  • Homelessness among students is up nearly 70 percent in the last decade. A public school called the Monarch School in San Diego is specifically designed to serve and educate homeless children. Jeanie Ahn, a senior producer and reporter for Yahoo! Finance, joined CBSN to talk about the homeless crisis and how this school helps.

    Homeless children is a direct result of irresponsible adult who have children without having the financial resources to pay for them.

      San Diego is not a sanctuary city. It is run by Republicans and they do all they can to assist ICE.
      Cant say the same for the rest of California though...

    By homeless, I hope you don't mean the 26 million illegals who flooded our country. It is time to take care of our citizens, who were made homeless because these people took their jobs, or HUD housing. Without them, prices would be more affordable for the people born here, and wages would be higher.

      San Diego is a Republican city. They are also not a sanctuary city. They may be close to the border but they dont support the illegal immigration at all. Everything north of San Diego is illegal alien country now.
