- In this Mumbo Jumbo Minecraft Hermitcraft video, Mumbo starts building up the first parts of the Hermitcraft Season 9 Mumbo Mega base. This is a giant Minecraft vault, designed to keep my Minecraft diamonds safe. This is a Grian Proof Minecraft base, and I really look forward to making big progress on it!

I find it truly amazing that Grian made a suggestion, and Mumbo didn't even consider rejecting his idea. Mumbo was just "whelp, guess we're moving it" the friendship between these two is truly one of the best parts of HC

Just a thought: because Grian is your neighbour he can see everything you build and perhaps how you build it. Because of this he is going to know the in and outside of the base and thus is breaking in easier. Maybe you should build a giant wall around with a roof, a sign what says "construction site" or something? 😂
Mumbo your rich and all but this man will probably be saving you lots of diamonds that will be stolen.
Mumbo, the vault positioning was fine. It was the BRIDGE that was off. Your two bridges shoulld be alinged, according to Grian.
But he has to move the whole base so the bridge is still in center of the base. Which it isn't now.

Two things:
One, I absolutely love the wall as well! Your building has progressed so much since I've started watching your videos and I love to see it and how excited you get over it :)
Two, you having to walk away from the mic after the great wall of china joke is a mood.

Suggestion: maybe start using moss patches around the base to match grian’s one but overall, going very well right now
It made me smile so much hearing how Mumbo is loving his build. I personally think it is a great looking wall as well but just hearing how happy Mumbo was, made me smile so much.
if ur planning on using more netherwood in ur builds and don't want to engage in the treacherous nature of harvesting them in the nether, you should make a nether tree farm, they're a lot easier to make than normal tree farms and there's designs out there that you can make in 1 hour which then outputs ~80,000 logs/h :]

I just hope Mumbo remembers to move the other outlines of his base an equal number of blocks so that it's all center. Otherwise, it may drive him and Grant bonkers.

@durnominator I got to admit coordinates are easier than what I have gone through to prove the logic to myself
@Guillaume Perron Nantel Yes, in CS terms you can think of it as a pointer from "is here" to "should be here". In Minecraft terms, you can F3 for the coordinates of both blocks and then subtract the coordinates from each other.
@durnominator my thought of process was very similar. I was at first sure how it was done. Then to prove it to myself, I used computer logic. While(not on end block){
current block = current block +1}
When moving 1 block closer to end block, your total movement is equal to it’s previous self + 1. We start at 0. +1 when we get on the block right next to it.
It might look over complicated but it isn’t hard to understand when you are in computer science. If you don’t understand, don’t mind it too much since it is pretty much what durnominator said but with a cumulative amount of time we do his trick until we reach the block we want to end on.
the cliff face needs stone beyond 3 blocks down in each vertical layer, that will look a lot more minecraft.

@bOnk Poptart They're not many players on the server, it's not that bad. And after seeing doc's episode and mumbo's one, i think mumbo lagged more, so the lag you mention is probably fps, client side. The tps is doing great.

@Zer0 Bruh I know it's a joke but I also explain how TNT is less dangerous than lava
@Rogrock Lava is hard to escape once you've fall into, and do heavy damage and set you on fire.
Flying next to TNT is also dangerous because a TNT can fall right on you and explode, but it deals damage only once and lets you escape.

@laika bergzallemand block and item damage is still damage. Lava might kill players but it cant destroy blocks. TNT can kill both players and also destroy blocks.

seeing mumbo learn to build is actually one of my favorite things, like branching out and learning new things really shows the love for the craft
I really love the insights into the design of the walls and stuff. Seeing how professional minecrafters work out what something will look like is really interesting and cool
Personally I really like seeing the design process in the creative world!! I really hope you keep including segments like that in your HC episodes

thats true. i could probably safely say that watching a time lapse of terraforming is one of the most satisfying and interesting things in hermitcraft

I love when Mumbo gets excited about his builds. The self depreciating jokes are great and very comedic but I truly love hearing him getting so excited and proud! Because he should be! He's amazingly talented!

I think the alternation between self depreciating jokes and a total lack of self-citicism is one of the funniest sides of Mumbo. Like, one moment everything is pants and he has two braincells, and 5 minutes later he has the best wall in the world :D

You should build a large helicopter holding a storage unit above your vault, may be a good place for a bed if you can't get one
You should make a giant statue on top of the vault like a monkey statue and temple or something that guards the vault and you have to go through the temple maze to even get to the entrance
You could always add another layer to the interior so you can choose what it looks like without having to be the same as the outside
Yes Mumbo, being carpet bombed tends to be an issue especially when concerning the health of the person on the receiving end

Just a small idee for the content of the vault: Make a Red-stone-door for grian's base which can be opened via a key-card only. Then store a copy of the key-card in your vault. So when he breaks in the inner center of your vault, the only thing he finds is the key-card to his own base :)
