You can't win a race against someone who's already calculated the distance times windspeed! π
X=Distance and Y=Wind speed
π€£π€£π€£π₯π₯π₯
ππππ
Hey algebra is different from physics π
ππ
Guy: "But how can your run this fast?"
Teacher: "It's all math"
*meth
@MrWhite i think this cause foot fracture
Math with a e
ππππ They always say that
STRAIGHT UP!!! LMAO π€£π
Legend has it the kid is still running, trying to catch up to his pride.
@EmPtyY DoUXel idk what that means, I'm just asking whether you got the joke and still felt the need to explain, or whether it just flew over your head.
@ObjectivelyLonely r you questioning me Or ur helping this people?
@EmPtyY DoUXel did you miss the joke that bad or are you one of those people?
@Saved By Grace have a great lifee
That "OH NO" is the realization that he was about to get beat in a race by a teacher wearing slacks.
Itβs so genuine. He knows people are gonna remember this for the rest of school.
ππ€£ππ
Not to mention white.
Itβs also the realization that teachers have an actual life outside of school.
@coyotecom nah he had running shoes
It's great to see teachers connecting with their students. It's so funny
This actually happened to my atheltics trainer quite a while back when he was still competing. He was the dutch national champion at the time, but also teaching mathematics. Students read about him in the newspaper and believed they could beat him. My trainer stopped the lesson and went to the track and field to race them, result was the students getting their ass wooped in that race.
@Om Patel u just had to go and ruin a decent comment, didn't u?
@Om Patel Anger (and passive aggressiveness) is a secondary emotion.
Foolish students π
Huh? Interesting combination. Name?
@βΒ³ who cares
Dad - How was school today son?
Son - The Algebra teacher was tough.
Dad - It's ok. Those equations can be tricky. Just study harder.
Son - No, I passed the test. I lost to him in a foot race.
Dad - I'm proud and ashamed of you simultaneously.
@Tenta Klaus I don't wanna risk any misunderstanding so I'll just try to explain myself more clearly.
The "illusion of uncertainty" that @Beyond was talking about refers to OP's comment, saying "Proud & ashamed at the same time".
Proud - because his son passed the test.
Ashamed - because his son lost the race.
This proves what @Beyond said, that the Dad already has deterministic outcome for each individual situation. Hence, the dad cannot be refered to as "Schrodinger's Dad".
@Tenta Klaus I read both of your comments & it seems that you misunderstood the last line of that comment. (Try to read it again while keeping the OP's comment in mind)
@Tenta Klaus Please read the comment again. What you said is right, but the comment you replied to is correct too. I think you just misunderstood what '@Beyond Human Range' wrote.
@Tenta Klaus it's always cute when someone who barely understands the concepts chimes in. Then we get nonsense like yours
You can hear the Teacher say βdonβt cheatβ mans knew he got the wheels
He like I already tell you this shit when you are taking your test.
and the student said "don't die"
LmAo. I like how the teacher is literally picking up speed the whole race.
I did that once with my computer science teacher, turns out he was a Gulf War Veteran Submarine Warfare Specialist who kept up with his Navy Standards as he was also a Reservist, I was ashamed π€·ββοΈ
That kinda Title should be respected.. damn he stay silent about his past life.
That sounds like a cool teacher
Wow that's a big title. Man deserves our gratitude.
Iβd say honored.
They wont remember how to solve for "x" but I guarantee the kids will remember this at there 25 year reunion
@E Rico Bro they already murdered X....
Malcolm X π
Facts!
@E Rico But y?
@zzz zzz considering the task is to solve for x, it's probably asked of you to put x in terms of y and z
@Luke Swofford if you dont put equality, there's nothing to solve...
He calculated the perfect formula to win!
@Lisa Williams *H o w w a s i t c u t e*
That was genuinely cute.
Beat me to it
Why do I get the feeling he had questionable grades and he told his teacher don't worry he's going to be an athlete, so his teacher said let's see it then and went outside to destroy him.
That would be an excellent opportunity for the teacher to show the students the importance of math
Now he will really pay attention in class after finding out he has no future as an athlete
Damn. This one hurt me.
Funny asf π€£π€£π€£π
Or use the numbers to increase his speed lol
Algebra teacher:
You lost because I calculated the perfect sprint rythm with the optimal input to output foot ratio. Next time pay attention in class Jack, and youβll be the best runner there ever was.
Wat is this, Kuroko no Basket? π
If you pay close attention to the teacher's form he's got no head bob nor sideways motion, his body has no bounce, every single kilojoule generated by his legs is going to the effort of going forward. He's got it all calculated
That's a good teacher. Interacting with the students on a fun level. π
Nice to see teachers interacting positively with students
Little did little Johnny know that his Math Teacher was a 5 star recruit college track and field star. Who chose teaching over athletics.
Smokedβ¦.
My algebra teacher is actually a track coach and use to be in the track team
@Not Thatname what?
Stop
I love how kids/teens think they are stronger and faster than a grown ass adult
@Magnar Creed Uh its pretty common for a teenager to be overall more athletic than your average adult this is just an exception
I meanβ¦. Iβve seen most teaching adults and just about any kid could beat them.
When I was 45 yo I could
still out run my 16 yo son. Sometimes you just have to show them you're not as decrypted as they think you are.
But are you as decrepit? π
Both has different run style. The teacher body was straight, arms at his side propelling him foward faster. But student head/arms/ body was swinging all over the place (wasted energy).
Teacher done gave that boy a life lesson. "Don't start Nothing and there will be nothing"!
The teacher waited for this moment his whole life
That's what I call a confident student and a teacher knows when is the appropriate time is to meet his students halfway in their journey together.
My Spanish teacher just told our class that hes a multi-marathon runner, and that he just ran 100 miles on Saturday just for fun, for fun!
And you think that he's 100% legit?
That teacher had penguin feet and still won. π€£
Penguin Feet vs Knocked-knees Pigeon Toes.
This didn't add up for him. He still trying to figure it out ππ
The teacher used algebra to calculate the square root of which speed and which position to use to run faster than his competitor.
His Form when he runs is PERFECTLY CALCULATED!
He really knows how momentum works!
The "ah damn !" Killed me lmao his pride went ππππ
This is exactly like my computer science teacher ππ heβs also one of the geometry teachers but heβs so chill and we all love him. Apparently he was one of the first teachers that my mother said she agreed with in how I am. (My mother teaches at my highschool) so most of my teachers have known me since I was like 10 but apparently they always say Iβm so sweet and such a kid, etc. And my cs teacher said βI love her but sometimes she really pisses me offβ and my mother exact words were βnow thatβs my daughter!β My teacher lost it π
That teacher got the most flat feet ever! He definitely was meant to win that race!! Lmfao π€©
Truly a algebruh moment. Dude was a good sport about it.
Just imagine how their class was the next day, everyone talking about how his math teacher beat him in a race. I'd be dead
algebra teacher did the calculations beforehand, he knew damn well heβd win π
Bruh the teachers form told it all and clearly shown how he won easily lmao. Feel sad for the guy who challenged him and got dusted hard
You hearing about that every class lol π€£π€£
Yeah I did this with my high school nephew when I was 42 and I beat him right up until I blew out not one but both hamstrings. I couldn't walk straight for 3 months π€£ and have not even thought about sprinting since.
American spirit is on another level I swear
@Sam Thibert you say you're from Canada as if Canadians aren't equally patriotic (maybe even more) and have the same spirit.
@King Alfredo So your point is a simple "grow up". Why is it? Could you provide me with any explanation for your points and proofs? Just to get the simple one out of the way: you will probably say that it is childish to have involved myself in this unimportant argument. I participated in this argument out of entertainment and general inability to be logical present here and not for any care for the topic. I would actually like to say this exact statement to most of the parcitipants in this thread
@Iggy Stardust The fact that the only come back is how I comment and an insult is a sign of you being part of the group I described and you are essentially proving my point. Thank you
@Oscar Tamayo you must have lost the concept of time along with that too
The fact that your comment does little to make sense makes me question why you even went to effort of writing it out. Even if I wanted to be offended by it, I still can't because of the fact that it essentially has no aim
Thos makes me so happy to see. Honestly I dont think teachers get enough credit. Yeah there are some that are just there for the shitty check. When you find a great teacher like this though it really changes how kids look at school and learning. β€π
This reminds me of our high school teacher who used to play with us (when vacation's almost near and there's no more lessons) that was fun. I was on my second year in high school yet I felt like a kid again, same with those classmates I never knew would play along
He calculated the distance and took The time till he reach the finish point as 'x' Therefore he divided and Hence he got the velocity he needs to run atπ
The algebra teacher just new the coefficient of air drag to speed and solved for x for max acceleration while maintaining a respectable physical posture.
@Almond Pie If you don't get it, do what I do when initially confused, break the problem down into smaller parts:
Learn:
What a coefficient is
How air drag affects speed
Acceleration formula
How physical posture ties into drag
Tf that mean?
He already calculated all the steps necessary to win.
Proper form, optimal pace, and overwhelming confidence.
My man calculated the entire algebraic equation and won the race lmao
Student: I dont need Math, I'm going to become a famous runner
Teacher: Bro, u cant even beat me in a race...
Same thing happened to me in high school sophomore year. Challenge of my algebra teacher to pull-up contest. He was extremely tall thin and scrawny with no muscle. He destroyed me in front of the whole class. It was pretty awesome.
Always take a challenge like this; fun for the whole gang.
Nice to see that Forest junior is doing well for himself, and bringing honor to the Gump name.
Fantastic love it. All of my teachers were as old as air. Would have loved for a teacher to do this with.
The teacher already calculated the race.π€£π€£
He said, βOH NOOOβ lmfao π
He calculated his run just right π
I once got a test pushed back a day by challenging my history teacher to a push up contest
Did your history teacher win?
Btw, I feel like my history teacher might be able to do a good Beetlejuice impression
So.......um
Did you win??
That is why he is the "Teacher" π
Thats how you earn respect from your students!π
That student thought he was ready for teach π
He's not just fast at Algerbra he's also a fast runner π
That speed of running is just the same speed of his solving. Well done teacher.
He must understand that a master is always a master. π€π€π€
Guaranteed the teacher calculated the best place to keep his foot for the start lol
The teacher had oval wheels and the student had square wheels
Never underestimate the older generation π π―
The teacher used the power of *y=mx+b* in order to find the correct slope-intercept necessary to beat the student in a race
AWESOME to see a teacher do more than teach!!
his mathematical equations helped him calculate his speed faster than the student's
The teacher was running for his life π€£
From a C grade and went to D ππππ
Kid: linear motion
Teacher: quadratic motion π
The algebra teacher won because of this: he calculated the speed his shoes were able to go so far and outran him
He calculated the speed at which he had to run and examined they surrounding area and found the data of the air resistance and multiplyed it by one and excicuted it in a mere second
The sound of defeat in his voice at the end
that teacher was running for his self respect
I hear the algebra teacher at the beginning saying "don't you cheat" hahaha
Teacher turns around to the kid and says: βI was varsity champ in this same school 15 years agoβ
Plot twist: During the race he realized his answer to the only question he solved in the test was wrong..it was 2 squared not 2! Then he said : oh noooo!
I love this. Well I guess teacher won his undivided attention.
Teach even brought the shoes out
That's when you know it's serious
He calculated the air velocity and resistance to maximize his speed
Bro lost to a teacher ππ
He knows the maths rules to run fasterπ
Looks like the teacher won so it still looks like the teacher has more things to teach to student πππ
well no-one can beat the guru π
He probably calculated where to put his feet and how fast to do it in to win that race
Legend has it the kid is still running, trying to catch up to his pride.
Student: How did you win?
Teacher: I assumed I am Bolt.
Well my algebra teacher in high school used to run for her university track team. So I wouldnβt have ever made that mistake. Donβt underestimate your teachers.
That's what I'm talkin about teacher had to teach the Youngβ€π
He calculated his trajectory and won the race!
If a teacher agrees to these type of games, u better believe they know they can win
"Hoo, you're challenging me?!"
- That teacher, probably
The Algebra leaned, pulled up, and strides to the finish. I think the student made a foolβs bet against someone whoβs been trained on how to run successfully π
He lost so he can get good grades in Algebra π
The teach got the power of math, science and physics on his side
So cool! Our junior high math teacher was the track coach, also!
I've seen this type of thing happen many times. A young upstart challenges an elder only to be humiliated. Bravo.
Everyone else: Watching the race
Me: wondering if the algebra teacher really used maths to pull this off
@Swimfan firstly, I never said I was unique. If so then prove it. Also itβs just my opinion why do u care?
Thatβs like every single comment though. Youβre not unique
Simple mathematics always wins ππ
No wonder he won he knows the distance formula π€£
You see that point at the beginning? Teacher ain't fooling me he for sure played wideout in high school or college
