  • These English muffins are so much fun to make. I hope you give them a try. I have already come across another variation and if it is good I will share it with you. It is a soft batter that you pour into a ring. But in the meantime below is the recipe for this video.
    1 cup milk
    2 Tablespoons butter
    1 egg
    scant 1/4 tsp salt
    2 tsp sugar
    3 cups flour
    1-1.2 tsp yeast

Why not the second raising, and why not use cornmeal or semolina, if they are undercook you can bake them in a low degree oven for a couple of minutes till they are fully cooked inside 🌹

Yes, Thank you for these ideas. I think that they should cook completely in the pan. If they are getting dark too quickly turn the flame down a bit. I love the cornmeal idea. I think that I have seen these muffins with cornmeal on the outsides. Thanks again for watching. Margie

Thank you for sharing, this recipe looks easier than others, so this recipe no corn meal and no bake?

My grandma used to make orange marmalade right about now, in January because it is citrus season. She used Seville oranges which are supposed to be the best for orange marmalade. Thanks for commenting,Margie

They are pretty cool. They do not taste like Thomas's English Muffins... I am still looking for that recipe. But they are pretty good. Thanks for taking the time to comment.Margie
