Uruguay's President Jose Mujica says he has been offered $1m for his vintage Volkswagen Beetle. Mr Mujica, once dubbed "the poorest president in the world" because of his modest lifestyle, said the offer had come from an Arab sheikh. Ben Bland reports.

He’s richest by heart. He donated all his money to charity.

I like to think that having such a humble man at the top is the reason why Uruguay is the most democratic, safe and happy country in South America
They called him “poorest” because they don’t understand the term Rich .
Respect to this man, he stays true to his humble background even after he became the leader of a nation. That cannot be said for any other world leader. Keep the Beetle!
