  • Lenovo’s new Smart Clock is mostly designed to tell you the time and get you up in the morning, but it also does a whole lot of other things, thanks to Google Assistant. The company’s Smart Tabs, on the other hand, mixes Amazon’s Alexa with an 10-inch Android tablet that docks into a smart speaker. That way, it transforms from a standard tablet into basically an Echo Show.

Had that tablet supported a stylus, and had google assistant instead of Alexa, it would PROBABLY have been extremely hard to pick over other android tablets.

@Samrat Babu Koirala Those that act like your finger. Essentially not the kind that are meant for design work

@Don Shue What does passive stylus mean?

It does support passive styluses so that's still something that definitely a plus for me!

Google assistant tablet would be better than the clock.. The tablet has more uses than the clock and the camera on it can have a physical shutter just like the new laptops...so i hope lenovo makes a google assistant version of the tablet along with a camera shutter and the dock...

Please stop making videos with Google/Alexa/Siri/etc triggers in them. You shut off every light in my house, turned off the TV I was watching on, and activated my alarm for tomorrow. Stop this. It's ridiculous.

Why in the hell is it 2019 and you're still making the mistake of saying "hello Google" in your damn videos?! Come on Verge I'd expect this level of tech etiquette out of someone's grandma, not a tech company.

  • Rui Donizete

Basically a Google Echo Spot, I do think the rectangular screen is more useful than a round one. They should put a battery in it so you can use it unplugged for a few hours.

What is better, google assistant or alexa?

    • Don Shue
      Don Shue 10 months ago

@Gonzalo Valdes When the Lenovo Smart Tab is in android tablet mode (aka not docked), it supports all the usual android languages. When docked and in Show mode, it'll support English, German, French and Japanese for now.

    • Gonzalo Valdes
      Gonzalo Valdes 10 months ago

@The Real Potoroo what languages do they support?

    • The Real Potoroo
The Real Potoroo 10 months ago

Define better. Echo connects to more devices out of the box but Google Assistant is the smartest. Google are best at AI, not necessarily other things.
