Fantastic work guys!! The characters look amazing!!
hey .... dumb question..... may I have the hammer please ??? I would buy it from you but I'm only thirteen so I'm broke
This isn't uru metal 😂
Now make me Loki's scepter.
They didnt make the hammer they have fuckin 336 subs. They copied this video.
This thing is awesome!
It was not forged from metal? Bumer
tengo que hacer algo similar
How were they able to lift it?
+Alana Bessette (Alana Autopsy) I think he was talking about the people who made it •__•
The hammer doesn't weight much. Chris could lift it no problem. In ultron, it was made so no one could lift it. They cut scenes and changed the hammer in which was the lighter one.
wow <3
Uhm, why is the powder mould equal to the metal part? at 1:53??
they forgot the inscription, the Odin's spell
Do you guys build to order? If do what would be the sale price? If you Would to do that?
you forget something in the bottom
Although the technology of 3d printing is fantastic, so is the technology of Bluray and the ability to screen grab HD shots, the head on this hammer is not the same as on screen, this looks like some sort of idealistic version. no dings, too shiny and something about the scroll work also looks odd.
I was the art director - not the director of the company. I am often in the states. It's not a threat - I am a genuine, nice guy. I am an Australian - a threat would be clear. I don't like bad energy or misunderstandings and the net is not the place to resolve things. I don't think I have any enemies in the industry - only friends. My peers that are giants in the industry have said not to pursue this but I am not as wise as them and the whole thing leaves me feeling sad and upset Lee. Nobody ever seems to say negative things to my face. Ask around for someone that has met me or worked with me? Jet
look......... you called me a troll. yet you have changed your statement, I have friends who worked on the other hammers, so I am not a troll. You know others made hammers as well. So I will fight back for TROLL comments. If I was still in the UK I would have no issue meeting you, if that is some sort of veiled threat, its not going to go down as you think. I'm pretty sure you know I am stateside so its a hollow offer anyway. I have no issue with YOU, just issue with half truths. As for PS going under, that's down to the powers that be pricing themselves out of things and getting into huge debt. Good luck.
Lee - that is a nasty and cheap shot buddy. The demise of Propshop does not reflect on my work. In the industry I am on good terms with Barry Gibbs and the others. I took the time to look at your body of work and it is simply great. I am not sure why you feel that you have a personal issue with me. How about you meet me in person so that we can resolve these issues - I will take the time to meet you Lee. I have never claimed that PS has all of the credit - we all know that everyone is a small cog in a big machine. My regards to you were sincere Lee. I said that we did the hero hammers and light casting hammer. Casts were taken for the stunt hammers. I have never been without projects or work and I hope this does not change. Keep up your good work on RPF, looks great. Hope to meet you if you wish. Regards, Jet
I am not upset, Just give credit where its due, and stop trying to take full credit. As for the trolling comment and movies to make, I assume you have got a new job since the prop shop went under. I would return your half hearted best wishes, but karma has apparently dealt with you. So no need. Ciao.
BTW Lee, for the record - I am not calling anyone a liar. There were many hammers. Stunt hammer - Light hammer - Hero hammers.... as is the nature of film production. I can't see why you are so upset. Look at the other work we have done - should show our credibility. Best wishes Lee.
I love this video. I am wondering what products are being used specifically for the aging technique - the rubbing pastes and what is being sprayed from the can and spritzed from the spray bottle?
Acrylic paint
So these people made the hammer that Chris hemsworth used in the movie??
+martin swinney Yes we did..... sorry, I didn't see your post 8 )
+Matt Holder I have been waiting a while lol
+martin swinney You seriously expect them to reply to you... lol

So essentialy anyone can make the hammer if they had a 3D printer and the design.
zack9941 +the painting skills, time and money :)
I really hope they do not change this hammer for the 3rd Thor Movie.
They destroyed it :D
Me need this pattern on hammer for 3D moddelnig. Where can I find it?
what are the measurements of the hammer head?
@Propshop do u guys sell these? I would like details please
Man at arms did this, but out of real metal.
Oh cool! Was this used in the film?
Yep, we were lucky enough to create the Mjölnir's for Thor: The Dark World. We collaborated on the design of the pommel with Barry Gibbs, but the head of the hammer only had minor alterations and stays faithful to the original design.
Thanks for the video, the hammer looks awesome! What are the "leather" rings made of?
@Propshop OK, Thanks!
@daddysmooth1000 I'll put it forward and see what we can do!
@Propshop Well, I really appreciate this video. Any chance of a more detailed breakdown of the process from beginning to end? Maye a write up with pictures on your website. Hey, it can't hurt to ask LOL!
Thanks, it's one of our favourite props that we've ever made! When we 3D modelled the hammer it was decided that the "leather" rings would be 3D printed, so there was no seam. Each segment was then individually finished to look like leather.
When will you post the making of the Thor hammer video?
