I’m sorry I love you guys but none of these mousses were classic. 1. Melt chocolate and butter over a double boiler. 2. Whip egg yolk and sugar until pale ribbon consistency is reached. 3. Whips egg white with sugar and vanilla. 4. Incorporate egg yolks and chocolate and fold in egg whites. 5. Portion and refrigerate for 4-6 hours.

I chose the gourmet version. The consistency was mouth watering, the steps are quite simple, and the end result was to die for. Will be making each of these 🤤💙

I was disappointed that there wasn't an allergy free alternative this week. As someone who has gluten and diary allergies this has been an interesting twist to the COMPARED series. I have felt seen with the third option being some alternative.

Definitely the jam jar - but cream? In a chocolate mousse? Surely the only possible ingredients are eggs, maybe a little sugar and the best-quality dark chocolate you can afford. Mix melted choc with egg yolks and sugar if using, then fold in whisked egg whites and there you are. Sorted!

And no real Chocolate Mousse to be found.
You need eggs, dark chocolate, butter (rum and sugar if you want) and that's it!

  • Joanne Bridget Simpson

Lads! I'm gonna need either a how to, or a competitive episode (all the normals or normal v chef) to make dimsum and gyoza. Yum yum yum.

The word mousse is a noun that is "countable or uncountable" (according to WordHippo) which means the plural is mousse. Unless you are talking about a group of mousse which is then mousses.

I'd put it in a pie tin lined with chocolate biscuit crumbs, with an equally thick layer of chocolate cream (i.e. of the sort you'd put in a chocolate cream pie) on top of the mouse and a thin layer of the mirror glaze on top to hold it together. Don't what the heck that's called, but it's a chocaholic's dream.

I would love to see you guys make a red pasta sauce using NO TOMATOES! I'm allergic and I have my ways around it but I would love to see the chefs try it, or better yet see how the normal's cope with the thought haha (FYI I'm posting this on every video on your channel because I really want it to be seen)

Hi everyone! As an Aussie I was wondering whether either of the chefs had cooked with Kangaroo before?? Or whether the normals had tried it! It’s quite a lean meat and it can be a little temperamental. And I was wondering whether you had access to it over there in Europe?

Well, since the custom in English seems to take whatever plural form the original language has, from French that would simply make it "chocolate mousses".

You pluralize the container not the mousse. Four bowls of mousse, five cups of mousse, three champagne glasses of mousse.
