If you enjoyed this Minecraft video about The Controversial History of 2b2t's Queue System I would appreciate if you would consider hitting that like and subscribe button!.
2b2t is currently awaiting the 1.18/1.19 update. Very exciting times! Gaming
Maybe one day the server can hold 1,000 players so we won't even need a queue anymore! Oh wait... then it won't make money.
🤣
@Clipyy that would be p2w tho and p2w=cringe
I just play on 2b2t test
Probably the queue server are better than 2b2t's xD
Yooooooooooo it’s salC1! Wassup
I love how the 2b2t queue is a reference to the WoW queue, makes it feel like a meme almost
2b2t runs Minecraft 1.12, not 1.18 it would have to update.
@MysteriusBhoice people would back door
@MysteriusBhoice
I think that Hausemaster was working on something kind of like that.
But have you seen the FFXIV queue?
@MysteriusBhoice they have done before I don't think it worked. Not sure why though
im still salty that I didn't join in like 2015 or so to get priority que, it was mentioned in some book at my middle school's scholastic fair and I was like "dude I'm gonna join this when I get home" and immediently forgot about it until the camping rusher uploaded a video like a year later
Rip bro. I think you mean veteran queue. Veteran queue is gone now anyway, so don’t feel bad about it.
you havr a scary profile pic 😱
i had the exact same experience as you wtf
@SmokeNotFire oh interesting, thanks for sharing
@SmokeNotFire thanks hero
I can't begin to imagine the chaos that will follow a modern update. It's going to be nuts.
@DaiFaiv withers will be hell they can work to protect your base though now.
@Retnuh he got lucky and now probably lives off what he makes on the server I'd bet.
Your position in queue: 3,258
Your position in priority: 456
Your position in ultra priority: 100$ per week: 21
@Retnuh he doesn’t.
Exacly, EVERY spawn obsidian logo will become griefable using withers. There will also be a new Lavacasts layer at spawn over the obsidian roof. Insane shit.
Imagine a massive strong muscular guy comes over to beat you up, but instead starts talking about Minecraft 2b2t lore
@Moatija bro I think I need mental help I’m laughing like a maniac this is hilarious
4 hours, that's insultingly low, 24 hours is the true sigma grindset
Playing minecraft at least 4 hours a day is part of his sigma grindset
@Mike Snapper Imagine a horror game based on that, it would be amazing
Imagine going down a dark allyway and suddenly from the shadows you hear someone whisper "2...b...2....t... the older anarchy server on minecraft" and then you know your days are numbered
I remember logging back in after a few years and being surprised to see a queue!
@「Kumagawa」 😭
Yo
Hello
You fell off man
u fell off
Imagine waiting hours just to be killed by a hacker in a wasteland of lava, withers and cobblestone
@František Vrána You can actually sometimes manage to skip the queue at a restart if you spam the connect button as fast and as many times as possible at a restart. When the server is filled with players again, if you are fast enough you can sometimes get in before it's full without queue.
Doesn't work everytime though.
@CLMRSMN why got banned lol
@WOW - ROBLOX you can't get banned for what you do in game (like cheating). But you can be banned for screwing the server (or integrity of the server) over. That doesn't make it less anarchy-like
@Rose Warrior Why would it mean that you can lock down the server
Haus needs to get in contact with a Civil Engineer. The Disney queue system would probably work great for 2b2t.
@Link149 basically a queue
Sounds like a queue is no longer enough for 2b2t. They should look into getting a load balancer instead, that would redirect you to one of many different smaller servers. But then each server would have to have its own separate map.
I think you mean Industrial Engineer. Civils don't do that sort of thing.
Also "What do you know about lines?"
Just don't show the players how long the queue really is. Disney did that by hiding the lines in corridors and endless tunnels, never being able to see the line in full view.
@Sumper Kenny Even without a fixed time frame, It would be indeed super useful if you could just queue up for the day, disconnect and quit the game and then get notified through whatever means when it's your turn to join. But knowing 2b2t (and the prior existence of bots that could indeed hold your queue position), that would be another opportunity to cheat the system.
Gotta love the feeling when u want to play something log on and see a multi hour queue wait timer
@Hamza Yeter so you pretty much never play?
I wait until the americans are asleep or until the europeans are
Do something else while it loads
escape from tarkov
The expected wait time right now is 25.5 hours lol
I remember getting up, putting my computer in the 2b2t queue, going to high school, coming home, doing homework, and then seeing if I had missed my opportunity to play on the server or if I still had to wait.
I think no one can replace fit in explaining and showing us the “oldest anarchy server” on TheXvid!!!
It’s fascinating how almost everything about 2b2t has a deep backstory, Even the queue
no
One day, fit would upload a video, about a lone dirt block, in relatively untouched terrain, thats oddly placed, and talked for about 8 minutes about its long history in 2b2t, it was once the starter base of the notorious griefer, and fit talked about it wih excruciating detail from accounts of veterans, and it was uploaded on april 1st
Sus
I would love to see a queue exploit of some kind to skip the queue and joining immediately to 2bt2 server. Maybe one day
And you are the exact type of person to complain if the server crashed or died because of that.
@Tuck2016 there might be but if there is it's probs being kept down low to keep it from getting noticed and patched
@CageyBee if they all joined at once, they would all be placed at the end of the queue. You could use this to get multiple accounts to join after each other, but all would have to wait.
if you had a bot which had access to several hundred accounts at once, and got them all to try and join at once, one of them is bound to get near the front.
@Owen Lewis true
For some reason, the queueing system sounds like what amusement parks would do. I think Defunctland did a video about quickpass and it reminded me about this
Yeaah!! Dude defunctland's fastpass video is so cool
that video hurts my head
Honestly, I was thinking the same thing.
“Part Seven: CLASS WARFARE” would probably be a bit more literal in 2b2t’s case, tho.
2b's Queue is the reason I can't join to even TRY IT!
@NopWORKS True
@KeinNiemand i dont rlly play anachry but Ig
well just start the queue in the morning and if your lucky you will be in in the evening or maye run it overnight.
@ShadowD1mond oo I see
@Layla Tsueen like 18 hours
I think no one can replace fit in explaining and showing us the “oldest anarchy server” on TheXvid!!!
@Tyler Campbell good, thank you
@DarkShadow Games hi how are you
Hello
@Pat I’ll definitely check it out
Salc1 has a decent channel too
2b2t really is the most difficult Minecraft server to play on, huh. A server so brutal that you can’t even log into it is almost poetic.
Hause should try running the Overworld, Nether, and End on separate machines and bungee them as a way to increase capacity, such as 250 per dimension, with a hard limit of 600 to help avoid Nether or End trapping. It might take some complex programming, but I think it can be done.
Idk man that's a good idea but you'd be afraid of entering the nether or the end if the overworld server is full. You could nip in for some blaze powder and then be stuck for hours standing in your nether portal until someone logs out in the overworld
@tom vlogs Now this is the fun part LOL. This is where you have a chance to be introduced to the new world of Nether or End trapping, but this is also why you would need to have a hard cap for all server machines combined to prevent it the best you can. If the player count across all three dimensions were to hit the hard maximum and you were joining the server, then you get queued. Your position in queue may also be partially determined by both if you played on the server before and WHERE you logged off.
Yeah but most players will still go to the overworld, and what if the overworld server is full but someone from the nether wants to go trough the portal back?
Sending players between servers and dimensions is actually simple.
Worser is syncing player's data (inventory, echest, spawnpoint...).
Waiting 10-20 hours to play on the oldest anarchy server in Minecraft. Absolutely worth the wait.
@GoblinDave probably won't happen tho
@SuperCool_Saiyan The fun thing about the server is that at any time someone can come and grief the shit out of your base, and exploring around finding old houses and bases is really fun
Debatable
Ayeeeeeeeee I’m here to support
Lol imagine after waiting 12 hrs and another hour or two trying to leave spawn you end up getting book banned by someone 😂😭
"The longest a system exists, the more likely it is that people will take advantage of it." - A wise 2b2t player

I wonder what technical solutions can be implemented to avoid the insane queue times when the server is booming in popularity.
I can only think of three ways: the obvious one - upgrade server capacity, the controversial one - different tiers of priority queue and the “I don’t know if this’ll even work” one - dividing the server capacity into different parts with each having a separate queue (when you’d join you’ll be assigned to a random one).
Fit said hause was planning 1.18 though so perhaps
The 2b2t queue system seems like a necessary evil because the server wouldn’t survive without money
Imagine if someone found an exploit that could remove the queue for them so they can join anytime and not get stuck in queue. That would ruin the server
*VERY VERY* secret
They'll probably keep it secret, dupes methods are VERY well hidden in that server.
I’m sure someone has
I've gone through alot of phases with minecraft , wether it be skyblock grind, solo survival , hardcore, server or modded , along the way I have always been fascinated by 2b , alot of crazy chaos , just one extreme to another , it's amazing ! Thanks for bringing the content dude ! Legend
You play osu now?
I remember playing in like mid 2017 on 2b for like a few minutes before getting spawntrapped and I left, due to the queue I didn't join since lol.... i don't want to wait 10 hours to play on a server thats so hostile
To this day, if I feel like joining 2b2t I'm still using a little Python script that parses the Minecraft log file every few seconds, extrapolates the remaining queue time and uploads it to a web server so I can check from my phone. Obviously it's always way off since it grinds to a halt once you get down to ~120ish where you start competing with the priority queue.
With the queue, what they should do is make two separate lines, regular line, and prio queue, this would make it that if you were in a decent position in reg queue you wouldn't be put to a worse position by someone with prio, ive seen a queue with separate lines like this that worked well when Skeppy did events.
Indeed such separate queue system does exist
@Jisas Red123 was just using Skeppy's server as an example, dont hurt yourself over the word Skeppy.
@Jisas Red123 he does have a point though
Did you just mentioned Skeppy on a 2b2t video? How dare you
To think that Rusher actually helped with a major problem on the server and offered a solution while also watching and making the server crumble in chaos between his community and the 2b2t community is pretty crazy. But hey, he actually pretty much respected the community and pretty much had many of the community pretty entertained on trying to contain the new players on server.
I was literally just working on a kingdom build in my creative world and found out that the entire structure was seven blocks off from being a perfect square like it was supposed to be, but because the entire foundation was already late, I have to redo hours worth of work.
Fortunately, I can do so while watching a fimc video
And I thought raising a partially-sunken ship 4 blocks up in survival was hard.
Use world edit. It helps you
Worldedit?
If mojang overhaul the way servers work, perhaps the queue could be cut down significantly provided the server is optimised enough.
They could make a lot of progress by simply using multiple threads / cores on the server's end, and maybe even write the new server software in a more optimized language like C++, though, that will break mod compatibility so I'm not sure that will happen.
they would literally have to rewrite the game to make servers any better. its so atrocious on the newer versions with more than even 10 players.
Yesterday I tried getting into 2b2t the first time, had queue 300, it got all the way down to 20 after 6 ish hours, and then guess what, server restart, and I logged back in to find myself in queue position 600
@GhostymyToasty Yup.
It be like that sometimes
Welcome to why 2b2t players dislike Fit lol.
He's entertaining don't get me wrong, but the sheer damage his exposure causes 2b2t playerbase is immeasurable.
@RAWBeats nah it's the universe telling them to not play
seems like its working like intended
go pay money
Finding a way to efficiently and safely multi-thread Minecraft, at least on multiplayer, may greatly expand the server’s capacity.
what are the chances that i saw this while i was in a queue for 3 hours and then got kicked and immediately after i found this video. Fit is a force of nature.
This has the same vibe as watching the history of Disney's fast pass system and how it became so broken.
Fit! I just watched SalC1's video on Alpha slabs and was wondering how much history is tied to these slabs in the 2b2t community, specially when rare items like 32k weapons and bed rock blocks are hard to come by
When I recognized Torogadude from the queue priority controversy, I realized how terminally online I was. I feel like an ancient wise wizard, having watched all this history go down since 2016.
Wait hold on, someone once got plucked out of the queue? Can't just leave us hanging. Why did it happen? Was it because of something they did? If so, what was the act was so egregious even by the standards of 2B2T that they were manually removed?
I think the veteran queue should have had something to do with how long the player has been on the server, like if they have played on it for 50 hours they get into veteran queue
i don’t think they were logging something like that, but it should be implemented in the future
This man single-handedly made my ADHD ass more interested in the history of a block game than regular history
imagine having a server that has so many people wanting to join it breaks the queue system. Mister Housemaster, respect.
At this point Hause probably needs to rent an entire Google data center just to keep the damn thing running.
@VoluminousButterfly I deleted them all 3 years ago because they were just bad
what happened to your vids :( i loved ur gd vids :(. G
The queue system is the first challenge you face to show you how insane the server itself is
I haven't joined this server once but i love watching videos related to this lmao.
The servers limitations can also be seen technically. I wonder how much more performance 2b2t could get if its’ back end was written in Go or Rust instead of some old Java. Imagine if suddenly twice the player count is supported.
The multiplayer framework is seperate from the java client, and java isnt even a slow or bad language in terms of speed. Changing what language its written in wouldnt really make it faster
Mc servers can only run off of Java
I can't remember when but a few years ago there was a period that there sometimes was nobody in the queue. Granted I live in Australia so the rest of the world was asleep, but it was a good month of joining without waiting lol
I once sat through it. Spent almost all day in it. I was sick of watching the void
I decided to push my poor laptop to the limit and play bedrock edition with my friend while i waited.
poor laptop, you should thank it.
That queue is the exact reason why I've never played on 2b2t. There's plenty of other servers and games out there with no wait time.
Honestly the stories I've been told about the 2b2t queue are a main reason I haven't even attempted to join yet.
I’ve tried joining at 0400 and 0600 am EST and still queue is literally 300 people. Can’t even join.
I have a life I don’t have time to “pre join” 4-8 hours in advance lmao
that moment when you wait 14 hours to get into the server only for the server to restart
"The longest a system exists, the more likely it is that people will take advantage of it." - A wise 2b2t player
Me - Never playing a single second of Minecraft in my life…..
Also Me - “These videos have captivated and interested me vastly about an old Anarchy server in Minecraft” 🤣
🍿 🎥
U know it's a good day when fit uploads.
Yep
Ur right ;)
Sometimes after watching these videos i want to try to join the server but i cant because of the queue
Fun fact: these videos makes our days better
fitmc always makes minecraft drama sound more serious than my entire life
I haven't joined this server once but i love watching videos related to this lmao!
Back sometime in 2020 or maybe early 2021 I got home got on minecraft and saw the wait line. It was like 6 hours so I left it running. After a few hours there was like 100 people left in front of me so I waited another hour and got in. I then proceeded to die a few times while avoiding nether portals because I was afraid of traps. I walked like 5000 blocks away from spawn and then died of fall damage. I got off then. That was my experience with the server and I haven't played it since.
How about implement some sort of smart queue system? If 2b2t is getting more attention than usual then server automatically increases in size, if less then decreases.
Couldn't they added a tracker to how long you've played on the server and made that the requirement for the vet queue? Something like 100 hours on the server got you access to vet queue instead of the join date.
They could have 4 different levels of queue that progress at different speeds.
Tier 4 - Free
Tier 3 - $5 a Month
Tier 2 - $20 a Month
Tier 1 - $100 a Month
Then the Queue world work by letting one person in per Tier in at a time, cycling through the 4 tiers. And of course skipping a tier Q if it's empty.
I think it would a good idea to have the server split in some way so that so many people can't join because waiting 4 hours every day sucks and they could make a system to make that work
Binge watching these 2b2t vids while I'm stuck in the hospital for asthma complications. Thanks for the entertainment Fit!
Loved it the video was well put together :)
HAUSEMASTER, The one person on 2B2T that will most likely always be there as the owner and admin of the 2B2T
Fit never fails to drop a legendary video
Last time I played I got to first in the queue and the server proceeded to crash :( I thought it was my pc failing to enter the server so by the time I realised that it was a crash and had re-joined the queue, I was 150th place. Started originally at 520th. L :(
I haven't joined this server once but i love watching videos related to this lmao.
same lol
@Starwars Experte same
Istg.
@1000 Subscr𝔦bers No Videos Challengḙ Unless you're a hacker, an extremely skilled minecrafter, or a person with ungodly amounts of patience and time,
2b2t would be like a hell for casuals but also a heaven for hackers
@Slinger yea, the history of the server is pretty interesting but at the end of the day it's really just a laggy survival server with hacks
Big fan of you Fit, I have been watching your vids since 2018 and I loved every single of it and liked it
Really makes me question how something like Hypixel manages to not require a queue.
Just a classic definition of 'why we can't have nice things' with that veteran queue lol
1:01 I like how Fit’s number is “2621” which kind of looks like “2B2T” if you squint.
2827
True, but 2627 would probably be more fitting
9:53
I can see griefing players. But trying to make the actual server unplayable seems kind of stupid and I don't get how someone could get mad about that change
It’s a great day when fit uploads
I bought raycons for myself once before, and they're pretty bad, theres like no top or mid end only low end (bass) and yes, they are advertised to have "extra bass" but it's almost nothing but bass. They work but i dont reccomend buying them. 2/10
And it’s sad because everyone is advertising them
Let's be honest, FitMC would make the best history teacher ever
Awesome video, as always!
I got in once. Waited minutes and minutes. Died a couple times for spawing on random floating broken structures and falling off, found a tree, lagged out. Never attempted to get in again.
I haven't joined this server once but i love watching videos related to this lmao!
The nostalgia. I remember TheCampingRusher and that whole thing. one of my favorite series at the time
The queue system is the only reason 2B2T can even stay open. Get investors into the server and the queue could be removed
There is a really good chance the server will be much better because it is upgrading from 10900k to 12900k which is amazing. The 12900k is much much better
You missed a huge talking point of how people would bypass the queue system using specific proxies / direct connections
I remember trying to play this once. Got up, joined the que, went to school, came back, was still in the que, never bothered trying again…
Have there been times where military strategy had been used in battles or griefing on 2b2t. like an actual plan in a battle
Props to the everyone in basic queue for waiting 12 hours to play a block game
I still appreciate that Fit puts up avatars of people when he mentions them by name.
One time I waited over 8 hours in queue and I quit 2b2t after I got stuck in a 3 block deep bedrock hole
I joined 2b2t once and got on the server almost immediately.
Only now I realize how lucky that was.
I remember logging back in after a few years and being surprised to see a queue!
I remember logging back in after a few years and being surprised to see a queue!
I remember logging back in after a few years and being surprised to see a queue!
I am sure a competent hacker could find a way to bypass the queue entirely somehow.
Sounds like fun. Wait 12 hours to spawn only to get killed by some sweaty nerds in enchanted netherite armor before you even get a stick. Then if you do get to build something it will be destroyed the next day. And everyone hacks which would make this game lame.
honestly the queue has become part of 2b2t culture at this point
Imagine the servers nether gets reset for 1.16, everything would go to chaos
I think no one can replace fit in explaining and showing us the “oldest anarchy server” on TheXvid!!!
I remember waiting 6 hours to join 2b2t and I failed to escape spawn
I'm pretty sure I got onto the server at some point back in like 2012, at a time when I still didn't really know much about servers, or MC in general. I mostly just tried to survive and built a little wooden hut on top of a tree, and talked to some people in chat before I eventually quit. I don't think I ever played again after that point, and I've never been on since, but I still have the same account, so maybe if I ever did get through the que I'd still be there... though that area is probably part of the wasteland around spawn now, since its so much bigger than it was back then. There's no way I'd pay 20$ for priority on a Minecraft Server, so I'll probably never know.
To a large extent, it's the fault of the Minecraft engine. If it was property optimized to utilize multicore CPUs to the fullest extent, server could run with thousands instead of hundreds of players logged in
I love how fit can take totally boring topics like server join queue, and spin it into an interesting 10min story worth listening to
A year ago, a 700 person took me 8-10 hours to get through. Now it can take me upwards of 12 hours for that same que. I use to manipulate server restarts and use it as a "free prio" which would reduce my time to sometimes just 2 hours. I've only seen one time where que was almost 1500 people and had a time of 28 hours.
I love how the 2b2t queue is a reference to the WoW queue, makes it feel like a meme almost
