- Freshwater Frogfish really exist. Not a lot is known about these fish - Antennarius biocellatus Even google searches usually turn up more information on their marine cousins. But Segrest Farms, a fish and pet wholesaler had one one display at the 2017 Global Pet Expo. John took the opportunity to get some great video of the fish and interview Dave Parks with Segrest Farms to find out how to keep it in the home aquarium and more about its life in the wild.

+RaptorPlayzGames RPG have your local fish store order from Segrest Farms. They most likely have a relationship with them.
I'm not sure. If you have a local fish shop they likely have a relationship with Segrest Farms. I would have them order that way.
I've seen an albino freshwater frog fish for over $10,000 at my lfs once. I don't think anyone bought it.
In phillipines there are many cool specie of frogfish and i also see albino
Yeah, that's a shame, I could understand maybe $1,000 but who has 10k for a fish at your LFS, lol. Hope it didn't die..
Could it go in a Tannin Tank?
Do you know of anywhere they can ship them to you
We have red, yellow variants here in the wild
@fincasters brackishishh
Are they in brackish or fresh water?
Im getting 3 frogfishs. any tips or websites? Cant seem to find anything about them
I noticed there wasn't much about them. Sorry I don't have more options for you. Are you getting fresh water or SW frogs?
That's a saltwater fish that has been acclimated to freshwater
Everything on the net about antennarius biocellatus says it's heavy brakish and not freshwater.
Still waiting for that freshwater octopus waiting to be found
I need one now
What's the species? I'm skeptical lol
Caught them in the River Gambia
Wow mind blown
How would I get my hands on one of those beauties
I have a fresh water frogfish
I came here because of a grey duck reaction video....🙃
need a shot of the fish ''in situ'' - i.e. in a freshwater home environment - NOT an aquarium. Please?
Wish I had such a pic. I captured this video at an industry trade show
I never knew and now I need
I ever kept some frogfish.. they dying after 3 months top...
Why does every info site list this as brackish instead of fresh?
Because it is brackish
Its probably brackish he can tolerate salt
heavy brackish water * not freshwater
@Kenjiro pipefish are found in brackish and freshwater in the wild though. There are different types
neko I guess the same goes for the pipe fish huh?
yep... and they will live an unhappy live and die early
They are trying to make it completely fresh water right?
FYI another video with weird sound of you wear headphones you only hear out one channel (left)
John Ahlbin there wasn't any problems with the advertisement at the beginning or music at the end. So it was probably a bad microphone they were using. I heard the same thing
