- How's it going Dazzlers? Welcome BACK to Daz Games and another Daz Watches! Today we are watching something a bit different. I have always had a love for horror films, and this short found footage type video popped up about a place called the Backrooms. It's a wonderful short and the eerie feeling you get while watching is very impressive.

Daz: This is the lowest budget King Kong ever
2 minutes later
Also Daz: This is so well made I’m scared
@Red guy with a Top Hat exactly LMFAO
lol
lol 😂
ikr istg
NAH XDDD
To think a 16 year old made this is crazy. The level of talent. What a legend.
@Liliana Maria y Alicia you're missing the point.
@Liliana Maria y Alicia stop u sound so bitter
@Emma N what did the person say?
@Emma N what did he say he’s comment deleted
@Bethanie Travers what he say?
So for anyone who doesn’t know the backrooms has an infinite amount of “layers”. The Yellow Walls is level 0 and different layers have different rules of existence
-🤓
@Cheerios_Tho ik im a dumb ass
@Crusaderverse no it’s level 0
It’s not infinite
i was waiting for someone to say this lol the backrooms is kinda like a little obsession of mine
the wall: “don’t move, stay still”
daz: “run!”
He says it after he runs
@The_Lion the wall was most likely trying to trick him
I think he switches because the guy doesn't listen to the wall, and starts to run. If he isn't going to listen, he might as well have a fast pair of legs!
Who else feels slightly more safe when ur watching scary vids with TheXvidrs but a bit more safe with people like daz
When I feel scared I just look at his horrified face to make me feel better
yea that's why I do it 😂 I feel more safe with peaple I watched this with my friend and daz ofc
Fun fact: the monster in the video is called a “Duller”, an entity that you can find in the first stages of the backrooms
But it's a howler.
when it says stay still is that the way to counter it or should you run
I've been looking for it thank you ya legand
The kid who made this is literally amazing, the editing and the script and proces of this is literally amazing! He has a big future ahead!
@Patrick there's no hotel tho, just *b a c k r o o m s*
@Patrick no, he confirmed that this is all CGI
He did fil it at a real place when you saw the indoor hotel its actually a real place
There was actually a house that had a similar color to the yellow here. The reason why this is very unsettling to me is because they later found out that the wallpaper was human flesh and skin sewn together.
@XBubbas lol
@Vidi I'm not going to try to find it just to prove to two random people on the internet whose opinions I couldn't care less about. Plus I don't remember where I found it, it could have been a story that I remember. So no, if you want to see if what I'm saying is true or not, you can find it yourself.
Video or it didn’t happen
@XBubbas Point me to a news article about it then.
Oh yea, 4got abt that
This video gives you the feeling of being calm but also tensed up
being chased by a stick figure has never been so horrifying
Ikr
@Amber Skinner r/woooosh
@kay-celia thomas your ex is a haunted stick figure tripod thing? no wonder she / he won an award for best photography. (ofc i do NOT mean any offensive things to you, or your ex at all, this is just a joke.)
Ikr
FR FR
This is like a more tense version of “As Above, So Below”, and I love it. Holy crap, this is way more cool and unsettling, and it doesn’t even have a driving forward plot narrative other than “try to get out”.
By no clipping from reality, you will basically end up in the backrooms. And the entities on level 1 (or 0) are normally not there and that's why the office level with the exaggerated hum buzz of the florescent lights, yellow wallpaper and damp carpet that smells bad is normally considered the 'tutorial level'. There are various different levels with all sorts of weird identities and entities. some levels are IMPOSSIBLE to survive whether it be because of the entities or the environment of it and some levels are quite easy to live on for the same reasons.
(sorry if any of this is incorrect this is just from my understanding)
"that is a ladder to nope" had me shidding myself 💀
I love daz so whenever I’m scared when he’s watching horror things I just look at his face and wait for his expressions so I can be happy again ilysm Daz you really brighten my day!!🥰❤️🩹
Daz is definitely the cool uncle at family gatherings that every cousin looks up to and loves them
Thats just true
Yeah I agree!
fr
The fact that he ACTUALLY looks like my uncle-
I love The Backrooms. I only just saw it today. And the guy who directed the short film is only 16!! Mad. I’m gonna keep rewatching it I love it so much! Suspense is so well done
The backrooms has grown so much from just one image of level 0, it’s pretty neat.
This whole scenario should have the song "Fuck This Shit, I'm Out" on loop.
Also, only the *camera* fell from the Backrooms. If you pause it at the right time, the creature is HOLDING the cameraman as the camera hurtles to the ground.
Daz: ‘don’t scream.’
????: ‘HELLO?!!!!’
The back rooms genuinely terrify me not the creatures inside or the endless rooms but the concept of them.
Yea just the fact ab places that only you are at that feel so familiar but only look like dream locations
@Ciara pretty much an endless simulation of nothingness with no escape
@TGFbro69 then what happens if you no-clip? Thanks for the comment tho bc I get paranoid easily lmao
@Grace yeah u can no clip out of reality into nothing
@TGFbro69 WHAT
When he started running did I go
'she's a runner, she's a track star'
Yes. Yes I did.
(I’m gonna get really geeky here so heads up)
Backrooms, in the ‘canonical’ sense, is not only just the maze with yellow walls and fluorescent lights, but there are also other areas within the Backrooms, separated into groups called ‘levels’. Some levels are extremely dangerous and pretty much are a death sentence, whereas some are safe with generally good vibes. You can also noclip into these areas, which is done by not having your body properly make contact with something, and therefore phasing through.
Me: Always thinking I'm going to fall through to the backrooms
Also me: telling myself that if Daz hasn't fallen through yet, I won't!
I'm totally paranoid
I’m exactly the same. I’m so scared. I see some people saying they are not real and others saying they arent
How he managed to create the backrooms to a quality almost indistinguishable from reality is insane. Does anyone have any idea on how he was able to create this?
Imagine if daz was teleported into the backrooms. He would punch everyone into 2034
@seMzwhat is it
@r Dont...click on the links..if you favor your eyes.
no one talking about all these bots
@Instagram User ...my ears..
Lmao the bots doing their job 💀
its gonna be so cool if someone made a movie like backrooms!
This seems familiar to me for some reason and I’ve been having weird dreams lately about all kinds of places. What’s weirder is that all these dreams seem connected to each other, it’s like a story with almost similar buildings where I have to escape and then I’m trapped and can’t get out + weird creatures/humans. Now this will be a bit off topic but idk why but sometimes in my dreams, to get out of there, I need to go through something dark and unsettling which is weird since there are better surroundings around with lots of exits but no, I had to to exactly there and scare the living hell out of me😂
Ah yes finally getting to laugh at daz being scared when I know every jump scare because I have seen this before nice
I absolutely love that fact that at 13:08 you can see Daz’s eyes light up as he realizes it is the beast that made the sound
*huge stick figure man screaming and chasing a terrified teen through endless beige corridors*
Daz, an empath, sensing that something isn’t quite right:
@CHV HW you must be fun at parties
@CHV HW they're not being serious it's a joke
@CHV HW r/wooosh
Daz sure IS an empath. No doubt.
@CHV HW girl take a joke
This is an amazing film, the wire thing is terrifyingly well done and the actual generated effect for the backrooms is brilliant
I remember watching you years ago, good to see this channel is still thriving : ) subbed
What makes these back rooms so terrifying is that it feels like you've been there before. Like those dreams where you know you've been there before. The only reason why this happens is mainly because of your memories. Most of these dreams involve playgrounds and play areas because that is your childhood. And when your sub-conscious goes to make your dreams, it uses your memories that you might not remember but your sub-conscious does. And when it is shown to you you get that feeling of i've been here before. And that feeling makes you confused and worried. What also makes this scary is that because of the camera quality. Like the fact that it is a maze of death is scary enough. And that blank/white noise of ambience makes you feel focused because your trying to focus on sound and you get a mini jump scare whenever that sound plays.
whenever im.. sad, deppressed, bored or in the mood for a good laugh i just turn daz on and life is sweet❤
Imagine daz in the back rooms 🤣
No one:
Not a single person:
Daz: LINDAAAAA
lmao :)
Then you hear his voice echoing "I need air, where's my air?"
If "not a single person:" THEN DONT SAY ANYTHINGG IT MAKES THE JOKE UNFUNNY
@taxabletour4 lol
lol
i love watching daz like honestly he makes me very happy. every time i feel down or sad i put on his videos and i laugh and have a great time. just watching him gets me through the day. i honestly love you and your work🤍
I personally feel like VHS taps are more “scarier” then modern videos, because there is like a way more of a higher chance that modern tapes are edited or “staged”.
I love what the legend of the back rooms has turned into because of the films, but I kinda miss what it used to be, a waiting room you get put in after you die
Daz can bring a mix between an old man trying to explain something new like a meme, but a good knowledge along with it and it’s hilarious
He was so unnerved during this - I don’t think I’ve ever heard him be so quiet for so long! 😂
i’m scared now bc i just started watching it💔💔 his frequent talking and joking is comforting for me
I find it funny how he said "has this been all cgi?" when the camera shows a place that's based on an actual location.
I freakin' loved this. Kudos to the creator. Going to subscribe right now.
I have never been more scared in my life. The whole idea of backrooms scares me shitless. I'm glad daz was here otherwise I never would have watched this
To think about if this was real is genuinely so scary, being alone in such a confusing place, no one can hear you, no one can save you. You’re stuck
Since no one made this and everyone just makes it for horror games
Jumpscare timestamps:
1:44 subtle (guy falling- camera going black)
3:08 creature peaks out
5:38 creature peaks out again
7:01 LITERAL HELL
8:09 the thing is behind you
12:25 CREATURE STARTS RUNNING AT YOU
13:08 the creature once again
13:14 falling from distance
Me watching the video and vigorously tapping watching the timer countdown for the next jump scare 😭
You're the GOAT
HELP IT GRABS THE BOY AND THE CAMERA FALLS BACK INTO OUR REALM, YOU CAN SEE HIS BODY
Thank you! I’m so bad when it comes to jumpscares😭
Isn’t 12:25 a chair?
i find it amazing that after you see him fall throught the floor its only cgi for the rest of it which i find amazing
This was filmed so well i was genuinely a little scared. but like for some reason it gives me weird/dream core vibes.
I think that this was a great experience, I’m glad that I wasn’t scared as much as i used to watch other horror videos and games.
Can we just appreciate on how enthusiastic he is even if it’s that scary
VHS always feels more real, even if it obviously isn't, If this was in crisp HD, I feel like it wouldn't be anywhere near as scary, and it would show imperfections in the effects.
there are many reasons why vhs horror tapes look more real (like the vintage feel of an outdated medium) but for realism alone i think vhs has much less visuals needed, the grain, the camera ratio etc, and the less is shown, the less you need to see for it to feel real (horrible explanation but i hope u get it) for example, cgi in the darkness. if you’ve seen the first jurassic movie, you can tell that dinosaurs hidden in darkness feel much more real than in bright daylight. i could talk so much about analog horror, liminal spaces or how this guy made it so scary,
that’s all from me, a smol person that watches way too much youtube
It might also be because it feels old and our knowledge tells us old=real because it was way harder to fake it
It's one of the reaons why I love to watch Jack Stauber's videos, of course the thing itself in nightmare fuel but just the vhs being added gives it a different feel for me.

In a creepy, twisted and sad way, whenever the creature roars/screams or whatever it sounds like "don't run" or "please don't run". At least to me
The second room just reminds me and puts a tik in my brain with the stairs if the room was bigger and it had a couch the same brown colour and like a bar with the same atmosphere it would remind me of our old family freinds we used to always play minecraft and I remember I was like 4 and they were like 10 and they turned on the lights and I just felt the feeling or something but now it’s so nostalgic calming at times but unsettling and not comfortable
I feel like things would be even scarier if there wasn’t any screaming or music when something chased you, just the sounds of their footsteps or the sound of them running
Just imagine later in the future the 16 year old makes a backrooms movie that actually blows up in the theater! like a full horror movie.
I think the fact that people get scared by simply being alone in large, quiet, open spaces is really interesting- because it just shows the primal instinct to surround ourselves with others and the fear we get when dumped into a new, unsettling environment alone. Also whenever Daz pointed out how the architecture made the Backrooms have an uneasy feeling to them- like it was unnatural and the whole thing was a maze almost. The thing that gets me though- is being hunted down but simply being unaware of it at first, then once you notice what’s stalking you it seems to make a point of staying just out of sight, but close enough that you know it’s still there and watching you. The creepy feeling of knowing that it could strike at any given moment but being helpless as to defend yourself. Truly skin crawling.
I think that that thing is probably just a human who has been trapped there for so long, that it's turned to whatever it is now, and is just trying to get help.
@Rooroo92 yeah probably
I think it would be better if you knew for sure that you were alone, but because you have no idea if you’re alone in there, it’s rather the fear of *not* being alone. At least that’s my take on it. I’ve seen multiple different perspectives of it, all sounding very interesting. But I think the idea of the back rooms itself is incredibly interesting.
@Thanos If you’re talking about that room, no, if you’re talking about that mountain summit then yes I’ve been there. I didn’t make anything up though it was actually like that, but if it was on a nicer day it probably would’ve looked less creepy. It wouldn’t be anywhere near as creepy as that room though I’d imagine.
@Rooroo92 you’ve actually been to that? Or did you very specifically make up those circumstances?
I love how he always holds his mouse ready to pause
Literally love Daz watches! I honestly like Daz because his channel literally doesn't lie.. Yes he mixes it up but he does play games.. I would be cool tho if he played games like Rocket League or something along them lines.. Just to see his reaction and how much he'd rage quit 😂😂
Something about 12:23 is both hilarious and absolutely terrifying. I think it’s the “clank” sounding thump when it hits the wall but I both pissed myself and burst out laughing
VHS Horror is more scarier, because it’s harder to fake with cgi when it’s VHS footage, so it seems more real.
Not a lot of this make me scared but this had my heart racing, something about the yellowish tint in the walls were just unsettling and id never felt more tense. Other than that amazing work the kid who made this has an amazing future ahead.
Okay story line as far as I can tell after playing a vr version, when there's a glitch in reality you get brought there or there is some door ways, there's infinite levels , cameras are EVERYWHERE any objects you find have the same teddy bear logo on it as if a company is keeping you there .
I don’t know the like super “in-depth” stuff about the backrooms and I’m going to gladly keep it that way because I know that once I dive in and learn more about them my *EXTREMELY* overactive imagination will literally make me have nightmares of them for the next six months(which is also the reason I stopped going as hard with reading creepypastas in general) 😫😫
Daz: Don't make a noise
The man for no reason: *loud cough*
I bet this would be a hit movie if they made one.
Absolutely not. Horror concepts like this don’t work at ALL as movies.
nah it’s gonna ruin the whole lore
@Miguel Vidal I think a TV series would fit better
Ya but they would have to pull it off right or else it’ll just be some bad cash grab
@Miguel Vidal just watch the other videos kane made on backrooms, there can be much more than what you are saying
Fun fact: the Async company founded this tape and its the newest footage of the series
what i found interesting was that the further he ran from it the more it sounded like a voice
This is so well made a my heart was beating so much and my God that was amazing
Well done to Kane 👏👏👏👏
Honestly I would hide in that little crawl space with the ladder 😭
Everyone: **being terrified of the monster**
My ADHD brain: Man, look at the pelvis on that thing
Same. I was just like “look at them leggies!“
Same dude
Same!!
Yeah but instead I thought that about its lanky ass arms I was just like look at his boney arms is that an exoskeleton
@AcuteTriangle bro ngl I thought it was some type of trollge lol
The term 'found footage' is a style of cinematography.
"The Backrooms" give you an odd sense of comfort. It seems so familiar, yet so strange. Your mind wants to say that you have been there before, but then, you also know that you haven't been there before. The halls and rooms confuse you into thinking that it's possibly a hotel you've been to before, or the halls of a friend's or family member's house.
thought it would be cool to point out when daz says "the location for this is perfect"
...its all computer generated. which is amazing, like it looks so real!
I think one thing that makes this creepy is the color
The walls and floors have this yellow brown tint and I think because most of us have lived or spent time in a house or at the very least seen a house with that interior color scheme and it comes off as familiar. This kind of creepy familiarity is uncanny, like it’s something we feel like we know or have seen before but it’s just off enough to where it’s unsettling. It’s genius
4:57 is exactly what I’m talking about
It’s so unnerving not just it’s hideous but because it has a sense of familiarity
The best part about “Backrooms” is that all the halls and rooms look oddly familiar and it’s so unsettling
it sucks that a bot copied your comment and the bot's comment has more likes then the original comment.
@X-O Kimberly disgusting
because these are the types of places you see in your dreams
ikr for some reason they are so vaguely familiar
Please..Having trippie as favorite sexo.centre.baby artist definitely isn't a red flag. If anything, it's a green flag. .. Xxx

Daz can make the scariest video funny 😂
Also, when he exits the stairs back into the original area, the doors and walls constantly change after you exit/leave the area so there is no going back
The fear in Daz’s eyes when he heard the noise behind him 13:03
And if you didn’t see, the guy didn’t no clip back into reality only the camera. You can see the guy get killed as the camera drops
I don’t have a dad, he left when I was 8. Daz has always been there to fill that hole that had always felt empty because my father left. Daz is such a father figure.
This is incredibly impressive. And the person has a BETTER understanding of what horror is then big movie companies. The perfect balance of nothing and the fear of what's around the corner.
@Voldy356 16
@Voldy356 yeah daz said 16. Which just shows even more how impressive it is to know how horror works. This person has an incredibly solid start and I hope he gets to improve.
I also heard the guy's like 15.
@GooseOnTheLose but you must. You are the lose goose after all XD
@GooseOnTheLose been 3 mins and it's on 122
The end got me good 🤣🤣🤣 I loved it this kid is AWESOME!! He is definitely going placed
Daz said “the location they got for this looks so good, it’s perfect”
It’s an animation, it’s all CGI
DAZ: "That is a ladder to nope."
"THAT IS A LADDER TO NOPE!"
Out of the ugly yellow wall maze hell, the other place reminded me of an empty school in a way. After most everyone's left and it's getting dark out. The eerie silence paired with the familiarity making everything feel uneasy. Only hearing the loud echos of your steps on the hard floor. Unbearably loud in the quiet.
It only felt safer because there was no monster to be seen, but alone I'm not sure if it's actually better or worse.
Moral of the story: Don’t move stay still. That way if you never move, you never no-clip out of reality and into the backrooms. Beating the System😂
I don’t get it
@Noah Clapp oh no XD
people in my 600 lb life were preparing for that idea haha
@Elsa Lanchester lol
I would love to see him react to scary animations, especially the, “I heard it too” animation!!
Yea me two
I hope Daz can react to the Mandela Catalogue - I know it’s different to backrooms, but I’m interested to see his reaction to analogue horror and that eerie vibe to it
You should watch an episode of “the good doctor “ in my opinion it’s really entertaining!
That was the first time I’ve watched that video and I agree with Daz, it needs to become a movie
That was mad, this kid understands how to do horror, never show too much of the monster, just fleeting glimpses, enough for your nerve jangled fear ridden mind to fill in the gaps and instigate the fear effect, loved the locations and the nonsensical architecture, gives me Lovecraftian vibes.
Very well done
@LilMizJoker I was a kid when i saw Jaws, after I was scared to go to the toilet incase Jaws head came up the toilet and bit my ass off
Thats how Jaws did it 👌 Had people scared to even go to the beach, people even left the movie theater in the middle of the movie 🤣🤣
So true!
Perfectly explained!!
@J Dude not the place mate, pisss offf
That creatures screaming is by far the most unsettling thing I’ve ever heard
This video was just me gradually lowering my volume in case there’s a jump scare 😂
I smiled a little to dam hard when he started to talk about the Matrix 💀
You make my day Daz : D
Daz: scared
Me: can you imagine the electricity bill for that room
Right?! Especially without even having LED bulbs. 😨
They say that the backrooms go on for like 100s of miles so you can imagine
no because i was literally just thinking this
man the rent they pay for this building must be mad!
You... are golden
My heart jumped into my throat on the last scare💀
The way how the creature hits the wall and bounces is hilarious 🤣
i wonder what daz would do in this situation😭😭
AHH YES! i love liminal backrooms kinda stuff, welcome to this side of the internet daz
I just discovered the backrooms recently, and it became my new nightmare. Gives me the chills thinking about what that place could be like if it was real.
I think the dream I had turned into a lucid dream
@Puch I guess,
@George Leach same💀
Same💀
Me to!
I almost had a heart attack, that was really good and scary
