They didn't. They would run for a bit, then swap out with fresh runners to keep pace.

This somehow leaves me cold. It seems more like a scientific experiment than a world record. To sacrifice the spirit of a competition just to get the 2 hour record. I think people will one day regret that the barrier was broken in this way. It just seems to be an enterprise for big business. And anything in which Brailsford is involved I would tend to steer clear of.

I mean we are able to beat impossible things after years because people are evolving slowly probably in 30 years someone will get a 1 hour and 59 min and say 1 hour and 58 min is impossible but 40 years later someone will get that 1 hour 58 min and say 1 hour 57 is impossible until we actually hit are limits or maybe we don’t have a limit maybe someday we will evolve to teleport (I’m joking)

What can happen when your shoes fall apart, is similar to when equiptment fails during a routine or musicsl performsnce, you have to keep your performsnce going, that allows for sportsmsn conduct in your category of showmenship where sports is a process in learning. Congratulations for the human spirit sometimes has to be broken i to those finiding direction in their hope for knowing stronger faith!

Even though parenthood and difficult childhoods require stable building for the cause, and I have her blacked out right now, I find direction in the son's girlfirend would become a good marathon runner.

minus these typo errors as my correct words lettering has the computer in its own way of deciding I have these errors, where its true I place letter correct, but thats clearly, less important right now. Thank you!

When I started the video, I saw another one on the same topic by WIRED. I chose to stick to this and man.. what a great video. Captures the essence of marathons and conveys the importance accurately. All accompanied by a crisp narration, clever editing and great BGM. Thanks for a great video Mike and thanks for putting Eliud's name in the video title.

The pace runners didn't run a full marathon, they swapped out as they got too tired to keep up that pace.

Well it all depends on training. Bc i was too lazy to walk for long i ran really fast for a small amount. i started as a fat boy at like 6 and that was hard. At my peak i was running at 21.2 on the machine for like 2 mins. I was running so fast that i couldnt control if i wanted to fart or not. Its all about repetition man

We won't be seeing another sub 2h run for a while because no one with bother with all that gear again and a sub 2 in open competition is several years away.
This 1:59:40 is nothing to do with the world record. It's a freaking mind-blowing achievement, it's a big advertising exercise much more than anything else.
I hope it gets more people running!
