It’s a good album

I think this is one of their strongest albums to me, because a lot of the songs weren't too long, weren't too repetitive and had a more interesting hook + chorus. Just felt more listenable.

Not 1 word on highest buildings

I keep seeing things like he has shown "growth" and his message was so deep blah blah blah. Honestly, this album was 5/10 for me. When you think about a generational artist, you think about how others will perceive it in the future, songs like "alright", "mortal man", "don't kill my vibe", "duckworth" are the ones that future generations will look back on. I see absolutely none of those kinds of song on this album. I hate how these critics look at these albums in such a contextual way and never how it will influence.

Denzel has always sucked. Lil Pump is a better rapper than him because he at least made a good song on accident. Kodak Black is also way better. He bodied the “greatest rapper of all time” on his own song.

Most the comments are “I like the guy but his album was trash” and it’s insane to me. WHY do u like the guy? Do u know him? Coz he looks “cute”, and is so boring that u mistake it for being chill?? I guarantee if he looked like fantano( no offense) y’all wouldn’t be saying that. It’s insane to like someone you don’t even know, based only on how he looks, and not his skill or anything else.

I think we need to establish the difference between perfect, and a 10/10 album. A 10/10 album can be every album which is either one of your favorites, or an album you love so so much with all your heart that you will love forever and ever. A perfect album for me however, is an album that is perfect in any way you look at it. Which mainly means that I need to love every single song or second of that album, the flow of the album must be very smooth up until perfection, the lyrics has to be great, the music needs to be mind-boggling amazing, and of course, like Anthony said, it needs to be very relistenable. An album like that is perfect imo, and even albums I worship with all my heart, which I will still give a 10, I wouldn't necessarily call perfect, but that doesn't mean I don't love them in a level of a 10. PERFECT albums however, are rare. But they exist

I'm so confused by the response to this record, I found this to be overall the weakest link in their discography, I loved A Fever Dream and i prefer Re-Animator to this, yet everyone's saying that this matches up to Get To Heaven.

As usual, I couldn’t disagree more with your opinion on Arcade Fire albums. To me this was a real return to form for them after the abysmal Everything Now, and I had it on repeat for days. I hadn’t been that into anything since The Suburbs, even though that’s a lot better and so is Reflektor because the lyrics on those albums are smarter. I know a lot of people don’t like the lyrics “I unsubscribe,” but idk, they really hit home for me and I’m wondering if people are just not getting it. I’m honestly surprised that you keep listening to and reviewing Arcade Fire albums at this point.
