I was happy with this film because I just read a comic called Caliban which had some similar space horror things, except there wasn't any huge plot holes like this film

I recall hearing through the grapevine that the original foundation for this was a movie adaptation of Space Station 13, the video game. Is there any truth to that??

The movie is shit... but as far as the release goes, same with 10 cloverfield lane, there's like these massive AR games where they hide clue to the stories and universe on websites and stuff that people have to dig up meta data from images, and solve riddles and figure out passwords and stuff... So the whole cloverfield universe sorta exists in this obscure game on the internet and the movies are almost just pieces in that game. Watching this review and reading these comments I'm kinda surprised more people aren't aware of this. If you aren't aware of it, you should look it up, it's actually really interesting.

Didn’t like the movie. The first two were a lot better; I would have preferred a sequel to 10 cloverfield lane. But it was smart of them to release it right after the Super Bowl and have them play a commercial.

what would be interesting. If Gugu character would have a dead family in one dimension and she would be dead in the other dimension. And she could go back, but the twist is that they are already moved (as far as you can when your mother or wife dies) on and she would be a reset for them. I would like to see what would happen then.

I like these videos, but I don’t understand the dislike for cinemas. Are there no decent cinemas near you? I live in Nottingham, UK and we have two really good, independent cinemas. Seeing a film in the cinema is often a different experience to watching it at home.

The cloverfield paradox got me so fucking mad because the entire online ARG mystery behind the cloverfield monster was so fucking intriguing.
Involving shady the Tagruato company and the massive web of clues around it had loads of us going full Charlie "pepe silvia" on the internet.
Instead it was all "fucking wormhole space magic" wrapped up in a huge fucking rip off of Event Horizon and The Mist

Everybody is better off and can use magic, but you're not in your own world, and you're an asshole who has the most powerful clan in Ivalice and you're dragging them all back whether they like it or not.. Your cripple brother will be crippled again, the poor loser will be a poor loser instead of a prince again, and the pretty redhead who leads a clan of women will go back to dying her hair red and being an outcast. And they're gonna like it or you'll kill 'em in the Jagdlands.

I think legally, under monopoly mandates, Disney CAN'T own theaters. It has to do with producers not being allowed to also run distribution or something along those lines (like how Netflix wouldn't be allowed to own their own internet service to sell their video service.)

I don't think it is fair to judge Netflix by two movies that weren't made for Netflix as you guys pointed out. They were movies made presumably for theaters and when they test screened and saw the projection to fail in theaters they went straight to Netflix which proved to be a good move financially. Netflix letting bad movies on their service doesn't mean that the ones they create will be bad.
I don't really care about Netflix, it just seems like a logical fallacy you guys are making. I assume that Netflix will likely be the straight to video dumping grounds. It also has potential as you guys have previously stated, to let more original ideas get made into movies. Overall I think it couldn't hurt the movie industry and could only help, even if it's minuscule in it's benefit.
