Monumental defeat for Brexit sparks chaos

  • Published on Jan 15, 2019
  • Theresa May's Brexit deal has been crushed by a record margin as British lawmakers rejected it by 432 votes to 202.
After eight days of parliamentary debate and 200 speeches, members of the House of Commons ignored the Prime Minister's final pleas and delivered a humiliating verdict on her plan to take Britain out of the European Union.
The result -- the worst parliamentary defeat for a British government in the modern era -- means the Prime Minister now faces a deep political crisis, with no clear path out of the mess.
Speaking moments after May's humiliating defeat, opposition Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn put forward a motion of no confidence in May's government.
Corbyn said the challenge would allow the Commons to "give its verdict on the sheer incompetence of this Government."

I just can't get my head round how CNN are misreporting this issue and the blatant bias of their correspondents, they are a disgrace. The UK is not going to crash out of the EU without a deal, we didn't want a deal in the first place. The instruction from the electorate was clear and the politicians vowed to honour that decision, not once but twice and now they are going against the will of the people. CNN and others can dress it up as much as they like but this is a betrayal that will never be forgiven and will have serious consequences not only for the UK but the world. If the CNN and the rest of the biased main stream media had any self-respect for their occupation and the people they should champion, us they would start reporting issues honestly and not be afraid to speak out. I am disgusted with the lot of them.

+Leon. The instruction was clear as all political parties and parliament including the Prime Minister David Cameron made perfectly clear, a vote to leave the EU would mean exactly that, the UK would leave the EU. No if's, no but's leave and everyone both for and against went to great pains to empathize that fact. The British people completely understood what they were being asked and that to be the truth. Living as they did in what was left of their democracy, they put their trust in their elected representatives. They did not expect to be lied to and have their democratic will denied, thwarted and betrayed. You can dress things up as much as you like but I know I'm right and so do the majority who voted to leave that bureaucrats wet dream, the EU.

    • Leon.
      Leon. 13 days ago

The instruction was not clear. The vote simply was on leaving the EU. Whether the UK should leave the EEA, the Customs Union, Euratom or anything else than the core EU was *not* on the ballot and has *never* been voted on by the British public.

22 March 2019 : Theresa plans to put her "deal" to Parliament FOR A THIRD TIME next Tuesday ["Cee U Next Tuesday", Theresa :)] but it hasn't got a chance in hell of being passed, considering the last time it was defeated by 149 votes and it is inconceivable that 75 of her Tory MP's will switch...... Chaos is a term the deep state uses as a fear tactic when things don't go their way. The people of Britain have voter to leave the EU. It's high time their public "servants" (they're anything but...) capitulate to the will of their constituents.

Can we PLEASE just have the news and not all these peoples emotional opinions of what the news might mean. We the British people are perfectly capable of listening to this broadcast, what the honorable members, The Speaker, and the Prime Minister have to say, and drawing our own conclusion as to what might, or might not happen, (a futile, and anxiety making exercise when we, at this point, can have no impact on what Parliament will do tomorrow) and frankly, you all saying what YOU think might or might not happen sounds to me like a lot of rabble-rousing! Most distasteful, and destructive.

How to break the Brexit deadlock, a pragmatic approach which does not require either a second referendum, a "traditional" general election, without the issue being used for party political gain or games being played or disturbing the political makeup of the house until the next general election.
    1. Each MP is asked their personal stance, so how they voted in 2016, Remain in EU or Leave the EU. (this should be pretty much on record anyway
    2. Look at how that MP's constituency voted in 2016. Simple to do.
    3. Any constituency where the 2016 result clashed with their representative's personal view is identified.
    4. As MP's are compelled to act in the best interests of their constituents, it is clear that those MP's can't in all good conscience say they have the mandate to represent that constituency. Therefore, in those constituencies only, those standing MP's should declare this difference and submit themselves to a constituency-wide "single issue (EU) local referendum" vote now.
    5. If voters reselect that MP to represent them, it necessarily means that that constituency has changed its view from the 2016 result. The standing MP is then free to retake their seat in Parliament and represent them in good conscience, simple.
    6. If the MP loses this constituency wide vote, it necessarily means that the voter's views have not changed since 2016 and are in conflict with their standing MP. Therefore, the MP should resign and a by-election called.
    7. if possible, all opposition parties should plead "no contest" in said election, this way, the sitting party is still going to be the default winner of this by-election. This has precedent as parties agreed to ton contest the election of a Labour MP in place of Jo Cox after her murder, for example, so I don't see why this can't be done. However, the party who's seat it is should find an alternative representative from their own stock that happens to have a view on the EU that reflects that constituency's on that subject only.
    8. Return these new MP's to Parliament. This would not change the makeup of the house from the 2017 election numbers, but it would now reflect the country on the EU issue.
    9. Get MP's to then vote according to their mandate on the EU without being restricted on this issue.
    Job done either way.
Yes, this does need time and an extension to article 50 but the EU seems to be ok with this.
Yes, this would be very hard to do in reality but it does give you what should be a parliamentary majority for an option going forward and therefore break the current ludicrous deadlock. It also makes MP's accountable for their views and if they are honourable, they should agree to this approach and stick to their previously held convictions.
It should be a matter of public record where MP's stood on the EU question in 2016 anyway, so hard for them to deny it.

What I don't understand is why May can push a deal that is based on lies and misinformation. The movie just released on HBO BREXIT spells it out so well. The people of Britain were scnuckered into voting to Leave the EU. Investigations proved that. So how can May proceed as if leaving is the will of the people? Trump is also an illegitimate President. We may get rid of him but a do over is not in our cards. Funny how both elections were funded by the same people who are out to dismantle democracies world wide.

The Lisbon Treaty and what will happen if we don't Leave the EU.
    ..Google it for yourselves. ...!
Read and BELIEVE! If you have any doubts about leaving the Corrupt EU
and its corrupt unelected Bureaucrats of Brussels this will make you
change your mind to LEAVE MEANS LEAVE
What will actually happen if we stay in the EU and has already been
agreed? Check it out if you wish:
1: The UK along with all existing members of the EU lose their
abstention veto in 2020 as laid down in the Lisbon Treaty when the
system changes to that of majority acceptance with no abstentions or
    veto’s being allowed.
2: All member nations will become states of the new federal nation of
the EU by 2022 as clearly laid out in the Lisbon treaty with no
    exceptions or vetoes.
3: All member states must adopt the Euro by 2022 and any new member
state must do so within 2 years of joining the EU as laid down in the
    Lisbon treaty.
4: The London stock exchange will move to Frankfurt in 2020 and be
integrated into the EU stock exchange resulting in a loss of 200,000
plus jobs in the UK because of the relocation. (This has already been
pre-agreed and is only on a holding pattern due to the Brexit
negotiations, which if Brexit does happen the move is fully cancelled
but if not and the UK remains a member it’s full steam ahead for the
5: The EU Parliament and ECJ become supreme over all legislative bodies
    of the UK.
6: The UK will adopt 100% of whatever the EU Parliament and ECJ lays
down without any means of abstention or veto, negating the need for the
UK to have the Lords or even the Commons as we know it today.
7: The UK will NOT be able to make its own trade deals.
8: The UK will NOT be able to set its own trade tariffs.
9 The UK will NOT be able to set its own trade quotas.
10: The UK loses control of its fishing rights
11: The UK loses control of its oil and gas rights
12: The UK loses control of its borders and enters the Schengen region
by 2022 as clearly laid down in the Lisbon treaty

15: The UK loses full control of its taxation policy
16: The UK loses the ability to create its own laws and to implement
17: The UK loses its standing in the Commonwealth
    18: The UK loses control of any provinces or affiliated nations e.g.;
    Falklands, Cayman Islands, Gibraltar etc
19: The UK loses control of its judicial system
20: The UK loses control of its international policy
21: The UK loses full control of its national policy
22: The UK loses its right to call itself a nation in its own right.
23: The UK loses control of its space exploration program
24: The UK loses control of its Aviation and Sea lane jurisdiction
25: The UK loses its rebate in 2020 as laid down in the Lisbon treaty
26: The UK’s contribution to the EU is set to increase by an average of
1.2bn pa and by 2.3bn pa by 2020

The sooner the whole Euro Project is abandoned the better. Mainstream Media has indoctrinated to many of you. It's so shocking. Soros, the deep state, the Rothschilds etc... have already implemented their apocalyptic/diabolical/idiotic plan to flood Europe with low cost "economic migrant refugees". 59 million "economic migrant refugees" in the next 6 years respectfully. To the detriment of an already floundering Europe. This has already begun, since January 2019!
We are on the highest terror status here in France, (258 murdered by Jihadists in 3 years in terror attacks) unemployment is at 13% "officially" (probably closer to 20%). Now Soros and the banksters who control the unelected Euro Technocrats, Donald TUSK, JUNKER, Michele BARNIER etc....want more low cost/minimum wage workers. These technocrats work for the Oilagarchy. Wake up, people. please
This declaration is called the "Marrakesh accord". Can't you see what is happening? I'm just bewildered by the lack of vision. Can't you see that the fact the Oilagarchy REFUSE to accept Brexit, the will of the people? This is now being rejected by them. This is called corruption, not democracy.
Most of you will be impacted severely in a matter of a few years by staying in Europe. Your spending power, wages, culture, quality of life, security, freedoms will be obliterated. The trade argument between countries is a total smokescreen to keep you all indoctrinated and docile to the fact that we can trade with each other in Europe and around the globe as we did before the European Union. Going forward we can use the same channels of trade now established over the last 30/40 years. There is a tsunami coming. Why are half of the member states gearing up to pull out of this horrible Soros, Rothschilds, the Bilderberger GP "Marrakesh deceleration". It's the Dupe of the Century. wake up people. We can all be strong as independent states. We can have a different version of globalization that WE the people control. The UK, Ireland the rest of Europe can independently prosper perfectly. We need to stop this BS Soros Globalistic project now. Thanks !

Britain's May, Canada's Trudeau, Frances Macron, Germanys Merkel ..... All ignore the will of their people and they despise their Countries. Like the Clinton Cabal, The Bush regime, The Obama's and Nancy Pelosi,
The DNC message is " orange man bad"...go against anything President Trump supports. That's ALL they have. In the meantime, President Trump brings back jobs, lowers black on black crime, makes huge strides in human & baby trafficking, Going hard against drug traffickers, brings food stamps to lowest numbers along with unemployment. ALL AT RECORD NUMBERS.

Teresa has a huge closet of little skeletons falling out she needs to hide! Someone bigger than herself has stuff on her! May needs a new blood transfusion the paleness of her skin beefy red Tongues obvious seen in these blood lines elites is absolutely telling what they get drunk on it's not red wine neither. They couldn't resist to bring up a bloody pregnancy needing caesarean towards the end that's lunch everybody! 😂
