Each time when I'm desperate and sad and am in need to see how the real human kindness looks like, I go look for and watch videos of Robin Williams. And especially this clip. And every time I'm completely blown away by seeing how all of those people wholeheartedly loved him and were happy from his winning. It must feel good when you are truly and deeply loved and respected by so many people. Amazing. But you were amazing personality, Robin! I β™₯ you from the bottom of my heart forever! And thank you, for every smile on my sad face, sir. You movies and your wisdom are like gifts to the humankind.

I love Robin Williams I truly do, but i think Robert Forster deserved it more than anyone EVER? Every performance he's ever given was great, but especially the scene in "Alligator" when his rookie partner if being pulled into the sewer by the alligator!

imo he deserved Oscar for The Fisher King, the academy is slow to catch up, or whatever their problem is. He deserved an Oscar many years b4, for all the films he's been in. Burt Reynolds in Boogie Nights, a nominee, seriously?!?!? Robin should have more than just 1 Oscar, for everything he's done here on earth, and continues to do from afar (my life being an example)

After learning of Robin's death I remember how I watched this movie and how he was able to dig deep down into his soul and give such an unbelievable performance. It was then I realised that my initial thoughts about him in this movie were correct. When at times you see him poor it all out and really bare all for everyone to see. He wasn't acting. It was real life to him.
