I made this soap for a competition I have entered, mostly just for fun to see if I could do it,I need a lot more practice.

This was a real nail biter. I was hanging on your every move. Very entertaining! I thought it would have been more colorful inside too but it's still an interesting and lovely bar. Congrats for being so daring. Thanks for the wild ride with this one. 😊

I feel the same as many. Disappointing when it does not turn out like we want, but "someone's throw outs are always someone else's treasure. You are a true artist, personally for me I prefer doing HP in making the best soap I can, less stress for me. Thanks for sharing another piece of art with us.

    Hi :)
I love the way this soap turned out - thought it to be on purpose LOL.
i digged up your friends videos - quite a straightforward and standard method.
Would love to troubleshoot with you. Witch is not that easy from a distance. Of course I don't know how much water you used, nor the composition of the mica....
    Some thoughts though:
    - I think you had bad luck with the mica. : Most mica are a composition of different colours - those might be pigments, but also oxides and lakes (which may bleed a bit).
Then there is particle size. A pink like yours, may consist of some red oxide, a fluo lake (hot pink), purple oxide, ultramarine blue, TiO2 and mica.
Normally you would stick blend until a homogeneous consistency, but now you're hand stirring for a short period.
You know that e.g. oxides and most lakes are water soluble , so they're following their own path through the soap ...
IMHO choosing simple colours, like ultramarine blue and (hydrogenated) green chrome oxide, or a yellow will (or the mica only containing those colours and TiO2) give you the results that you initially expected.
Hope this helps a bit. :)
