Now, I'll start by NOT getting too technical.
Let's just start with the fact there's multiple camera angles.
ERGO, if I was crazy, and thought this was live, I thought that literally everything is the way it seems at the very least, I'd be able to understand /I could see with my eyes-that they can cut in between cameras, yeah?
OK! NOW, let's go on a little bit more of a deep dive, shall we?
Let's go to reality, OK!
Here we are!
So, when talent is supposed to go onto a television broadcast, especially if they're talent that will guarantee the ratings of that specific show to go up exponentially/much more than they usually go up for their mediocre guests there are many signatures, and many stipulations to their agreeing to the interview. Example(but not limited to)
Billie's team, prior to signing anything negotiates with Jimmy Kimmels producers on everything from camera angles that Billy approves, time spent on each camera, final cut, sound, everything under the sun.
Most importantly… The questions which Billy is asked are the questions that Billy tells Kimmel's producers what she wants to have asked.
So she goes into it, knowing what will be asked, and at the end, someone of her stature likely has final say in the cut which is actually broadcasted of said interview.
There are a lot of dotted lines that you have to sign, and there are a lot of things going on behind the scenes to make that interview appear the way that you think it has been seamlessly "performed."
Also, she's more mature she's more of an adult she doesn't talk all "ghetto" anymore for no particular reason short of the fact that she wasn't comfortable in her own skin. Now she's a beautiful young lady who is more comfortable with herself. I.e. she's more comfortable with the projection of herself that she likes to "give" to the public, savvy?
Ergo, the reason she's "leading" the conversation- is because it has been edited that way.

What is the difference between Kimmel asking for the glasses which the girl/woman takes off herself and Billie asking if she gives consent? Cutting someones hair with no experience is not gonna be pretty so it does show character on Billies side but Kimmel was being polite too. As someone with glasses I get asked to take them off at the dentist or the hairstylist or whatever. It's a normal thing.

How about you leave her alone and don't look under scrutiny at her every public appearance? Yes, she said she picked up the virus somewhere in August and felt really bad for about two months. And that she felt like she was dying, but also how people feel like they're dying when they have the flu, so did she. This girl is really not allowed a single misstep, not even 1 wrong word - as if she should be perfect at every opportunity, in public, on a stupid internet where she doesn't even have a chance to defend herself. And she is barely 20 years old, and at the age of 15 she gave such interviews, by which it was clear that she was far ahead of her peers. Thinking, throughout her mindset saying what she thinks. It would be a really good time for people to relax and if they listen to her interview, let them listen to her. It would be best to listen to her music and watch videos that she made, edited and starred in herself, earning countless bruises and many things for which she should at least be recognized. But no, people aren't like that and I'm dreaming. 🙄

@sam I hated that previous interview. He did a much better job this time. TBH, Billie has a huge knowledge and appreciation of all types of music from before her time. After listening to all 12 hours of her radio show last year (twice!) I'd say there is no way she didn't know Van Halen. The girl is heavily into Frank Sinatra, Green Day, all sorts of older stuff from different genres, plus her top 5 or 6 favorite Beatles songs are all deep cuts, not obvious hits. Agree about Jimmy being obsessed with age, LOL!

I'm not sure why people get so hung up on age and whether older people would like someone that is much younger and is in the entertainment industry. When he brought up the Van Halen controversy I was hoping he would mention how Wolfgang Van Halen spoke in her defense. He's also been dealing with a lot social media bullshit since the death of his father and it really hits me where I live as I lost my father three months earlier. We're also the same age and it was my father who introduced me to Van Halen and I remain a fan to this day.
