Lenovo’s foldable PC hands-on: this was inevitable

  • Published on May 13, 2019
  • Foldable phones are all the rage, but Lenovo is taking things a step further with a foldable PC. Right now, it’s just a prototype, but the company promises a full version that could replace your MacBook in 2020.

The Verge Lenovo makes interesting laptops but then does not push updates which renders the device quite useless after a short time. That’s my experience with the yoga book. Never buying Lenovo again

To be honest, right now, I wouldn't change my "classic" macbook/laptop for this "folding" gadget. I've always felt uncomfortable to use a touchscreen keyboard. I like the real keyboard feeling. Anyway, this foldable technology is probably the future when it comes to phones and laptops.

    This is not a laptop.
The ultimate Laptop of such a foldable would satisfy the gamers who were willing to lug around those 21" behemoths from 2010.
    a 4k foldable that's 15 inches closed,
    21 inches open.

I feel like this was a better step towards foldable displays than phones.
I love that book laptop/tablet reading example, it just looked so much more ideal than what the galaxy fold had.
    - Yes, laptops already fold, but the idea to combine laptops and tablets has always been evolving too, and this is an interesting next step to the formulation of the hybrid.

If they want to use that tech so bad then they should make a gaming laptop with one side that has a physical keyboard and the other side has 13" screen with foldable 6.5" on each side so that it form a 26" wide screen when completely unfolded.

I think it ignores the ultimate goal of folding....folding is supposed to make the device smaller and save you some space while making the display huge. If you're going to use this as a portable TV, no problem. But this is a laptop, and you basically use it as folded 90 degrees. It'd have keyboards on a screen; no feedback or anything. I don't see why this device has an advantage over other laptops.
