Erik Voss analyzes Doctor Strange's true intentions and hidden agenda, exploring Strange's careful word choice. What was Doctor Strange's plan exactly in Avengers Infinity War and Avengers Endgame? And what did we miss from the Ancient One's final words to Doctor Strange that explains Strange's Time Stone visions?

What if every win scenario demanded that Dr Strange answer " one"? even if there were a million? what would you do? Tell the truth, or Lie to your teeth? Deontology Vs Utilitareanism. Sometimes the ends do justify the means.

Strange didn’t tell tony because tony would’ve probably not done bc he didn’t want to die

I have a different theory, cause strange says, "If I tell you, it wont happen". What if hes referring to the sacrifice stark has to make and remember stark told cap'n America, that if he had to choose he would've chosen what he already has and protect that, as in his family. So maybe strange couldn't tell stark, cause stark may not have sacrificed himself if he was told he had to sacrifice himself. Stark clearly could be seen struggling with leaving his family to save the world.

The thing is that Peter parker said he blacked out when he was dusted so strange could see beyond his "death" because he actually didn't die but he came back so technically he didn't die

My theory was that if Stark knew he had to do it, it would have been screwed up by him showing his hand. Thanos could have caught on he was going after the stones
& it would have made him do everything quicker without the Epic Villain dialogue statement of his Evil Plan!
Because every Villain has to explain their plan prior to getting defeated for taking to long!?!
I've always thought it came down to him telling Stark @ the last second! Even when people were still talking about the Rat bring the hero! Ugh! Lol
As I am watching TheXvid videos well Endgame is on in the background! 🤷‍♀️🤣🤣🤣

There could have been only one possible outcome where everyone comes out alive. But clearly this outcome is not it. Though it could be possible that Strange knew that by losing the final battle they would go back in time to win the battle. There are multiple instances where one small change in the timeline could have led to that one possible outcome where everyone comes out alive. Why they didn’t just go back in time to kill Thanos before he became evil is beyond me. They go back in time to kill Thanos, destroy the infinity stones and boom! Everything is good! Going back in time to kill Thanos would mean that Loki never gets mind controlled and does not try to take over the Earth. He would either meet Thor back on Asgard or during Ragnarok. Asgard would still get destroyed by Hela and the Asgardians find shelter on Earth but no Thanos. Strange might not have seen this outcome because he was only looking into the future and not the past. By that I mean that the choice to go back in time to kill Thanos would have already passed the mark. So he might not have seen it. Though it could have been part of one if the many outcomes in the future but it somehow led to something or someone worse(or not) than Thanos. There are so many possibilities that are running through my head but I just wanted to share this! Thanks for reading if you got this far! :3

Why do none of these theory videos take into account that they didn't win?
They lost. Then, after 5 years, they used time travel to get a good (not perfect, a lot of disruption comes from a 5-year absence) result.
So why would Dr Strange have seen this time line as a win? He'd have gone to the snap then given it up as a loss, stopped looking and gone to the next option.
My theory is that this is not the "win" time line (or one of them, if he was lying) he saw, but once off the losing ones, but when he came back he was improvising to keep Stark focused.

Dr Strange lied to Tony like parents lie to their kids. It’s to protect them and to eliminate any further questions. Call it a “ because I said so” or “it’s on a need to know basis”.

    Thanos: I am Inevitable
Tony Stark: I'll do you one better. Are You Inevitable.
Ebony Maw: I'll do you one better. Why is Inevitable

    NO THANK YOU Month ago

I think that Strange saw two potential futures with the exact events leading up to him saying the “if I tell you what happens” line, with the timelines branching off when Tony asks him about it. In the good timeline he says the line and it goes down exactly like in the movie, and in the bad timeline he actually tells Stark what happens, and somehow this changes the result so the Avengers lose. So by saying that line Strange was literally telling the truth, saying that him telling Stark will cause the alternative bad timeline of events to happen.

To be honest, I don't think the deep thinking we do about both these avengers movies have any meaning. The reason being none other than Russo brothers. They make very plain movies. Very politically inclined. Sure, they made winter soldier and civil war very well. But they should've stuck to stuff like that. They do not believe in unrealistic things and magical stuff. They give us physics lectures in the name of superhero movies. I'm very disappointed in them. Any given director could make infinity and endgame as good as they were presented to us. Hell, what we saw was a mere scrape off of what we deserve. Do not expect much out of them. I repeat. Do not expect much out of them.

Why didn't he just warn nebula not to go back in time so it wouldn't alert thanos to the time heist. They could've returned and snapped everyone back and thanos would've never gotten the pym particles to follow them.

Well, the way I think of it, strange didn’t really die when he got snapped. The black widow situation tells us that dead people can’t be brought back by the stones. Therefore I don’t think they were dead but idk

Perhaps he said there was only one so that they would be desperate to win desperate enough where the hulk would overcome his fears and will everyone back into reality instead of Thor since Thor was needed in the fight with Thanos, desperate enough for Natasha to sacrifice herself for the soulstone , desperate enough where Tony ultimately snaps Thanos out of existence regardless the cost. Maybe the instances where they were desperate had higher chances or more likely to happen rather than when they were informed of multiple chances. He needed them focused on one outcome rather than have multiple backups.
