This video came up in my recommendations (BMW M5 refueling during drifting). If they can do it while drifting, then surely it would be a piece of cake to do on a freeway...even if you had to slow down significantly.

Pretty sure that this will no longer worker till law enforcements will kick in.
In Germany racing against time will end in jail if you get in a car accident or are a danger for the public ...

If you take part in a race inside a city and you get involved in a car accident with a dead you will be convicted as murder.
    Simple, isn't it ?
Car is always away and of cause your fortune too cause jail is one part of the fine but a lot of other fees and cost will follow.
Laws here have changed. Even the use of police detection devices ends in fines and so on ... and if you are a participant in a race through europe police will confiscate cars and private properties in case you made that event happen ...

Pretty interesting that you end for everything in jail but racing on public streets is not prosecuted.
Do this here in Germany and make it public you would never come again and the Suisse Police will instantly start to sell your car ...and if you try to make money out of a crime then the next escalation kicks in.

I did a Portland Oregon to jersey city New Jersey in 06 with my brother in law in a new f150 with a v6....we did it in 45 hours. He drove for 3 hours and I banned him from driving with me again after he almost hit a few semi trucks. When I finally pulled over, I realized how dizzy and tied I was. Almost left like I was drunk trying to stand.

I bragged about that for years. Then heard about cannon ball run times and was humbled 😂
I became a long haul truck driver now , so I do this route all the time. Or nw to se, Seattle to Miami and other runs like that.
I can only imagine how fast these dudes drive to get those times.

And I thought 73 in my Outback was rocking. J/K. I am proud that we still have car guys with enough balls to keep it going. The older I get the more it makes sense to use a car like this. Maybe a Chevy SS for the next one. Everyone will get out of the way, it looks like a old police car. Maybe?

    Congratulations Guys.
on a sidenode. Im from germany and sometimes i think about a cannonball run.
BUT its really unrealistic to do it in the states for me. And in Europe with all those Borders and extremely different laws... nope.
Where my mind games always stay for a while is the choice of a car.
If you would have as much german cars there like we have here i might tend to an Audi A4 or A6 Avant. Maybe an RS.
simply because they don´t stick out here. Quattro makes for a smoth ride and more balanced tire wear. You get them with a big primary tank. And maybe because i´m familiar with them.
Mercedes is more in your face here. there are less cars looking just like it or close enough.
