Wait!....is that last shot of what seems like Palpatine (sitting and looming over Rey) really DARK REY? A clone he makes to fight her in the end?

If you take a closer look at that "glacier" it would seem a lot more apparent that it is actually a star destroyer cloaked in ice, which would also explain the scene of the star destroyer crashing out of the ice! And might also be in some way the star destroyer we see charging into a different direction from the other star destroyers.

Look close. Doubt it's a training session, helmet drop plus you see a laser bolt going for a head shot, that Rey deflects.

I bet Palpatine is in the movie only as a dark side force ghost attached to Vader’s helmet and possesses Ren. That’s how lame Dan and Dave will have made this movie. I will watch it anyway

A New Hope has Vader stating "disintegrate the ship." So I'd have to assume that Leia found another CR-90 or derivative and made it look like the older ship. This might also be the CR-90/CR-90 relative shown in Resistance.

In the resistance fleet one of the ships looks like a republic Jedi cruiser

It’s also worth noting that the Star Destroyers in the trailer have the X design above the bridge, which is something that was done away with for the models in Empire and Jedi. It probably implies that this is something Palpatine orchestrated way before the beginning of the original trilogy.

I don't think Kylo and Rey are destroying the artifact together. If you slow down the trailer, it looks like Rey is destroying it on her own while Kylo's lightsaber doesn't actually make contact.

I have not looked into this movie at all so this might be a theory already out there...But I think Palpatine is referring to the first order and the resistance joining forces. I think the old empire is going to come back and fight both of them.

I didn't read all the comments, so pardon me if this has already been noted/suggested. My thoughts of the fist shots of the trailer with the forest backdrop is of a throwback (a look into the past) of Luke training either Leia or 'Mara Jade' (I can only hope) after the events of ROTJ. Both of which could factor in the connection noted in the transition from the forest backdrop to what appears to be Rey on the detroyed death star. If you look at the person running through the forest, she has a lot of hair bunned/tied at the back of her head. We have never seen Rey with so much hair, yet Leia had a full head of hair during ROTJ.

Following her experience on the Death Star, Rey returns to the island on Ahch-to. Throughout
the course of the film she has given in to her aggression, nearly killed her friend by unleashing a
stream of lightning on a ship, learned that she is the descendant of the Sith Lord who reduced
the Jedi to numbers that they have yet to recover from even half a century later, saw a vision of
herself as a servant of darkness and stabbed her enemy through the chest in anger. Her most
recent encounter with Kylo was the last straw and Rey has now made the decision to follow the
example set by Luke and exile herself on the island where the Jedi began. Rey scuttles the ship
she stole from Kylo and throws the repaired lightsaber originally constructed by Anakin
Skywalker in after it. The ghost of Luke Skywalker appears to Rey, holding the weapon she just
discarded. Luke’s conversation with Rey is said to be encouraging yet realistically grim in tone.
Luke knows first hand what it’s like to face Palpatine and that it’s not an easy task. Rey must
confront Palpatine in the same way that Luke once had to confront Vader. Luke encourages
Rey by telling her of the faith Leia had in her. She saw the potential within her and hoped that
Rey would be able to restore balance to the Force once more just as Anakin once did. Rey
supposedly asks to speak to Leia at one point, but Luke responds by telling her that Leia has
not yet completed her training and he can not yet feel her distinctive consciousness within the

I dont think Rey and Kylo were working together...he seems to pull his lightsaber towards himself where as she brings hers all the way through.

there’s no way I spending money to see this.... no knights of ren?! Horses, with a cavalry charge, in space, what happened to speeder bikes?! There are so many parts to this trailer that make no sense whatsoever from a story telling standpoint within this so called trilogy..... What a mess.... And what a shame.

Sometimes you seem so miss informed! In this one it's quite a bit! I guess maybe thats why I haven't subbed yet! You stated maybe the pieces of the Deathstar got blown to it. really? Not everything in the movie is going to be specifically about the Deathstar & you have to be led there. Thats where Lando comes in whos on Possana, though he won't go with them at first. Pretty sure Fiin uses the binoculars on possana & you stated viewing Rey's progress while in a water speeder on another planet! I might be wrong but on that but if I'm not then I say I sit with the pretty girl & you do producer things, but I don't have the voice you do (though it's better for some reason when your not on camera)

I am so not excited for this movie. The visuals look great but that’s it, WTF is the plot of this film? When did C-3PO make friends with the new characters, aka shallow place holders? So Disney, kill off the last of the OT characters, Chewy, R-2, Lando, so Lucas, can get $0, in royalties, from now on. Let’s throw out plot, and logic out the window, for a great background footage and loads of ships in space. Let’s also have a charge of space horses verse high tech weapons of the 1st order, the Rebels will win for sure. Then add the rebels fighting in literal space on top of a smooth surface, if it looks good, no one will ask, how the hell are they breathing? much less, how are they going to not floating off into space? There’s so much f#%* about this trailer. I have a bad feeling about this movie.

With how things were turning out between Kylo and Hux in TLJ I sure bet General Hux will turn out to be a mole working for the Resistance in one way or another in the upcoming movie.
