Put something in a small container or metal ring and see if the UV glue can keep it in place. Also, see if you can tint it to get a desired color

It's just CA glue and the activator is just acetone. It's the same as star bond, or 2P-10.

That seems like the builder gel I use for my nail extensions. It stays a liquidy gel forever until you hit it with the UV or LED curing light. Then it's rock hard.

    My suggestion:
"Mix it with soapy water, and then try to cure it".
I'm curious about seeing how it reacts with the miscelles that naturally form around covalent compounds in soap (you might get microbeads)

    • Ian Schimnoski
Ian Schimnoski 28 days ago +1

So, soap is like catdog, and one end likes to grab grease and the other end likes to chase after water, so, they wind up getting stuck to eachother in clumps called miscelles, but the miscelles also form around dirt, and greasey stuff, so if those beads start to form in the glue after you stir it: it might make mini micro marbles

I think you guys should try to make rubber that fixes it's self with heat.
For example if you ripped the bottom of your sneakers instead of throwing them out you would put it in sunlight then it would fix it's self. I got this idea from a newsela article. This rubber is a prototype right now.

How come no one called out the flaw with UV Glue that you activate it, make it cure and only then put the things you want to glue together.
Can't shine it through the objects you're trying to glue. Not to mention the strength not being exceptional besides that massive downside already.

I am actually kind of upset that from most of the comments I have read (Not even close to all but enough) that none of you thought to ask to have it stick two clear objects together. Something I would like to see is if you shine UV through a prism will the glue cure everywhere or only in the path of the light.
