    It missed, the (dead?) founder suffered a traumatic blow and was pushed underneath the sea plants. It's quit unlikely the fish devoured a fish of that magnitude with that little effort in that little time with such a small oral oriface. Maybe that is what they meant by More than it can chew in the title.

      No the fish did not miss. You can still see the silver fish inside the frogfish's mouth when its chewing. Frogfish have incredibly strong muscles that they can use to react at insane speeds, otherwise there would be no way to catch their prey. That's why it devoured such a large fish so quickly.
