@Pandax no, someone in another comment actually cleared this. Pewds wasn’t even addressing poki nor was his discussion in any relevance to her. Apparently his clip is prior to this, I think a few months? They said that someone asked him to watch something on stream in which he refused bc he’d be copyrighted so he watched phineas and ferb whilst commentating and pausing.

i think this video, even though it's clearly edited to just show pewdiepie, perfectly encapsulates how much pokimane will take one single comment and add more to it to make it more dramatic so she could play victim and show how "stressed" and "anxious" she felt. Everytime she's criticized, she does this to some degree.

React streamers are good if they add something while reacting, like mizkif as much as I want to not give him credit, his music react streams are one of the best react content out there. The subtle jokes, the bs fake stories and overall vibes are unmatched. But poki on the other hand just watches the content with faint reaction every 5 minutes which is very boring but her tier 3 subs will watch anything she does. And the juicer XQC is also a mid tier react streamer because he can be funny sometimes but is very inconsistent.

My take on the react meta drama. Twitch is cracking down on copyright, some of it is warranted and others it is not. But we saw this on TheXvid many years ago with small react channels that would simply watch the full episode and post it with their commentary. A large majority of those creators left the platform or got copy-write striked off. As much as I like the genre it is clearly not a topic for streaming. Yes watch parties are not as fun but they are legal, reacting to clips is what TheXvid has found is cleared for the most part. I do think the content is low effort that doesn’t mean it’s bad, it’s engaging but I don’t think this is a hill worth dying on. Some companies might even recognize the power of streams and those big streamers with big reach could reach out to companies about clearance to watch the first or seconded episode early and live with the streamer. My main point is that react streams with minimal commentary and full un-edited episodes I feel was just asking for this mass banning.
Tbh if pewdiepie has to come out and speak about this stuff you know this stuff has gone to far lol
