As a huge Trek Fan, and a fan of TNG, I have to say that Picard has been dreadful. It’s not Trek, and it’s not even Picard. Stewart has become a feeble, grumpy old man, and he’s not fun to watch. Q might get me to watch again, but I’m afraid they’ll now ruin that character as well.

The first season showed that the people behind the show don't understand the nature of Picard at all. Bringing in Q won't fix that.

He did play Discord on My Little Pony who's character was designed based of Q, so he has some practice basically playing the same character on a different show.

When is Picard gonna invite Wheaton on the show?

I wouldn't say he hasn't played him in a while... He was Discord on My Little Pony Friendship is Magic who they actually wrote as Q so that's essentially the same character... plus he played Q in Deep Space Nine for one episode and Voyager. And he wrote a book using the character. So really it's just the first time in a long time that he'll be on screen with Picard again. And I can't wait. I own the entire Q collection, I grew up on Next Generation, he's one of my favorite characters. It's a shame he was never brought into the films but Picard, the series has such a cinematic feel to it anyway. And are the Crusher's going to show up again at some point? Beverly wasn't in the first season and I always thought Picard and her were going to end up married some day.

I believe we will see much less of Tng and much more of Stargazer history than we think. There is that bajoran artifact that has as much meaning in the teaser as the Stargazer model and the Enterprise painting on the wall. I dare to say this is going to take unexpected turns. I even dare to say i hope to see more Ds9 content eighter and maybe the return of captain Sisko. It is possible.
