are experiencing in our normal life.
We are used to have a place to be and a direction to look in.
A quaternion would be plarection and that is why they are so difficult to wrap your head around since you need to completely disassemble the way of how you orientate you yourself in a space.

Conversely - we can all feel shittier about ourselves, because if HE finds them confusing, what hope do we mere peasants ever have to comprehend them? 😭

I absolutely love that “cleaning” the apartment involves making everything else but the dust a complete wreck, surely creating even more dust in the process as bits of his furniture are destroyed.

Saitama, but his power is contained by household tools and his intense need to save money by not wrecking his furniture lol. Real missed opportunity to make fixing the furniture part of his chores around the house, have you go at it operation style with everything being overly responsive to placement or something. I understand wanting to leave the apartment after you've wrecked it cuz of those dratted ghosts again though.

I've been binging your videos lately and found them both inspirational and entertaining! You should make idle games that are fun to watch as background (like superchoreman getting totally trashed by the ghosts after he died hahahaha) while doing block chain distributed computing and sell the computing power of your game's network... You have way better humor than what's currently available out there.
