Thank you for spending a bucket load of money on something we now know, it should be spent elsewhere hahaha. the Acrylic one would have been good if it was as said, worked in Stereo, but at a quarter of the price, or if it came with two units, one for each speaker out type thing at half the price. Yet again another China garbage product is only good for the skip, the only difference now is they are asking a serious amount of money for landfill products.

Not a fan of how the two 'channels' are mirrored so that bass it presumably on both outer edges. 14 columns is also barely enough for one channel for my taste, so splitting it is.. what were they thinking?

They must have had a funny old product development process at Sony. One day an engineer came up with this idea for this weird product, and other people must have signed off on it so he could access funds and resources to build a prototype and then get it into production and to market without anyone senior saying "hold on - it's absolutely pointless". But then again, who am I to criticise a large, successful corporation? Maybe you have to give the staff sufficient freedom - sometimes it'll result in a chordmachine, but sometimes it'll result in the walkman.

I wonder if the wire recorder actually inspired Shigawire from the classic Sci-Fi book Dune. Seems to do the same thing from it's description. I remember reading Dune in middle school for the first time, and wondered how Shigawire was supposed to work. I kinda assumed it was some kind of super advanced film real, like micro film used in espionage, but applied to motion picture. (Hey... They had some wacky technology in Dune, anything was possible!)

There's no one I trust more than the fans of this channel. I don't want a mini hi-fi due to the space it takes up and the limitations of it playing in one room only. What I would like is to dust off my CD collection, put a disc into a simple-to-operate CD player and play it over bluetooth to one (or more) of the dozens of the bluetooth-enabled smart speakers around my house. Is there an aesthetically-pleasing, robust, standalone CD player either in bookshelf or portable format that can do this? Or, to put simply, what are the current small(ish) CD players that output bluetooth that you'd recommend? Searching the internet is a dead-end because it just brings up mini hi-fi's with built-in CD that can receive bluetooth input, but can't transmit bluetooth output. Thanks.
