CinemaWins I would say a win off for the fact that nuclear weapons don’t have self destructs/ deactivates - it’s mainly so that countries don’t fire them and then disarm them as a show of force

Giving credit to "scores" is ridiculous to me. For the hearing impaired or people not moved by orchestral music, it's a non-existent part of the film. The plot has holes, the script is boring, the action is predictable and gratuitous...but hey, that score pulls you in and rubs your balls. smh
And for the blind it's the best part of the movie. Weird take. Also, welcome to Mission Impossible, I guess?
Before keanu reeves, there's tom cruise. Whatever he did, people will love him. Even the shittiest movie he ever star,like the mummy,when he is in a scene,i smile. He's away from a scene, i vomit. Not that Ghost protocol is bad,this is a very good movie
This film was pretty good, but coming off of 3 it just didn't live up to what I wanted. The cold open was damn good and I liked how we got a more stoic Hunt, but the humor was a bit much for me.

The banter between Brandt and Benji about the anti-grav device ("It's science.") and Hunt's team lacking the infrastructure of M:I 3 are my favorite parts of Ghost Protocol.

I don't care what Tom haters say, he is so good at what he does. Once he retires, I would never be able to watch a Mission Impossible rebooted with another actor. Knowing what Tom goes through for these films, his stunts, everything - this is really his series, his playground even. I could never take an MI movie serious with a different lead actor that uses stunt doubles, it would just never be as good.
I don't care about Tom's real life persona, his movies are almost always great. You can bet I will be there watching Top Gun 2 as well.

Wow... I've only watched the film once and this video like three times, but I'm just now realizing all the callbacks from and to the first one.
There was something cool about everything going wrong in the movie. Didn’t the telephone self-destruct need a tap from Tom to get it to work? The only thing that would have been topped that was if the antiquated gun powder fuse at the beginning fizzled out.

My favorite opening of an MI film. Also, having Simon Pegg and Jeremy Renner was something that made me enjoy the franchise for the first time since the first one
And about the score.... You can't go wrong with Giacchinno (apologies if I've spelt that wrong). And he does have a couple of things that he likes to repeat, but compared to some other composers (Williams, Zimmer, Horner - and don't get me wrong, they're some of my favorites as well, but they plagiarize themselves/their motifs more than most)

I think the only real misstep in the mission impossible franchise was the second one. It had none of what made the franchise so great such as the spy element and was needlessly romanticised
