I enjoyed the part where he got to hug his buddy Billy Crystal. I also felt the same way when Spike Lee won his own Oscar & Spike got to embrace his buddy Samuel L. Jackson. πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

From the greatest heights an actor can achieve to the depths of suicide that no one anticipated. Let us take each day as a gift and hope that those in despair and anguish can be reached before they perform a final tragedy.

Each time when I'm desperate and sad and am in need to see how the real human kindness looks like, I go look for and watch videos of Robin Williams. And especially this clip. And every time I'm completely blown away by seeing how all of those people wholeheartedly loved him and were happy from his winning. It must feel good when you are truly and deeply loved and respected by so many people. Amazing. But you were amazing personality, Robin! I β™₯ you from the bottom of my heart forever! And thank you, for every smile on my sad face, sir. You movies and your wisdom are like gifts to the humankind.

Yeah because they never used the Oscars in the 90s to promote gay rights or black rights for that matter LOL were you even alive in the 90s? I was a child and I remember seeing gay people on the screen for the first time on TV and in movies. As well as a lot of African-American actors getting the recognition that they deserve for the roles unlike 20 years before. But what do I expect from another dumb hick that just got the internet 🀣🀣🀣🀣🀣

imo he deserved Oscar for The Fisher King, the academy is slow to catch up, or whatever their problem is. He deserved an Oscar many years b4, for all the films he's been in. Burt Reynolds in Boogie Nights, a nominee, seriously?!?!? Robin should have more than just 1 Oscar, for everything he's done here on earth, and continues to do from afar (my life being an example)

After learning of Robin's death I remember how I watched this movie and how he was able to dig deep down into his soul and give such an unbelievable performance. It was then I realised that my initial thoughts about him in this movie were correct. When at times you see him poor it all out and really bare all for everyone to see. He wasn't acting. It was real life to him.
