I started reading this book at a friend's house one night. Politely excused myself, went to Barnes And Noble that same night, bought a copy and spent all night reading it. No regrets.
@mm I didn’t think of that when the shelves were empty… 😄👍
I did a very similar thing, it's been so difficult getting toilet paper during Covid lockdowns in recent years.
@Charlotte Olbrisch No… Hawaii is an example of this… and the line of suspected past hot spots tracing behind Hawaii with the gradual tectonic plate movement.
Lol
@David Podesta Hot spots doesnt have to be near the edge of the plate....
This is beautifully written, wonderfully read, factually verified and easily understood. While it is lengthy the time spent listening flies. Thank you for presenting it and the rest that make up its entirety
@Douglas Raddi yeah hurr
@JPO no waaay. Really!
@Douglas Raddi everything that he presents as factual is in fact factual.
Factually verified? Do you look up those?
Thank you for uploading this book. I love how graham narrated himself.
It's not the complete book
Yes. . His talents are endless. Who'd have guessed he could read ? ?
... an amazing and thought provoking book - extremely enjoyable listening ... thank you for uploading!
Read by the author. Tremendous. Always better that way. He knew what he was trying to convey. And conveys it perfectly. Enjoy.
Thank you for this book. This world is for more magical than anyone ever talks about.
I came across Graham in the 90s in my DND studies. Where I discovered some of the old maps. I'm so glad it and he withstood all forms of critique and ridicule. Integrity is so important Graham has maintained his for 25 years.
DND? Dungeons and dragons?
@2msvalkyrie lol why does he not have integrity
Graham Hancock and " integrity " in the same sentence ? !?
Not something you see every day...
Just bought this book. Wouldn't have without listening to this audio book!
Will need a soft rainy day now...
Thank you Graham Hanckock what a pleasure to listen to you, sounds like Verocohcia was a group of men on a mission to re-civilise the world after a cataclysm.
It’s been so wonderful hearing the book by Mr. Graham himself. I will order the book because one got to have it.
Love the rain in the background 😊 makes me all cosy and warm curled up by the fire listening with a wee glass of wine 🍷
@Jason Scott 😂😂
I read it as glass of wee at first 😂
But he is from Britain. There is raining often. Just a taught...
@Perer Addison I'm quite an experienced producer and can say with certainty that this a recording of rain added. This is not tape noise or audio artefacts due to noise reduction.
@Third Eye Open TEO. You are correct. That background rain sound was referred to as Tape Hiss. Then Dolby A and B noise reduction filters were invented to deal with that. But, to my ears, was really only a treble reduction switch, and basically a useless value adding device to trick snobby audiofiles into paying out a bit more money.for a uselessly jazzed up cassette player
This book should go into time capsules, vacuum sealed, for future civilizations to find.
@2msvalkyrie lmao you must live a sad life
@2msvalkyrie you’re one of those the establishment will never lie to us types?
Yeah ! To prove how gullible we were ! Future generations will think WTF !!.....were they really THAT stupid .?
@Testa Dicondominio Sharpwit!
Excellent idea 💡
Thanks for the upload. I read this read around 20 years old, great to revisit it after absorbing hours of Carlsons more recent lectures
Indeed!
I've been reading this book for almost 11/2 years and I just can't get through with it. Every time I check randomly parts I've already read, I find information that has gone unnoticed. It's a masterpiece for truth seekers.
@Nathan Berry Hear you, Nat. Too bad I won’t be around that long ! Cheers, mate !
@Nathan Berry
You: "And in a few decades or centuries 'established' scientists will write papers endorsing these ideas and people like you will do what they have always done and be amazed all while dismissing people like Hancock.
Me: In a few months or years, you could escape the personality cult you're trapped inside of. It just takes the courage to examine the evidence.
@David Leo Morley And in a few decades or centuries 'established' scientists will write papers endorsing these ideas and people like you will do what they have always done and be amazed all while dismissing people like Hancock.
There is alot to learn from you and we Thank You for sharing your knowledge with us sir !
I read this book 23 or 24 yrs ago while I was in prison. Changed the course of my life. Thank You Graham! Your book made my 5yrs of incarceration bearable
Then you ain’t black’s
@George Glen Aha! Thanks
@Dave Powell murdered his English teacher. Got a Long sentence and made the best of it😂
5years for one book? Curious as speed reading isn't illegal
I bought this book when it came out. It was and still is so interesting
Regardless of people's opinions of Rogan there is nobody with a platform as big as his, willing to have people with wild ideas on to discuss them. He may be many things but at least he's open to new information. Gives everyone a fair shot to make their case. The Hancock episode is my favourite. Amazon cities, people with the same unchanged dna as aboriginals. CRAZY
@Bob Jary who wants to rely on scientists when we have people who write fantasy novels
@Reece d nice to see you don't just believe everything he says, people are surprisingly invested in this guy
@mrichar9 yes I just returned from travelling and studying the scientifics, so your assumption couldn't be more incorrect my friend
@C I have been too busy getting vitamin D from the sunlight, I agree with whatever you think
Graham just friggin kills it narrating his work. I love listening to his lectures.
Also, I love the way he pronounces words like “shaman” or “herb” and “controversy”
@ David Lee. Boooooom🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻 *fred Flintstone style*. “Wiiiiiiil-Maaaaaah”. Damn, any husbands out there lmao😂

3:43:58 Chalula "the making of the Great Ziggurat"
3:46:25 Tower of Bable from The Book of Genesis
@Kelly McManus lol
@Mike Ferguson wow.
You didn't waste any time going straight to idiot!
Congratulations Mike.
You will forgive the tower of babel as the book of genesis describes it isn’t what you think and if you do think that your very confused as to the Sacred Nature of the World and the Cyclical system of human activity that ‘takes possession of the World under god ……’ every time.
How gay.
I bought thsi on a whim I was struggling for a decent read .........omg now I am at max speed and have more questions about the origins of humanity than I could ever have had on my own volition Thankyou Graham for the ignition ....this is unbelievably inspiring I now have a theory myself
@Ben Jammin where's all this water going down hill all the time?
@Ben Jammin why doesn't the moon appear just like the stars?
@Ben Jammin what causes the tides and waves on our flat earth 🌎?
@Steven Thompson it's hard to argue about evolution when some people still act like apes.
@Steven Thompson I guess you have it all figured out :) If you can please demonstrate your evidence of water curving at its surface, that would really end the discussion entirely. I'll wait patiently!
A masterpiece 👍🏻
Love Gram. I have always believed in an older civilization that's been lost to time. Gram is the first I encountered saying it publicly.
I put this on before bed each night 🌃
Thank you
PS. Still need this book!
Ever night, as well.
me too...and go back to the same minute the next night cuz I can't recall anything.
@Emerson get the audible version and go for a long drive its amazing
Shitttt I do this to.
Lol…me too, except I only progress about 10 minutes a night because I fall asleep!
I’ve read it twice and now keep the audio on while in my hotel to keep reflecting on this wonderful journey to enlightenment
Even if I get to listen to all of it I will still buy the book. It's great stuff and they gave him such a crap time for his efforts.
@Matthew Holman elaborate?
@travelerInBlack This is either a god tier bait comment or you are actually a limited person
Love the rain background. Makes the story even better. 👍🏼
I've always wondered what knowledge is hiding from the populace in the Vatican library? I really think there are many answers to the questions in this book hiding there.
Theres probably a reson why they wont let people in..
Amazing!! Thanks for uploading.
I'm reminded of a lengthy presentation of unexplained material on TheXvid about 10 years ago. Items found allover the World. In caves. In the ground. Under the oceans. It was suspiciously removed.
The rain in the background is perfect. Really sets the mood.
Just wondering if there's a greater link between Viracocha "Foam of the Sea" and the Christian Fish symbol? Something to ponder and keep in mind with further study.
The hand placement on the MOA on Easter Island on the stomach & as seen on some of the large T-stones in Gobleki Tepi indicates the optimum placement of the hands🤲 on the body to maximize the kundalini energies potential during meditation🧘♂️, "at that time" in our spiritual evolutionary trajectory,which is cylical.
I can't help but think Antarctica was Atlantis or very closely tied to it?
Great book and even better narrated by the author.
Thank you GH!
@r m Nope.
listening to this i feel like im in a victorian cottage listening to an old adventurous scholar telling his stories by a warm fire one evening in the autumn in the english country side
Has anyone ever imposed the constellation of Orion over the pyramids, lining up the belt stars, using pi to encircle the globe and find where the other stars line up? His arrow 🏹 will point the way!
Is there rain in the background or is it just white noise? Either way, very relaxing and interesting, thank you!
@Perer Addison it's added to fool the algorithm.
@Perer Addison how sure are you about that?
... that rainy sound is cassette Tape-Hiss, picked up by the recording head as the magnetic tape must pass over it in order to record. Friction and pressure causes drag as the tape flows across the head from reel to reel. Dubbing from analogue to digital is picking up that white noise fault that can be digitally masked out and elimated but was not seen as too much of a problem ...
Amen..very soothing
Yup, rain. If you listen with headphones, it's very prominent.
Thank you very much!
The rain is PERFECT
This is super cozy
Good job GH
I love the rain track
In the background
Very satisfying and relaxing
Great idea
Thanks so much
@Rumplestiltskin ... Annoyingly Greatfull. Isn't that some kind of Ocymoronicality-?
@GuitarUniverse2013
It was recorded in his car.
Yeah , its definitely a plus for me, and it's just so subtle to not be encroaching upon the material.
It's the sound of Hancock pissing all over established theories that the pride of archaeologists or historians prevents them from genuinely revisiting. This pride to protect one's life's work is so devastating to the development of our knowledge.
yeah, i agree. at first i thought it was raining outside my house. after reading these comments i don't know, did Hancock record in the rain? did Hancock use a rain track? or was the raintrack added after? i don't know but i like it. very relaxing and more authors should do it
I finally found an answer to my insomnia! I also think my cat is in a coma from overhearing this book. I agree that there may have been a prior civilization during and through the last ice age (Gobekli tepe comes to mind 12K years ago) but this book doesn't really do anything but speculate. When he pulled the alien out of the closet, I was done! Show me the aliens!!! 👽👽👽
I think the term alien is used wrong..perhaps they are super terrestrial meaning they are still here but are very reluctant to make themselves known much like in the movie midnight special
Here's a good question:
Could the "Eye of the Sahara", be the prime maridium of the Perry Riece maps?
Great upload, I subscribed. I'm not a great reader unless they are legal documents so these audio uploads are greatly appreciated. Thankyou.
New Challenge: Take a full dose of edibles, then double said amount, then put on headphones and close your eyes and listen to this book in it's entirety.
Thanks but I'd rather avoid the risk of recurring psychotic episodes and memory loss .
I appreciate the added rainfall effect. Was this in the original recording?
Yes, apparently Graham recorded this stuck in his broken down car?
Finding Atlantis is a new series on Discovery Channel. Pretty cool, you can see old settlements they're finding along the way. Beautiful scenery.
I believe you’re thinking of Hunting Atlantis, Finding Atlantis came out 10 years ago. Hunting Atlantis was mostly “discoveries” that had already been made, that pointed toward Atlantis according to Stel Pavlou -a speculative fiction novelist’s timeline. It was the epitome of forcing a puzzle piece to fit. The way they cut off and spoke over the people that literally know more about the sites that they went to than anyone else on the planet I found very disrespectful.
Graham Hancock has purposely strayed away from outright saying the word Atlantis (although i think he has a few times). He’s speaking more on the logic that the world’s population was connected much earlier than we “know” today.
I cant read more than a few pages because I get lazy eye and feel sleepy. Audiobooks is a godsend for me.
I’m gna tell my children the movie 2012 was a documentary and I lived through it
Thank you and well done.
Just so good, first time, and every time!
Thanks, always wanted to read this book.
Graham Hancock is open about his use of psychedelics. Set the playback speed to .25% and you can trip along with him. Makes for a long podcast though.
Holy trip man
This book is Awesome
He has refined information in later books as better info became available.
Great book 📙
I've got and read the book but this will be useful to listen too in bed. Thanks 👍
Interesting, I thought the same but the pace is too fast if you're hoping for relaxation
If you check out this reviews of this on audible then you'll see the opposite of what you'll see here. Most people hate his narration and can't follow it. I wonder why there's such a disconnect between here and there.
Barnes and Nobles is amazing a massive book collection I love going to the one in Cary best one around
if anyone could post time stamps that would be much appreciated i always fall asleep listening to this
Click the three white buttons in the upper right corner hit the loop button and let it continually play over and over again
I was just about to say the same thing 🙂👍
Just wanna shout out Joe rogan for introducing me to this gem
Wonderful channel!! Thank you! SUBSCRIBED!
Great to sleep to too. So good.
The ancient alien theorists say YES
Lol!
Hahaha 💃🏽 🕺
Chapter 18 4:21:07
What a guy our Graham is.
I feel like this ancient civilization theory fits with Terrence McKenna’s stones ape theory.
Omg amazing! Thanks for this.
Thought provoking & inspirational. I look forward to visiting the pyramids & Maccu Piccu
The sound of rainfall in the background is distracting, but it's a fascinating text. Thanks for uploading👌
He was a guest on Art Bell's show!!!😁
thank you for posting this Jay
Definitely laying dwn enjoying this audiobook ☺😊
Ditto🥰
Chapter 15 3:32:52
Thank you sir
Read in 1997. Great read.
If you like this please support Graham Hancock…… and Randall Carlson these 2 complement each other in there researches so darn well.
👎👎👎
💯
This is great Thanks
Omg, this is amazing with the rain the background.
Thank you thank you thank you, I love this gentleman's science. I do not understand why he gets harassed!?!
Because scientists hate What If...? scenarios. Unless it can be proved you should keep your theories to yourself. Unfortunately, they fail to understand that imagination is vital in the beginning stages of uncovering truth.
Most vikings were farmers, I don't think its a massive stretch of the imagenation for a party of them to be blown of course and end up in South America.
It makes sense that the sons of Noah should be master shipbuilders and navigators, since their father built the Ark.
Personal bookmark 1:51:00
I forgot what I was listening to and thought, for half a minute, that I was listening to a Lovecraft audiobook
This is awesome
I am only coming across this material but solidifies all my visions I have had with ayahuasca and the cities I have seen. Graham’s work validates so much of these visions and makes sense now. Thank you for this!
@Richard Conner Thank you for the explanation of AMIRT and I completely agree with all of this!
Could listen again and again ✌️🇮🇪😎
pp
@Chris Weidner is pretty I don’t know pis good I oI pov
P the best p pop P the farm o
Opening p Op
Funny how when wearing headphones the rain is very prominent, car stereo, can hardly hear it.
@Josh Morales
It was recorded in his car.
@Josh Morales thank you. Very good explanation.
It’s the compression in the rain audio track which was added over the audiobook recording. I would imagine even if it’s been duplicated a few times to reach the 6 hr run time it’s probably a hefty file size.
Tire noise might mask it.
The rain noise in the background is a fantastic idea
😇 Was kinda hoping for a Mountains of Madness sequel 😇
Amazing thank you
I love you for posting this TYSM
Thanks for the upload brother 🇮🇪❤️
🇮🇪☘️
amazing isn't it! 🇮🇪
This would be 100% if it had pictures while he talked,like the maps.
yeah, but then you'd see it doesn't look anything like the coast of Antarctica, is in the wrong place, and is part of south america.
Exactly..I seen a video from Robert Sepher great information with great video.
@Amy Hargraves pictures are in the book 👍
Watch one of the multiple times he and Randell Carleson have been on joe rogans podcast. Pictures and all, it's amazing 👏
Like in Graham's presentations! That would be sweet🤩
Awesome book! Ty 😁
Wow! Brilliant. Thank you for sharing.
The only draw back is lack of related pictures
Great work though
That's why its called an AUDIO-book that means just sound. No visuals
What about the numbers of preccsession part anyone have a timestamp?
Thanks dude!
One word, amazing
Genius
Chapter 3: 38.23
The rain makes this soo much better
