TheXvid asked me to rate this comment
5/5
"Like a colour blind machinist at a skittles factory, the nudibranch is unable to appreciate its own decoration"
What an incredible sentance
“Every time you ask why, evolution either adds or removes a nipple from a cat”
Was literally drinking water as he said that and now I have a floor to clean
*look it up*
Thanks, we all needed to know about that in the comment section
@TheOiseau ohh thanks bahaha😂😂
@Lianives -> Curiously, a cat can have an unusual number of nipples, like 5 or 7, and as a species, they don't seem to have a standard number. If you ask why, evolution just adds or subtracts another nipple.
I dont get it
"This is the first yoga pose they teach you when you arrive in hell"
I was following his instructions to my discomfort and when he said that I laughed so hard I almost snapped my back in half

And had you, I still would've nominated you for a Darwin Award, despite (thankfully) not resulting in your own self-created demise!
But either way, given the type of video this was, it'd be a bit poetic. 😁
Honestly, mixing humour with education would've been the extra push I needed to be a straight A student lol 😂
Well done, sir 😉👊
Zefrank went from killing the TheXvid game to MIA and then straight back to killing the TheXvid game. And that is how a Frank do.

@PetiEtoon goddammit, my dad and i loved those commercials so much. I still rewatch them.
@1MinuteFlipDoc noooooooo. Really?
“I know what you’re thinking; ‘if I had that kind of luggage, I’d pack it myself’.”
I LOST it at this one.
I have watched THOUSANDS of nature documentaries, and this, by far, was the very best EVER! Who writes your material? Who narrates? How refreshing to laugh WITH the video instead of AT the video. Kudos!
Lol he writes, researches, and records them all himself. Which is why he updates so slow. It mentions all the credits and whatever either in the description or the end credits.
Edit: just realized that you already answered your own question haha
Jerry helps him it’s so funny when he talks crap bout jerry
Abi needs to click "more" so she can get the answers to her questions, yes..I know! Now shut up Abi 🤣🤣🤣
"You see these two cows? Tricked you, they are actually nudibranchs." Lol
I know right! Lol they're obviously cows!
"You thought they were cows!"
You didnt mention that halfway through their lifecycle, some Nudibranchs eat their own brain (true)
That is a certainly an unexpected midlife crisis strategy. Not sure I'd recommend it, though.
"This one is perfectly camouflaged as an old man with his hands behind his back inspecting his garden."
This narration is perfect.
@Jim Q. Starr hello 👋
@Cherry The cat aka Yvette hi

:))
Nice
Its like ozzyman with a whopping high IQ
This has to be the best commentary I’ve ever heard!! Loving the dad jokes and hilarious way this guy is describing things
Well, lucky for you, this guy has dozens and dozens of similar nature videos. They are all just as hilarious and educational as this one.
@blue dragonfly me too lol
I especially appreciate the little chuckle and 'that was a dad joke'.
"Like sneezing in outer space" I can't tell if I've just become more of a saddo through lockdown, but that line coupled with the nudibranch just like, uselessly flapping around.
I needed that laugh so badly today
The "unsnailed snail" literally made me snort. Same with the proctologist.
I was expecting an average documentary when I clicked on this video. This is a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.
The use of the word "freaky" should have been somewhat of a hint.
@Brenden Reed You are a bold one.
@Brenden Reed General Kenobi!
Hello there
There are few experiences that can compare with a True Facts video. And then all other documentaries are more boring than listening to that one socially awkward family member drone on about this wacky dream they had about a cat and a talking rotisserie chicken in an empty parking lot at 3 a.m.
"It strikes with the vigor of a proctologyst who lost a wedding ring" lmao, sir you are crazy, please never change.
It makes one envision things one doesn't wish to.
@Julien Chappuis how were you able to stay at the meeting? My mind would have been in overdrive imagining all the other co-workers as the different types of nutibrachs.😅
@Tammy LaRonde hi
@Tammy LaRonde hi
hi
'Much like butt-smuggling hand grenades'
As one so often does.
"As one so often DO."
You're welcome ;-)
This was wildly entertaining funny and informative. I love watching animal documentaries so this was a refreshing change to the norm. Thank you ever so much, you made my week! Definitely subscribing. 😂👍😉✌🏻
🤣😂 I couldn't stop laughing, thinking & I'm learning more about nudibranch. This guy made it a comedy show/class. 2 thumbs up 👍👍🤣😂🐌🥰💙💚💜 a Pikachu that got busy with a Swiffer 😂😆 lol
“Looks like a pikachu got busy with a swiffer” lmao can’t breathe 🤣
well they are under water ;p
I agree though these lines are killer.
Sir David Attenborough: "Observe the nudibranch's magnificent movements." zefrank1: "WTF is that thing doing. is that even morally right?" Ah, there is balance in the universe.
I would honestly give up a limb to see them collab
Almost symmetric.
Super symmetric
It's similar to how all matter have antimatter counterparts
Animal Planet has to step up their narration game 😂😂 get on his level yall
I actually used this for my zoology class and got an A on my assignment,
I would have paid WAY more attention in biology if my teachers all use dialog like this! Well done
I'm a diver and I've photographed these little shits for a long time but never really knew or cared about anything than the colors and shapes they produce. I can honestly admit I learned something from True facts, holy shit!
"I mean, why aren't our pants pockets shaped like gloves! There are mysteries in this world!"
THE BEST narration of ANY educational videos and my heart is IN LOVE with this dude!
"Much like butt-smuggling hand grenades.." LOL
The narrator for this video is absolutely hilarious 😂 NEVER a dull moment 🤣🤣🤦♀️
*"SCARY CLOWN SAYS RUN AWAY."*
That alone is legendary.
Zefrank1, you've done it again.
I was in tears, laughing
@6:30
@Double G Loved that little moment, too.
I may have laughed harder than I should have at that. Had to pause. 🤣
"fleshy fleshy" "swimy swimmy"
I'm glad he's not afraid to hit us with technical terminology, it helps make the videos more informative
He has a refined vocabulary 🎩
"floppy floppy" 🤣
If I had had this dude as a science teacher, I might have given up a lucrative career in endocrinology much sooner and "branched" out into stand up comedy.
"It strikes with the vigor of a proctologist who lost a wedding ring."
Now there's a terrifying thought... a proctologist who doesn't wear gloves.
How do you know if it's true love with a proctologist? The gloves come off.
I got yelled at for laughing too loud at the "why aren't pants pockets shaped like gloves" bit. God I love these videos.
I love nudibranchs and now I love them even more. Beautiful and hilarious narration born from a deep empathy for the sea and it's little slug bebes.
Nidubranch are basically what I'm always looking for when scuba diving. I've encountered most of these. Phillipines is nudibranch central.
"It strikes like a proctologist who lost his wedding ring"
I'm dead
I learned about these in my biology class, I'm glad they got exposure on this channel.
I like to think that there's a university class somewhere that introduces each genus with a True Facts video.
Do you have any idea how much I lament that I, as an elementary science teacher, do not have a PG version that I can use?
In Vet Tech program and can confirm that this is exactly what happens 🤌🏼💋✨
My highschool teacher did show us one true facts video, we had to promise not to tell any other staff hahaha
This absolutely happens. I have witnessed it.
I was introduced to this channel in exactly that way hahaha. Accurate, cites sources, funny as hell 👌
“This is the yoga pose they teach you when you arrive in hell” 🤣🤣🤣🤣 ...my sides hurt so much!
Well stop doing that pose then or else you'll wind up with your nose inside out.
A colourblind machinist in a skittles factory. Who thinks of this stuff? Hilarious AND informative.
“If I had that kind of luggage I’d pack it myself” the Internet has not made me bust out laughing like that in a LONG time I DID NOT see that coming lmfao
I saw my first nudibranch diving yesterday. I thought, lets get so info on them. Saw this video an darn near popped a gasket! The weird thing is I actually learned a lot. The BBC should hire this guy.
"This one is perfectly camouflaged as an old man with his hands behind his back, inspecting his garden"
That is the perfect description of that nudie, I'm very impressed haha
@RoselynPlayz "heh, that's a dad joke"
100% agree XD
Pp
Dani 🤣🤣🤣🤣❤️
@Ka the Snobby Cat 0:00
i'm not sure but i think your fried is crawling off of your plate
I am a diving instructor so this is great stuff to tell my student when they ask about nudibranks thanks 😊
Beautiful and amazing creatures. I had no clue that they even existed. I love that I now know. I learn a lot from these videos ... thank you!
“Specifically, and by specifically, I mean specifically, and by and by I mean and by”
I’m gonna be using this as often as possible
OMG..I love this guy!!! Wish he had been my biology teacher!!! A real gift!!!👍💜👊
“It strikes with the vigor of a proctologist who lost a wedding ring.”
Never change Mr. ZeFrank, never stop being you.
That was one of my favorite lines!
Best line ever
i needed this, a classic zefrank video, hilarious and educational
One fist proctologist
Oh god, trying not to visuailize. Equally poetic and gross.
7:38 almost 2 years later, countless quotes to my SO, and annoying my friends with this. Still gets a genuine laugh from the delivery of "it's cuter than puppies"
you're a blessing mr frank.
Oh my god… the narrator is an absolute treat 😂 Also, I love Nudibranchs-
I think they are freakishly gorgeous!!
❤️🔥💗🧡💛💚💙💜🖤🤍🤎
Guys, I was looking for informations and documentaries about nudibranchs. Ended up discovering the best YT channel ever !!!
I immediately called my boyfriend, we laughed so hard ! Man you're a f**kin' genius, seriously I never expected to find this 🤣 moreover I'm french and I never had this kind of recommendations before ! We love you @zefrank1 🐡🦠 (there's no nudibranchs emoji)
"I know what you're thinking, if I had that kind of luggage I'd pack it myself"
lost ALL my shit!
"that one looks like a Pikachu got busy with a Swiffer"
If all narration was like this, everyone would know a lot more about nature xD
@Adam ??? Or just a gastrodon
Spitting facts
But actually it's Gastrodon
I came back to rewatch this and saw a buhGILLion likes :o
That struck me like a proctologer who lost a wedding ring!
Facts!
"Unsnailed snail" - Great description, lol.
Best narrator ever always has me laughing ❤️🇬🇧
These are the cutest things ever, I've always thought slugs and snails were cute. I used to have a snail farm and they would breed like crazy, I remember I had up to 1300 in one giant 5×3 tank
Wow. These are so cool and beautiful! They come in so many different varieties too. It's a shame they can't see how beautiful they are.
Also it was really interesting to see that one using the plastic bottle as protection. I'm not saying we should continue to litter the oceans, but it's good to see them sometimes putting all that litter to good use.
The old man with his hands behind his back actually made me laugh pretty hard
When I saw it it looked so cute
had me laugh hard too hahaha
You beat many to it.
That was hilarious 😂
Yo me too. I woke the whole house up.
"They can only see light and dark, so the nudibranch will never be able to appreciate the beauty of its own decoration". That made me think of Beethoven not being able to hear his own compositions.
“It strikes with the vigour of a proctologist who lost a wedding ring.”
Dirty dirty proctologists.
"Floppy floppy spiky things called Cerata"
My brain 5 seconds later: did he say Sriracha??
Give me a break. Im half asleep rn
Spicy slug. Especially after they've eaten the stingers from a man-o-war.
U. Are. Utterly. BRILLIANT! My brother and I found u a few years ago. We have a reef aquarium and found ur squid video, which lead us to the rest of the videos. We were heartbroken when we saw u weren't making videos for a while. Recently we learned u returned with ur fantastic hilarious educational videos! We absolutely love u, I think ur brilliant, thanks for making my night!!!
"Get out of that shell and untwist. Who knows what kind of crazy beautiful thing you might become?" Y'know, that's not bad life advice.
not against evil
@Anne Bruecks That's just how Zefrank1 do.
I love when he hits you with beautiful life advice after the hilariousity and learning!
WOOOOOW😂 This guy's hilarious....disturbed but hilarious!.....so glad I bumped into this!!
If full length documentaries had this many jokes with such a calm voice I would absolutely spend upwards of $50 per movie to watch them.
Yup
"Thousands of little eggs that will become thousands of little behbehs, ..."
Which would have been cool if you ended with, "...almost all of which will become snacks for behbeh feesh."
I couldn't stop laughing at your humorous but amazing teachings
I must say that this was the best thing to see
Thankyou for sharing your information with laughing 😃
I nearly died at the "old man with his hands behind his back inspecting his garden!" And it was spot on too!
We better stay off his lawn lol!
😂
It was absolutely perfect! And heccin! ;)
@j p h e c c
@j p yes !
I don’t think I have laughed tears during such show, until now lol. The narrator is friggen hilarious!
Me expecting an educational video about sea slugs: "Oh boy I can't wait to learn about my favorite sea creatures!"
Him: "or like a porcupine rolled around in candy corn."
Me: "I have found something that far surpasses my expectations."
I love these videos - they're super funny, and v educational. I do have a hard time finding the animals sometimes, though - like the 'cuter than puppies' one, which /was/ very cute! I wanted to look up more about it, but I couldn't figure out how to spell its name, which has been a difficulty I've had a few times after watching these videos- the make me want to learn more, but phonetic spelling isn't my strong suit. If there could be a list of the animal names in the description, or in the subtitles, that would be really amazing. Thanks for making these great videos!
If you're still interested, he said 'sacoglossan sea slug'.
Damn right they're cuter than puppies.
A few years ago I found hundreds of these washed up on a beach after a storm tiny little neon blue ones all over the place looked a bit alien
My dad bought a nudibranch for my sister's aquarium once, not knowing that there was a difference between a nudibranch and, y'know, "tank cleaners." It slowly ate its way through half of my sister's fish before she was finally able to convince my dad that the slug was eating everything, they weren't just getting sucked up into the pump. Gave my sister nightmares for weeks.
I was going to share this with my 2nd graders but after hearing this guy, I figured it best to not share it with them but with some of my friends so we could giggle over it!
"now i know what you're thinking: 'if i had that kinda luggage i'd pack it myself'"
correct, sir.
"You thought they were cows!" 😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 love the narrator, more shows like this one please.
So cleverly, and hilariously, written.
“S c a r y c l o w n s a y s g o a w a y.”
Dude, it’s past 1 AM here, don’t hit me with that kind of comedy. I’ll wake up my whole house.
LoL 1:20am here ....and I am rolling
6:30 ur welcome
2:26am and glad I live alone, scary clown caught me off guard
Exact same time! Holy cow.
😭😭😭😭😂😂😂😂
If I'm not mistaken, this is the same voiceover guy from the "Dear Kitten" series, and I am so happy to hear him again 🤣
I had a friend who lived way, way out on the edge of town in a cul-de-sac. Turns out it was built as a Nudibranch colony and some of them still lived there. It was 50/50 regular humans and nudibranches, living side by side.
One of the few examples of the "sea" version of a thing being universally cuter and less unsettling than its "land" variant. Frankly, if I was a land slug I'd be pissed about the obvious favouritism.
Given current events, I might just be cracking up, but “sneezing in space” made me laugh so hard I almost choked. Instant subscribe!
“And yes, that one does look like a pickachu that got it on with a swiffer...” 🤣🤣🤣
What’s up Zefrank. Glad you are continuing these “True Facts” episodes. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
3:42
Please keep these up, true facts is the shit!!!
@Pandacat 666 Best of luck Pandacat! sending good vibes your way. It sucks now, but it'll be over one day. You got this
@zefrank1 I have a patreon as well, I'll check your's out and follow. 👍🏻
Also, just want to say, I watched your Ted Talks videos about 2 years ago, and they were very inspiring to helping me persevere when I was going through a REALLY rough patch in life. Thank you. 👍🏻
that line is from a comment left by Patreon supporter Sydney Brown! It's a pretty great community of people :)
Imagine being the first marine biologist to study these amazingly weird little creatures.
perfect commentary. very educational while still appealing to gen z humor. i want to see more videos like this shown in school.
Watched a few of your videos and this is so far my favorite. It's just packed with awesomeness!
Bwaaaaahaha you made my day. This is hillarious. Imagine having this guy in biology as a kid
"Every time you ask 'Why?, evolution adds or removes a nipple from a cat."
You are a genius, sir
@Yerghaiz Verot No wonder he's crying... Sounds painful.
@blackwingrose Potentially, you have created just as many cat nipples. Kind if a sliding scale between a positive and negative amount of nipples, really. The interesting bit here, is that we have stumbled upon Shrodinger's Cat's Nipples, wherein, you have both added and removed a nipple. But not just from a single cat. What we have is a superpositional state of nipples and cats, where, until observed, you have added and removed all nipples from all cats.
It's really no wonder why it appears to us that they have seemingly random amounts of nipples...The count is in a constant state of quantum flux...after all, how much time is *really* spent observing cat nipples?
I've destroyed so many cat nipples in my life....
@Mahdi Mustafa It's a variation of an old joke, maybe started in "It's A Wonderful Life," where we learn that every time you hear a bell ring, an angel gets its wings. Another variation is "Every time you lie, baby Jesus cries." That's something fundamentalist Christians need to hear a lot more, because it's not a joke. It's true. Hey, at least baby Jesus doesn't get nipples added or removed.
Muito interessante ...se tivesse legenda em português seria melhor. Ainda mais
Simultaneously very informative and hysterically funny. Bravo!
These videos you make Frank are both funny and very educating. Thank you!
Dude. I haven’t laughed this hard in a long time. This video is amazing!
“This is the first yoga pose they teach you when you arrive in Hell.”
Be honest with me. How many take did you need before you could deliver that line with a straight face?
There are a lot of lines where you can hear him laughing as he delivers them. I don't think he cares that much about keeping a straight face.
That had me dying.
I was listening like, hm they do that in yoga class of.... hell hahahahahahahaja
LOL I still can’t do it
I'm in public had to pause the video at that point couldn't handle myself anymore lmao
This series is at least in the top 3 of nature vids that are informative and HILARIOUS!
Somehow these videos soothe me 🤷♀️ they are so funny and so informative. 🤷♀️
Narrator has first class skills. People would take complex subjects like this more often if instructors learned how to lighten it up.
you saved me! tense day, after 20 minutes of your videos i am healed and ready to go again!!! thanks ze
Me: is this another type of slug?
Zefrank: *yesn't*
somekind of snail that got freaky whit a slug
@araeshkigal that was so smart I lost some brain cells, maybe I'm dumb idk
Heh...technically this is another type of mollusk that is separate from both slugs (who never have a shell at any point in their life cycle) and snails (who have shells for their entire life cycle, and instantly die without them). As stated in the video, these guys are born with shells then get rid of said shells. However, because science is never settled and is actually inconsistent a.f., you will find all sorts of scholarly resources that still refer to these critters as "sea slugs."
Lol
Eomer Simbajon interestingly, what we cal, slugs evolved independently s few times from different groups of snails
It's so fun to watch your channel. I love your own sound effects. lol
