It was a designed play call. Dak didn’t just randomly decide to run the ball. They ran this in practice & they felt comfortable enough to use it in this game. This was on Kellen Moore.

As a 49er fan - I was cheering the firing of Jimmy Johnson. That guy would have won more than 2 Superbowls with that roster. Their O-line with Larry Allen was unstoppable and having poached Haley from the 49ers, could stop any passing game. @Joshua D. I don't think that low throw to Kittle was meant to be caught. I think Jimmy was throwing it into the ground. There were 3 defenders close. It would've been a tackle for loss had he caught it. Nobody was open. Jimmy was still in the pocket so had to target someone or else would've got the flag for intentionally grounding. At least that's what I thought I saw. Even if it was a perfect throw Kittle should've just knocked it to the ground due to the defenders right there. Kittle was behind the line about 4 yards.

@Fier The Great they had no timeouts left, so what do you mean they could have called a game timeout? I understand you’ve listened to all the talking heads on ESPN/talk radio, but 14 seconds is more than enough time to clock the ball with 4-5 second to spare. Also, the referee who had to touch the ball and spot it, was the furthest away referee on the entire field out of the 8-10 refs. The dude wasn’t doing his job plain and simple…

Its easier to blame the refs. It's getting old. A loss should never be blamed on a single play anyway

@D12 it was fair though! You CANNOT under ANY circumstances spot your own ball and snap!
By handing the ball to the ref, they have the ability to call a game timeout to discuss what happened to get the spot right and time right. It took the ref 3 secs to run 20 yards to the new LOS just for neither the QB or Center to notice they can’t do that. Once Dak slid he should’ve met the ref with the ball, it would’ve saved 3-4 secs guaranteed and they would’ve been able to line up without a running clock.
But the more I watch makes me wonder if that was the plan. Self snap the ball to force a game timeout because without the ref spotting, it’s a dead ball anyways. But idk if that comes with a penalty or a clock runoff.

and barely targeted his best WR which in turn got his head out of the game...I woulda been feeding Lamb...he is way too talented

He hesitated a bit, but I kind of don't blame him. Everyone goes on about their receiving corp being the best in the league. His best WR can't seem to get open. His second best WR can't seem to catch the ball, even when it hits him right in the hands.
His starting RB is slow and struggles to break 40 rushing yards a game. To make matters worse, he can't seem to hold on to the ball when you hand it to him, much less make catches that you would expect any starting RB to make.
His only two reliable weapons are his 4th best receiver and his 2nd best tight end, and half of their plays get called back because of a poorly coached O-Line that gets penalized every other play.
Dak has his flaws, but on their list of problems, he's nowhere near the top.

Dan just played on crap teams while Brady and Montana played on great teams. This isn't a knock on Brady at all. I think he is as good as any QB in history, but I am VERY confident that if Joe Montana, Dan Marino, Drew Brees, or Aaron Rogers were put in the exact same position, they would have won 7 Super Bowls too.

Teams win, not individuals.
Was it Brady who held the Greatest Show on turf to 17 points in the 2001 Super Bowl? Was it Brady that had the Patriots in the top 5 in points allowed 9 times during his time with the pats? Was it Brady who kicked the game winning field goal in the snow in the 2001 AFC title game against the Raiders? Was it Brady who led the Pats to an 11-5 record after Brady was lost to for the season to an ACL tear? Was it Brady who dropped/knocked away the potential game winning TD in the end zone in the 2011 AFC title game? Was it Brady Who held Seattle scoreless in the 4th quarter of the Super Bowl? Was Butler really Brady in disguise when he made that amazing pick in the end zone? Was it Brady who held the Falcons scoreless in the 4th quarter of the Super Bowl? When they beat NE, the patriots were bad. First time with Philly was before they learned to finally run the ball(Still think this coaching staff is in over their head), they should have lost to the Chargers after they wiped 14 points away for dumb stuff and the Saints weren't that good this year. I kinda fully expected Dallas to lose this game. They don't show up for good teams(Even though Jimmy G kinda makes calling the 49ers a good team a little hard right now).

Y’all’s best two wins came against a chargers team that didn’t make the playoffs and a pats team who got embarrassed. Stats are misleading. The 49ers on the their hand was in a division where 3 teams made the playoffs and were in the super bowl 2 years ago.

@D12 The Cowboys literally showed that in the NFL 2+ scores aint sh*t to overcome since they almost did it, especially when the opponent you're facing has Jimmy "Why don't you, Mr Linebacker, hold this ball for a while since I'm tired of doing it. Here, catch!" Garoppolo as their QB. Makeup call or no makeup calls, those penalties helped the Cowboys. It's not the 9ers fault that the Cowboys have a coach that doesn't instill discipline when it comes to penalties and execution, it's not the 9ers fault that the Cowboys D-end doesn't know where to line up relative to the neutral zone or not hold in plain view of the official, etc. That's not on the 9ers...Also, why would the NFL even have the refs lean towards the 9ers when the Cowboys are "America's Team", a bigger brand, with a more prominent & powerful owner, with basically a f*cking amusement park as a playing facility, a QB that's considered more highly, with their games being the most highly rated in the league, etc.? Having Dallas go deep in the playoffs would be more beneficial to the powers that be in the NFL. Hooking up the team with not even the largest media market in CA would seem like a dumb thing to do.

There is a difference between 15 flags and 6 flags buddy. Also all the 49ers flags came when they were up by 2+ scores. As if they were likely make up calls at that point from the entire game..

Him and a reciever so some team will be ok with eating zekes money! And build around parsons! The defense can carry you there, dak won’t win you the game he just gotta learn to not lose it for ya. All he had to do red being behind or not, is go down five yards sooner. Your not playing for 3 you gotta take a shot to the endzone so it doesn’t matter what yard line your on as long as you can get it there

@D12 The 9er guard, Laken Tomlinson, cost a big run play because of a holding penalty, and all-pro tackle Trent Williams cost another big gain with a penalty. WR Brandon Aiyuk also cost the 9ers a significant gain on a holding penalty in the second half, so I don't know what you're getting at. In losses, sometimes I do this as well, is that fans get a sort of tunnel vision where they don't see/notice/remember/etc. the mistakes & bad things that happen to the opponent and they mainly focus on the mistakes & bad things that happens/happened to their squad. Maybe this happened to you regarding this game but maybe it didn't, nevertheless trust that the 9ers made a bunch of mistakes in that game, maybe not 14 yellow flags worth of mistakes like the Cowboys, but enough of them that effected the game for the 9ers.

@benjamin limback If Jerry was smart, fire McCarthy and elevate Quinn to HC. Players seem to respond better to him. Let Moore go test the waters, but I would upgrade that spot. If I were a Cowboys fan, I'd be upset that you guys can beat up bad teams, but can't buy a win against good football teams.

Yeah, when I see Jimmy G. play, at 30 years old and now in his 8th pro season, I see greater future success for Mac Jones and am more impressed by what he looked like in his rookie year. Jones is going to be a better player and have a better career than Jimmy G. We can safely say that Jones' ceiling is going to be higher than Jimmy G. standard level play. Jones will improve his arm strength (his only weakness, really), and he has more football smarts and work ethic than Jimmy G.

Appreciate Mahomes? Mahomes is a top tier quarterback. Almost cant compare the two..

My main point was the 49ers played poorly compared to how they play vs the Rams, and if they played as well as they played vs the Rams they beat Dallas by 30. And, people who understand what they are watching know that J G played better in the first half vs the Rams than either half he played vs the Cowboys. He had a few bad possessions in the first quarter vs the Rams, but for real football guys like me, it was obvious those issues where much more the OLine rather than JG.

The slow start including the turnovers were more the OLine not him. And he looked nothing like as good vs the Cowboys, missed open receiver after open receiver….keep in mind the point is the comparison. The niners played much worse vs the cowboys or it would have been a blowout 20+ points.

As far as winning team theory, mostly ever QB has losing record against winning teams, look it up. Also Daks salary this year didn’t hurt the team. Coaching cost us, and Dak didn’t over come it.

You're going to get to a point where you're going to get sick of defending him. I was like that with Wentz at first. Especially after his second season. He just proved his final 2 seasons in Philly that he just simply didn't get it.....then in Indy, he probably blew that sweet deal. Dak plays very well against crappy teams, but rarely shows up against good teams. That was the Cowboys this year as well.
