  • fran117
    fran117 6 days ago

Why is 3200 16gb ram cost as much as Ryzen 2600x on my country >.< If i pair a non Z motherboard and an i5 non K intel with 2666 memory, the cost is 30% cheaper than a ryzen 5 setup! And looking at numbers, a ryzen 5 can only match a stock i5 on gaming when its overclocked. Why are people saying Ryzen is more budget lol I guess i made up my mind of going intel since i still play World of Warcraft as my main game. But i still dont get why people think Ryzen is budget friendly here on comments, i quite agree on Linus here on going intel on midrange gaming

The current generation Ryzen is pretty much the best bang for the buck right now, and the next generation is right around the corner promising even better performance with higher clock speeds, similar TDP, etc, at pretty much similar prices, if the rumours are correct. For instance, the Ryzen 3600X will have the same number of cores as the current 2700X, but a lower TDP (95W) and it'll run at 4GHz base clock + 4.8GHz boost. I bet it could be OCed to 4.7 with a decent cooler without a problem. Again, if the rumours are correct. It's gonna be pretty exciting.

The increased need for a top end board and cooling solutions for Intel. Almost always adds a premium and ends up reducing the value for performance significantly. Another consideration. AMD has massive backwards compatability and upgradeability. Where Intel you have to upgrade EVERYTHING every time. Something ned pops up (every 6 months) We get it, Your intel fanbois.

I5 8500 is way a worse choice than Ryzen 2600 or 2600X. 2600-2600X far more cheaper now also better thred and multi core performance. Also 2700x is far better that 8600K with 2 more cores and 8 more threads also so much cheaper now! Better for streaming video encoding what support gaming if you are a youtuber. Yes less 10 fps per game average but way more better for everyting else and way cheaper. Later new games also based more on multithread and core!

For Ryzen 5 2400 G looking at Benchmarks vs results. Benchmarks would show the screen should be studdering and skipping, but the graphics have been relatively smooth. My old i5 would be skipping heavily with same frame rate. I have been running at high graphics on games and the games run smooth. The frames skipped are small.
