4 years at least to build towards a world cup its not an easy thing to build with less than that unless your are looking at the next world cup to be honest so he left at the right time in fairness to their next appointed coach

Glad to see the back of him how any coach at that level has the arogance to focus purely on their own game without doing any homework on the opposition's tactics, strengths and weaknesses isn't worthy of the position. Australia were a mistake riddled side during the wc making basic schoolboy errors even by senior players. The game against England was painful clearly we have some talented players, had they been better prepared they may have gone further.

I agree Cheikas arrogance and his team selection was his downfall. Micheal O' Cornor did not stand up to Cheika team selection and the new director of rugby allowed it although it is not his fault he only being there for six months now he has a chance to make change. R Castle is Administration and knows nothing of rugby so cant really blame her either.

All Black next . A completely different opponent . I thought Wallabies probably would have won and felt things were not good in the Australia camp . Since 2003 we haven't done so well . Great competition so far . Love to Japan and all the other nations making a great show . Japan are amazing .

The Wallabies have a couple Rugby League players in their squad that couldn't even make the starting side at their former Nrl Teams. All the best athletes in Australia play League and Not Rugby Union, As most Aussies prefer league as it's a working class game

People pile into Cheika, but who really wants to coach Australia? Lets be honest, union has struggled there since the end of the Gregan/Larkham era. Chieka got the Tahs to the title in 2014, made the world cup final in 2015 and lost his top back line strike weapon this year. A little known fact is that the new CEO of Australian rugby did not leave her last assignment in good shape either (Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs, Rugby League). Honestly, 5 years coaching the Wallabies deserves credit in itself. Extremely difficult job, which most people would have quit. I'm a Kiwi and have always been surprised by the way the media attacks this guy.

The Wallabies and the AB are the only teams in the world who made the wc finals 4 times according to the history. The different is, the AB won 3 out of 4 and the Wallabies only manages to win 2 times out of 4. In that regards, Wallabies still the best team but its too much politics. The current ARU board should resign....to much bullshits

  • M.T.G

I spoke with 'Two Dads' AAC and he was saying to our group that Cheika had lost the Locker room back in 2018, many players thought he was gone 12 months ago but he hung on to the 1/4s. If they had of got rid of him 12 months ago Australia would be through to the Semis one imagines...
