I Bought the First Broken Nintendo Switch Lite on eBay - Let's Fix it!

  • I Bought the First Broken Nintendo Switch Lite on eBay - Let's Fix it! I paid $172 for a Switch Lite that the seller said had a non-working D Pad. When I tested the Switch Lite the D Pad seemed to work fine but I did notice what looked like liquid damage. After taking it apart and giving it a good cleaning the Switch Lite is working great and looks like new.

This isn't a broken switch. The Dpads are just really bad and ignore diagonal inputs from the factory. I returned two lites before I gave up on it.

      John LoBo 4 days ago

Test this with a fighting game. Try to throw some fireballs. Try to walk diagonally on A Link to the Past or any top down perspective game for that matter and you'll see that the dpad just won't move diagonally unless you're pressing very hard on to get both pads to touch the contacts at once.

Is it me or was it not broken at all? Nothing was wrong with it then even more wasn't wrong with it. I don't get it.

I recently got a Nintendo switch lite and was wondering if you could possibly do a video on how to do a custom shell replacement! I think it would be really cool to learn how to do so and have had no luck with videos about the switch lite thus far.

you cannot try the diagonals in the console menu and also in mario kart.
the diagonals fail mainly in fighting games, it is in them that when wanting to make quarter turn to the right they fail, due to the placement of the screws that tighten the base plate only that diagonal usually fails. If it is too tight, they can all fail. All you have to do to fix it is to tighten the screws less

  • CukojinGAMES
    CukojinGAMES 6 days ago

There is no problem with the components regarding the failure of the diagonals, it is simply that the dpad are very tight with the base plate and the screws. The ones that have been little tight works well

"I'm gonna keep the volume down... "
Nintendo no longer copyright scans for game footage audio as long as the footage is used for transformative content. You're analysing the condition of a Switch Lite. That counts as such content. You'd have been fine.
