Kendall, could you possibly look into going a video on a missing teen from Murfreesboro, Tennessee? His name is Devin Bond and was last seen March 2017. He has vanished. I think your channel will help get his story out to more people and hopefully find some answers. Since you also do unsolved mystery videos this may be something you're interested in. His mother runs a Facebook page named "Bring Devin Home" and she would be more than happy to give every detail she can. My heartbreaks for his family & I hope they can find closer on his disappearance but I think more exposure it what his story needs.

It’s refreshing to see a white girl who is actually educated on this sort of thing. I am Choctaw native, and for years I have had to sit through incorrect, selective history lessons in school. So much of our history has been whitewashed and forgotten about. We are such a small minority that it is nearly impossible to get the truth out. Last year I was given a referral for telling a teacher that her account of thanksgiving was missing some very important details. I just wish that more people with a platform like yourself would speak out.

Sometimes I think the greatest sense of camaraderie with American adults that don't mind learning here and there is the infinite progression of being aware of all the history that probably should've been in the mandatory school curriculum or were heavily distorted. Christopher Columbus and Thanksgiving are just the beginning.
1/64th Cherokee. I thought it was cool that we had evidence to back up the family story that was had some native heritage, then disappointed that it was such a low percentage. And she was a slave woman that became an unofficial wife (I guess there was no legal marriage between white and natives at the time?).

U should make a video about aboriginal people in canada.. alot of us go missing here or end up in a river, most cases are not solved or “no foul play”
females go missing and males get killed. theres a river in thunder bay ontario called “mclyntre river”.. alot of aboriginal people been pulled out of the river & saying we drowned. its mostly youth, but how can us aboriginal people drown when we were raised by a lake.. well most people know how to swim and only a few dont know how to swim. I live on a reservation called weagamow lake ontario.. theres only 2 ways we can go to town.. a plane or wait until winter to drive on the ice and go to town.

I have a major in indigenous studies and I appreciate this so much. Sadly is was millions killed not thousands, most historians believe anywhere between 10- 30 million people across all of north America. Canada was even more horriable to the native and have been for years, it's very sad.

Its really sad that the majority of White people pranced around with their trump hats, complaining about immigrants, when THEIR ANCESTORS ARE IMMIGRANTS TOO.
How are y'all white individuals & you're not even aware of YOUR OWN history & background.
My point is, let's educate ourselves first, before doing or saying anything about others.

One of your best videos you've ever done for sure! I'm so tired of white people erasing the horrible history of what their ancestors did to Native Americans, and how unfairly they are still being treated today. I'm absolutely living for the exposure of this topic. Even though I do personally celebrate Thanksgiving as a day of simply giving thanks, being grateful for what I have, and spending time with family, I definitely think the history should be more well known. Love you Kendall!

I wrote a book and when Thanksgiving comes around, my characters also boycott it. I've been trying to educate about this for a while. I'd rather have it as a day of mourning and remembrance though I do spend time with family. We have quesadillas though. It's just dinner.

My family and I come from Germany and we live in the United States. I grew up in school being taught how wonderful Christopher Columbus was and that Thanksgiving is this wonderful holiday. They always left out the truth on what Americans really did. They slaughtered so many Native Americans but textbooks leave that out. When it came to other issues like the Nazis they always made sure we knew about all of it. But when it comes to American history we are only taught the good stuff. It makes Americans look good and every other nation look bad. It's a shame because there's so much more German history we aren't taught. Classrooms should start teaching the truth, not making other nations look terrible just so they can look like the heroes. Thank you making this video and talking about the truth.

This is very simular to how the modern Jamaica came to be. They were originally the Arowak Indians not black people, they were killed off with disease brought to them by the white man once the Arowaks were all gone they then began shipping in African, Indians (middle easterns) and Chinese as slaves making them work on the plantations which is why Jamaicans and other Caribbean countries are mostly black people due to the slave trade.

Sick people started our government. That's why it's so divided. These people are who started the great divide between cultures here in the USA. I am more than 85% Native American and 45% Navajo the rest is German, Welsh and French from my mother's side. There is a movie based off my father's family's struggle as well as other families through the dust bowl. There is an exhibit here in my home town museum Knots, that tells the story of my grandad and how my family survived the dust bowl and the other families who struggled as well. I am very proud of my heritage. Also the movie Grapes Of Wrath is based off my grandpa and my family and all other families who struggled through the dust bowl. It's a great movie. I remember when the casting crew came over to my grandparents house to interview my grandpa for the movie. I was a kid barely 9 year's old. I sat in my grandpa's lap through half of the interview. ☺️😊

Where you there? How do you know all these stories are true? What sources do you rely upon? I think the truth is somewhere in the middle. I see young "progressives" like you conveniently leaving out facts that destroy your narrative all the time. The Indians (some tribes) where just as vicious (to whites and themselves) as any "evil white men" that you tend to target.

Disgusting......sweet sacrifice....listening to this makes me glad my great grandmother wasnt born so far back but i feel so sad for her ancestors and mine. I do not celebrate Thanksgiving, i will never and choose to be thankful my family survived this and I am here. I am trying right now to get in contact with as many family members i can from my Greatgrandmothers side, something that has been so muddled and lost with her as she is gone. This made me feel intense loss hearing this all over. My History teacher kept it real and she told us about these details and i am thankful to her. Some details you said though...ugh. My children will known the truth and will know who they are, every part and to live for the future with them in mind not in the past with anger and not in the past and take care of the land as ive been taught. Nothing is better than showing we can move forward through the pain of anything.

It makes sense why this wouldn’t be told in schools for those as young in elementary school... kids do not always have the capability to fathom dark concepts like this. No person celebrates Thanksgiving to celebrate the deaths of native Americans but to be thankful for what they possess; no person should feel guilty about history because they did not do it. Surely it’s good to know the truth but it’s not like this will change minds about the holiday.

The difficult thing about history is that we are relying on the word or perceptions of those who lived at the time that can be very different from one another depending on their experience. Hard to really know what the truth is and what it is not. I would be curious to know what source material you used for this. My guess is that there are opposing viewpoints on just about every significant event in history. How are we ever to know the TRUTH. I’m not sure that there is a TRUTH apart from opinion and perception. Everyone has an agenda to push. Makes me suspicious of everything tbh. Just pondering. Thanks for the video. It was interesting.
