  • Boris Johnson and Jeremy Hunt have clashed in their final debate of the Tory leadership campaign held at The Sun HQ. As both men put forward their plans for Brexit they faced a series of tough questions.
In a departure from the usual format, towards the end of the debate, the candidates were subjected to a quick-fire quiz

In one of the biggest talking points of the night, both candidates were asked if they would be ready to call a General Election before October 31st?
    www.thesun.co.uk/news/9512473/sun-debate-boris-johnson-jeremy-hunt-brexit/
Elsewhere Boris Johnson was accused of “betraying” the Brexit vote after failing to commit to cutting sky-high net migration if he becomes Prime Minister. In an astonishing move, the former Vote Leave champion refused to say he would bring numbers down if he replaces Theresa May.

BORIS Johnson furiously condemned Donald Trump race row tweets - branding them “totally unacceptable.” The US President sparked uproar by telling four ethnic minority US congresswomen to “go back” to the “crime infested places from which they came”.

Boris is a disgrace, he never answers a simple question! Let the country to go to an immediate vote, he will lose! If he is the next prime minister I am going to vote Libs, this guy is just out for himself, not the country check his sketchy past out! he swings whichever the wind blows, has NO back bone against the US, does not support TOP diplomats, which means he supports NO ONE but himself, he is a weak, very WEAK and shameful candidate for the UK!

Do you think May is stopped? Maybe? But May´s plan b is plan a and Boris and Hunt have only two options: plan b or plan a. Tragedy for Britain. But Boris and Hunt are the opinions they have the other option: plan a or plan b. What chaos and disaster if the clowns take over. This is the end - the end of Britain! Britain is retarded.

Some viewers are missing the underlying message. Here are two opponents competing for UK's top job and behaving civilly and with good humour. Actually, they seem to be having a little fun under great stress. THAT is what distinguishes British democracy from other democracies. Attlee and Churchill also went at it hammer and tongs in the House, and treated each other civilly when outside the chamber. This is not the clown act that some commenters claim, but the way serious public business is conducted among civilized people with opposing beliefs.

Brexit is happening so this country can support the failing US empire 🤫 they are bankrupt ~ their bubble is bigger than in 2008 and they don't even have money to keep the lights on anymore 🤒 their food standard is the lowest ever, no-one wants to import their GMO rubbish : NHS get ready for cancer epidemic : US producers are allowed to include up to 30 insect fragments in a 100-gram jar of peanut butter; as well as 11 rodent hairs in a 25-gram container of paprika; or 3 milligrams of mammalian excreta (typically rat or mouse excrement) per each pound of ginger 🤒 US is rotten and their standards in everything is way behind Europe 🤫

@Julian EnglIsh i guess Al those insects you consumed done your brains already 🤒 Insect-filled chocolates, rat hair-infested noodles, and orange juice containing maggots are just some of the “horrors” UK consumers could be forced to accept if post-Brexit Britain signs a wide-ranging trade deal with the USA.
US producers are allowed to include up to 30 insect fragments in a 100g jar of peanut butter; as well as 11 rodent hairs in a 25g container of paprika; or 3mg of mammalian excreta (typically rat or mouse excrement) per each pound of ginger.
In the EU there are no allowable limits for foreign bodies in food products.

@Quo Vadis Quo Warranto US food standards are high. Those producers fear big lawsuits and the laws are tight. The food also is abundant. GMO food are the best. It merely makes agricultural better by genetically modifying food and make seeds more resistible to draught, diseases, and it yields quicker. Grow up.

What unsubstantiated rubbish ! I have for years been buying US peanut butter from ALDI here in Australia; both crunchy and smooth in 800gm jars. It is cheaper than anyone else’s and absolutely bloody delicious. It appears finely packaged and presented. I have never been made I’ll nor seen anything foreign in any of it. Btw the figures you quote per 100 gm are ridiculous!! Multiply those to arrive at what (you say) I am likely to be buying in an 800gm jar and there would be 240 insect fragments, and 352 rodent hairs. What absolute nonsense and if there were a choice between eating any US peanut butter or spending one minute in your company, I would choose the peanut butter every time. Clearly, it would be less contaminated.
