Fix your data bottlenecks with Trino, Hive, and S3
Views 1504 months ago
Relational databases are wonderful tools, and they are more than capable of handling many workloads. But one dark day the data stopped flowing. As our customer base grew, so did the data volume and we couldn’t keep up. As we watched our queue grow, data processing put an undue burden on our database, preventing the API from serving requests in a timely manner. Enter Trino to save the day. This ...

Enrich your mesh with webassembly
Views 624 months ago
Service mesh has been a great solution to resolve some of the issues introduced by the microservice architecture by providing service to service tracing, security, client-side routing, and more, but every company is different, thus a need for the extra mile service-to-service communication customization. In this talk we will explore how to customize the communication between services using weba...
It wasn't DNS: Infra CICD with KubeVirt and Tekton
Views 504 months ago
You’ve must heard of this very famous haiku at some point in your career: It’s not DNS There is a no way it’s DNS It was DNS Unfortunately, it was, because we couldn’t test that DNS change. We know that testing infra components can be hard. It is not cheap to have or maintain a test environment for everything or sometimes access to these systems is highly restricted (for good reason!). Also, we...

Hi. I'm not the best at English and couldn't understand everything so well. At the end, John meant that Selenium 4 is like the 15th competing standard from the meme, like a Selenium attempt to not dying? Am I correct? I'm a junior tester and considering giving Cypress more attention rather than Selenium. I did basic courses for both.

If you came here to learn how to design and develop a Cockpit plugin, I'll save you some time and frustration - this was a complete mess (or kerfuffle as the presenters call it) and a waste of 16 minutes. It does not deliver what the title promises because the environment was so messed up. Why post this?

Hi, I stumbled upon your video. Its the only one of its kind, and I was very happy when I read the title and listened to you in the beginning. But I have the video in 1080p and your screen sharing blurry through the whole video (I think), so that made it difficult to follow along. Thankfully its ok for my own part, but I think it might be harder for people who are new to all of this to tag along. Still, great video.
